I had arrived at the school grounds early, just to check out the forest, like I tended to do every morning. I knew from last year that it was a place I'd be spending most of my time again, so i wanted to see if it had changed at all. I had spent a solid ten minutes floating about the forest picking flowers and weaving them into a flower crown. As much as I hated standing out and drawing attention to myself, I made an exception with flower crowns. After I had finished my small diadem of flowers, I heading toward the school, slinging my satchel over head and across my chest. I walked toward the main entrance trying to sneak around the main crowd of people. I was never one for crowds. I decided to check on my dorm just for a bit of grounding before i faced the school day.

A few moments passed as Riza let her eyes wander over the school and its grounds before she adjusted the strap of her backpack over her shoulder and began to walk up towards the large entrance. She looked down at her schedule once, figuring she'd visit her room and drop her stuff off before she explored the building a bit. Her roommate was someone named Alex- the name didn't ring a bell at all. The alien let her feet carry her up into the building, where she dodged students until she made her way into the corridor that led to the individual rooms. Ah, there it was. Room 10. She entered, noticing how nice it was- comfortable, if not a little generic. She was sure they had a say in decorating. She dropped her bag down on one of the beds and sighed, stretching her arms behind her and looking around. If she could just keep her head down and avoid conflicts, she could get through the year with no problems. She was intelligent, so she didn't think the classes would be a problem.

"Alright then Jay, nice to meet you." He responded, "and you can call me Lee." Lesley looked across the hall before slipping around the corner, he looked back at his new acquaintance for a few seconds. "I'm going to find a quieter place, I'm sure the meeting won't be more than another 5 minutes. Besides, I've got a headache. You can come with if you want, we'll find your room by process of elimination." He chuckled and started walking towards the first room. Maybe we can have some fun along the way, he took a big step across a tile in the floor that was visibly darker than the others. "Have you heard about the curse of the dark floor tile?" He asked her, squatting down to get a closer look at it. "Rumors say that if you step on it you disrespect the ghost of a girl that died here and she'll haunt you forever!" Smirking, he narrowed his eyes, hovering his hand over the tile, "It's only rumors, a simple explanation may be that the janitor mops every other tile except this one, but I wouldn't want to risk it if I were you." Anyone that believed the rumor and took a big step across the tile looked rather ridiculous.

As Echo walked towards everyone, she heard something. “HENRY! YOU SCARED ME!” She said, turning around to face the clear-ish human. A ghost. One of her father’s workers. “Your father sent me, Echo. To tell me your mother’s been... Taken care of.” The being said. “Thank him for me, Henry. Are you going to follow me all day?” She asked. “Hades’ orders, m’am.” “Fine.” Echo crossed her arms. “And please don’t say his name as loud. I don’t want to be bullied. This is a new year. No names like ‘deathgirl’ for me.”

I walked through the school keeping my head down in crowded areas and talking my time to look round in the more empty hallways. I looked down to check my schedule. Room 10...Riza.. I thought to myself reading the paper as I turned down toward the dorms and headed to room 10. I stopped as I say the door was already open. Good first impression come on Alex you got this.
"Hi! I'm Alex." I said and stepped into the room.

She smiled lightly as he spoke, and stood up from her leaning position as he offered to leave and she could come. Lee was right; this initiation was definitely boring. Jay chuckled aling with him as he did and wlaked after him until he stepped over a particularly darker tile on the floor near the first room. At his question she tipped her head and frowned thoughtfully. "Uh...don't think so?" She shrugged. Jay listened to his explanation then scoffed in a playful matter at his smirk. "Sure? Well then again, this is a supernatural school," she smirked herself then went next to him to stare at it. "What, do you dare me to?" said Jay casually, humming lightly.

Anarchy was walking back into the school when he saw a pale girl. His first thought was she might be a vampire, but he doubted that. Archie trotted over casually nonetheless and stopped a bit behind the girl, putting on the kind smile he was so good at. "Hey! Are you new here?" He asked calmly, tipping his head. "I'm Anarchy; I'm a cook here." The girl seemed very nervous and reluctant to enter the immense building. That wasn't good, the academy was an extremely safe place for anybody. Maybe she was new. Archie waited her response patiently, a thing he was rather adept at.

