A small shift of his attention over to the students Amelia gestured to and Kai nodded, "A better plan than any." And with that, set off, his new 'friend' in tow.
Once they'd gotten into a relaxed rhythm, following the main herd of students, did he relate back to her earlier question. A sigh falling from his lips with a slight pout, "Uh, right. Kiwi. Um... not too sure how it started, actually, if I'm honest. I think it was probably my brother." A shrug. "I introduced him to kiwi's when we went shopping once without mum and dad and he just, really liked them? And I guess associated me with them? Started saying 'Kiwi Kiwi' everytime he saw me and it just kind of became a running joke in the family that my friends picked up on." His smile turned soft, "It never really left." In all honesty, it was possibly the only constant from his younger years unto the present. Certainly held a lot of embarrassing moments but regardless, slotted perfectly in tune with his being. And thus, he was stuck.
But, the hustle of students they were following began twisting and turning the streets, Kai feeling his anxiety pick up at the lack of distractions and familiar surroundings, so if he inched slightly closer to Amelia he hoped she wouldn't mention.
