"What happened? W-whats wrong?" she asked as she swung around the door frame. Her eyes were frantic, wide, she had heard the anger in Nicholas's voice, an anger she hadn't heard in a long time. She saw the others and her lips curled into a frown,"Now I know something happened..."

valentina ignored anything else that was said after, seeing as she passed out. one would think that they would be uncomfortable sleeping near a bloodsucker. however, valentina found it kind of relaxing. after all, she had her hunt she had obtained from today's marvelous raid.

valentina woke up a couple of hours later. she didn't really need the regular eight hours a regular human needed, so she was well rested. she rubbed her face as she looked around, forgetting where she was for a moment. she looked down and couldn't help but smile at the sight of her new companion. she let out a happy hum as she climbed over him to get off the bed. "i should probably shower..." she whispered to herself. she grabbed clothes from her drawers and headed to her bathroom in her room. after a few minutes she stepped out of the bathroom, steam escaping from the room. "nothing like a nice shower after a good hunt." she said proudly. unlike her hunter attire, she looked like a normal teen now. she wore some black skinny jeans and a white t-shirt half tugged in, which was a huge contract from her vampire hunting attire. she walked over to the bed as she gently poked mark's cheeks. "I know your awake... " she said as she bothered him some more. "wanna attend school with me?" she said, thinking that it would be pretty entertaining. since she was still eighteen years old, she was currently a senior at luna high school in town. surprising right. at night a killer and during a day a regular teen. "Well you really have no choice since it's either come with me or death." she said with a chilling smirk.

Iris ran back to the house with Nicolas, set on doing her job. She helped Aren spread the word and was one of the first in the study where she stood waiting. Her brother would be ok, he needed sleep anyways and all of this would be too much to take in.

"Well, if its worth anything, I think Nicolas meant to pick you. You obviously care about everyone in this manor." He beamed and looked at Jackson's open arms, surprised. Ezra smiled and wrapped his arms around the vampire, enjoying the embrace that he had lacked all those months. "Sorry, its a habit," Ez said in his ear.
Ezra heard what Aren said and let go, looking at Jackson with worried eyes. "You should go, they need you." He smiled sadly.

He walked beside Ambrosia and spoke quietly. "One of us has been taken. Although i can't pin point who as of now." He said quietly and walked into the study looking at Nicholas and the rest of the vampires. Studying their faces, Waiting for those to come still. He was counting those who were here. "Mark is missing" he mumbled quietly to himself. That kid was always so quiet and away from everyone else. No wonder it was easy to be taken. He glanced back to Nicholas, he understood all the anger. One his own was taken, who wouldn't get pissed.

Jackson stayed with saddened eyes but pulled himself with a smile after the comforting embrace. He released himself from the embrace whispering a thank you in Ezra's ears before he left to the study room. Curious what had been happening. In just a few quick seconds he flashed his way out and walked into the study seeing everyone with worried expressions and Nicholas was anger covering his face. A scary sight.

After hours of staying awake, he suddenly felt movement on the bed. He stayed still feeling the pressure of her climbing over him. Hearing her foot steps against the floor. Hearing her words he refused to get up. Suddenly the feeling of being poked hit him. He was in complete disbelief, a hunter still went to school.. how was that possible. He couldn't help but open his eyes, she looked much different without those other clothes. She looked like a normal human being, not a killer at night. "School?.. your joking right?... You realize the danger your putting human beings into right? What if i can't control my needs?" He said sitting up and looking at her. Shivers were sent down his spine when she smirked. "Plus, I can't go.. i don't have any clothes other than these, nor have i showered." He said trying to pull excuses, not having to go to school over years on end. Now he was forced to? Nonetheless with an enemy of his kind.

"please, if you were the type to hurt a human, I would have killed you back in the manor." valentina said as she moved her hand away from him and rested them on the bed. if there was anything she had learned about mark, it was he was too kind for a vampire. though, if were talking about his vampire instead he would kill if needed so. "didn't you drink your fill yesterday on blood. you can drink some more before you go." she said as she looked down at the floor. she hummed softly as she was deep in thought. how long had it been that she could have a decent conversation with someone? usually, everyone was afraid to even speak to her, well only in the institute. outside everyone just thought she was a normal high school kid. "what are you talking about? i already bathed you last night, i'm confident that you're clean." she said, turning her head to look at him as he sat up. "If it's clothes don't worry about it, i'll just steal some from Al. you seem to be the same size as him." she said and stood up from her bed. "as my companion, you shall get up, because being in a bed all day is totally not healthy for someone. plus don't you think it would be fun going to school? after all, how many years has it been since you have attended one? she said as she began to take away the blanket to uncover him.

