As Ross walked down the road he saw a distant figure with a dog. Not knowing whether or not the figure was hostile made Ross rather not interact with it but he was short important supplies. If he was lucky, the figure would be part of a settlement or at least be a trader. He took a puff out of his cigar before waving to get the figure's attention. As he waved, he stuffed his left hand into his pocket and gripped his combat knife. He wanted to be prepared in case they weren't friendly.

➣ Casey soon saw a large figure out in the distance. Marcilene let out a low growl as she stood tall with her ears perked, closely watching the unknown figure in the distance. The girl held up her crossbow and looked through the scope to see exactly what was out in the distance and saw a man. Casey wasn't sure if she should approach or avoid the man since most strangers she comes across are dangerous but she could only hope for the best and her faithful companion to help her out.

Ross continued to walk towards the figure and soon realized they had a crossbow. This made him uneasy but the fact that he wasn't shot dead was a good sign. Ross continued to firmly grip his knife while waving his other hand. Maybe this was his lucky day.

➣ The girl saw that he was waving but she also noticed his left hand staying in his pocket so she would have to remain cautious. Casey decided to walk a little ways further and have the stranger walk the rest of the way. The wolf hybrid paced back and forth behind her owner glaring at the stranger as he approached. The saddle bags she carried made a few sounds from the leather as the duo waited patently.

Once Ross got close enough he called out, "trader, citizen or scavenger?" The person was obviously a woman at this point and was understandably cautious. He kept his left hand in his pocket as he got closer but somewhat relaxed. It would surprise him if she attacked him now when she already had plenty of time to kill him. Mut strode close to his master and let out a low growl as they approached.

➣ "Just a scavenger." Casey replied as she lowered her crossbow but Marcilene stepped up beside Casey and watched the other canine returning a growl. The girl kept an eye on the stranger's left hand noting that he still hasn't taken his hand out of his pocket. "Prudent." Casey whispered to her canine companion as she stood there observing the unknown stranger and his dog.

Ross gave a quiet sigh as he swung his right hand in front of Mut which stopped the growl. He then took another puff of his cigar before speaking, "do you know any settlements around here?" He hoped the answer would be yes because if she said no he could be in some serious trouble.

➣ "No but I am looking for a settlement so I can rest and be on my way." Casey replied calmly to the stranger. Marcilene sat down on her haunches, he saddlebags leaned back while the harness on her chest pressed against her black fur. "I am hoping to find somewhere that has food to keep my dog from slowly dying of starvation." she began converting with the stranger and hopefully he would tag along and find a settlement close by. "I have been doing my best to keep my dog fed and myself, I have not eaten all day today and a little bit yesterday." Casey added as she gazed down at the stranger's dog. "A beautiful animal." she thought to herself.

Rose blinked. She didn’t know what she expected him to request, but this one definitely caught her off guard. “Ah... that’s a challenge,” she stated, considering her methods of bringing River back. “Do you want here here out of her own free will? I can arrange for a hostage situation, I think, as long as I get a car.” Rose remained silent for a few moments. “Or I can bring her by force.” She smirked, excited. “It’s up to you.”
