➢ Zion gave him a tiny knowing smirk, and moved on with the subject. “No no, I’m fine,” she replied with a chuckle, adding, “I’m a tough cookie, don’t worry.” Sitting up as Basil readjusted himself, the girl lifted her arms over her head slightly, carefully pulling together all of her long, light-coloured hair before she carefully began to thread it into a braid. She half-smiled back at him at his comment about green, and continued to listen. “Lavender is a pretty colour.” She replied with a smile. “Not very common, especially for guys, it definitely a good choice.”
She chuckled lightly, still feeling the warmth of the summer sun radiating off her skin from the entire day, and knowing exactly what he meant. Her warm summer glow probably ended up his grandest reddening aggravation. Zion nodded slightly in acknowledgement of his answer and reasoning, but she tilted her head slightly, finishing her braid and tying it at the end while looking at him a bit quizzically. “You don’t sound like you’re sure of your answers,” She commented lightly, with a hint of a question.
Smiling mischievously, she rocked back a little bit in thought. “Favourite season… I haven’t got one. I love the warmth of the summer and the fact that I can go swimming, plus the rains. The summer rains are amazing. I love the winter for the snow and how beautiful, quiet and still everything gets.” She chuckled lightly, adding, “And I like summer because of the colour,” she gestured at him, agreeing with his prior statements, “and because it has the most neutral temperatures, so I get to wear a dress, a pair of jeans or my favourite leather jacket.” She grinned at him slightly, playfully embarrassed at part of the reasoning for why she’d liked the season. Continuing on, she stated, “Red is kind of my trademark colour—I love red, black and white together, you can just never go wrong with that—but I’m going through a green phase right now, actually.” She laughed slightly. “Bright summer greens are amazing, aren’t they?”
She focused on him briefly, staring back at him momentarily as she thought about his new question. “For… the wolf palate, I’m not sure. I’ve only caught a few things and I don’t have a full spectrum of available flavour. For human food, however…” She grinned mischievously. “I like spicy food, but not all the time. I love thai food, I love sushi, I love pita, I love pho…” She laughed at herself a bit here, and continued. “I really like all sorts of food, particularly from different cultures, but those are my main ones.” Jokingly pleading, she added, “Please don’t make me choose a specific dish.” Chucking slightly, she readjusted her crossed legs. “You?” She paused briefly, thinking up new questions. “Do you like having a sister? What’s it like?” She paused again briefly, then added, “Are you a morning person or a night person?” The girl looked at him expectantly.