"I suppose.." he said quietly, admitting it to himself. He was to kind, even towards enemies, but if he was faced with a different hunter he knew he wouldnt be alive either. So she must have a heart in there somewhere. "Yea but- what if i got hungry in the middle of the day?" He said looking at her. Hearing her words on what she spoke he was left shocked, and violated. He brought his arms across his chest. "You did what???" He clenched his teeth looking at her. "Clothes?? At this point im not worried about that, you violator" he growled softly. "Vampires lay around all day. I think id be fine." He said glancing over to her. "Exactly, Ive never liked school, school isnt fun. Nonetheless why do i have to go with someone i dont even know the name of??" He said narrowing his eyes. He tried keeping the blanket over him, but failed to do such. His blue eyes focused on her blue ones.

She glanced at Jackson and Aren with a small sigh. "We'll find him, don't worry, I have a pretty good idea who snatched him..." She muttered holding her head in her hand, this was a lot to take in, A LOT. And all at once. She rubbed her temples.

"I thought vampires could survive months with just the amount of blood from one blood bag. I guess that's a myth then." valentina said, surprised since basically, every hunter believes in those fables, though they must be based on some truth. "...or are you a glutton for blood." she said as she kept pulling on the blanket. though, nothing would prepare her for what happened next. she couldn't help but crack a smile as he covered his body at the realization she had bathed him. she raised her hand to cover her mouth as she let out a genuine laugh, a soft tone that matched her young appearance. "what was i suppose to do? you were covered in blood and stunk. my maids were too scared to even get near you so i had to do it myself" she said as she tried to justify her actions. "i bet the myth where you guys don't like sunlight come from you guys being lazy." she muttered as she tried to convince him to get out of bed. finally, she removed the blanket from him and set it on the floor. she was panting loudly at what an intense tug of war it had been. her eyes settled on his for the first time as he brought up the topic of introductions. "I mean, i didn't think my name would be important since you would probably refer to me as a hunter." she said, since he did shoot him in the face. she let out a small sigh and brushed strands of blonde hairs from her face. "I guess i'll introduce myself.... my name is valentina drov and i'm currently eighteen years old. i'm also currently the strongest vampire hunter, so that's why everyone respects, well is afraid of me. though i'm sure a few years from now someone younger than me will take my place. most likely from my death. also, besides hunting, i really enjoy carnivals. there's nothing like getting on rides." she said with a soft smile. "now it's your turn to introduce yourself."

"They might, although are cravings get stronger if we wait for so long.. would it make sense for a human to go without food for so long without thinking about it?" He said furrowing his eyebrows. He shrugged and kept a straight face. "I havent been eating- or well drinking for a few weeks." He said with a shrug putting his hair back. "Id rather wake up covered in blood than be violated while being half dead." He said with an unintentional pout. He looked at her panting, surprised she was wasting so much energy from just pulling on a blanket. "Your calling us lazy, yet your panting over a tug of war on a blanket." He said shaking his head slowly. He finally sat on the edge of the bed looking at her. "What else am i going to call you when i dont have a name for you. Unless you wanted for me to call you violator." He said looking away. He still couldnt pass the thought through his head. He listened to her introductions, she was a complete opposite from him. He cleared his throat and looked back at her. "I go by Mark Walker, Im rather old for my age.. the four digits start with 23" he said taking out his hands making a two with one hand and the other a three. "Im obviously not the strongest in the household. Considering our leader... Im pretty kind compared to others and mostly shy.." he said mentioning the last part quietly. "I hate carnivals, clowns are the worse as well as heights.." He said shyly a tint of pink covering his face as he continued. "And i dislike being yelled at.." he said quietly under his breath. "And thats all there is to me." He said facing back up to her.

Ambrosia paled at the sight of all of the vampires in the room. Instinctively she moved closer to Aren and grabbed his hand tightly in her own smaller one. It would be clear to any of the vampires that she was not comfortable at all and this was not something she liked to do. "Do you think they will get anyone else?" she whimpered, a trembled in her voice.