Lesley raised his eyebrow, amused at her response, that's one he's never gotten before. He stood up and dusted himself off, digging in his pockets to find his room key. They were right beside his room so he figured he'd drop his backpack off and keep going to find her room. He unlocked the door and before he could check if anyone's in there he chucked his bag in and shut it. "Well, that's my room." He said, and after hearing her say something about the academy being a supernatural school he mentally slapped his palm on his forehead. "You're right. Well, go ahead then, step all over it, I'm sure nothing too horrible will happen." He stepped back to allow her to do her thing, watching intently.

"Yeah, looks like it." Eli answered, in his typical aloof drawl. He recognized Colin immediately; like many, Eli had a tendency to be more relaxed around others of his own kind. "This crowd gets bigger every year." He remarked; admittedly, this was his least favorite part of receiving new students. He preferred to meet them one-on-one instead of in the midst of all this clamor and mostly pointless formality. "But on the bright side, they're at least safe here."

She'd been almost expecting someone to trip over her legs for as long as she'd been sitting there - but, of course, when it actually happened, she wasn't ready for it at all. Andi was startled for a moment, and her hands jerked and dropped her phone, which clattered to the floor with its glittery case sparkling beneath the overhead lights. She scrambled to grab it with a discontented grunt, but as she did so she happened to catch a glimpse of who had tripped over her. It wasn't just some clumsy freshman with a dumb look on their face; it was actually a teacher, someone older and with more authority than her. "Oh, uhh, no - I'm sorry..." Andi stammered, a bit uncertain of what to say, despite the fact that the other had already uttered an apology. "I was in the way. Are you okay?" She regained a bit of her usual aloof confidence as she continued, but unfortunately not much of it.

Koa Anders

Suddenly, a rather upbeat voice interrupted Koa's spiraling train of thought, almost startling the already agitated ghoul. Her pale eyes flickered back and forth as she quietly analyzed Archie for a moment; she was idly listening to him introduce himself, but could've roughly inferred what he said even without having paid attention. He had a kind-looking face, but such things were mostly lost on Koa - though she reminded herself that she needed to get used to interacting with others like this. "Yah..." She answered him at last, swaying slightly and adjusting her backpack strap again. "'m new here. Ain't used to places like this." She continued. She could smell something not-quite-human about him, which wasn't unexpected, but strangely made Koa's senses recoil somewhat. That was probably for the better, however, as Koa was still skeptical about how well she'd be able to control her more savage side. "Nice t'meetcha." Koa declared somewhat suddenly, after realizing she'd been awkwardly silent for a few moments. "My name's Koa."

Collin nodded. It was true. The outside world was an extremely dangerous place, especially to the kids. Willowtree provides a sense of security not many other places had. Collin scooted closer to Elias and, lowering his voice, said: “So, do you think there’ll be any additions to the pack?” He said so jokingly. It was a long running gag between the two. He chuckled lightly, but still looked to Elias for his answer.

Eric threw open his room door, pulling on his shoes as he stumbled out the door. He couldn’t be late. Not today. He rushed down the hallway, avoiding tables and other bodies, eventually reaching the end of the building. He pushed through the opening and ran outside, he saw the horde of students walking by and quickly walked over to them, acting as if he was there all along. The students paused to catch his breath before swallowing and straightening himself up, drawing his hands through his hair and smoothing out the wrinkles in his shirt. Eric looked around, scanning the crowd for familiar faces. He shrugged. He had been through this before. He had planned on skipping this snoozefest but Colin would have his skin if he found out. Huffing, he threw on a smile and entered the hall, sitting in the seat he always did, awaiting the meeting to start.

"O-oh it's fine," Reese said, brushing dust off her coat and fixing her glasses back on her face. Normally, she didn't need them, but for some reason shrinking made her farsighted. Maybe it was because her eyes were used to seeing far-off things. Once the world within ten feet wasn't quite so blurry, the teacher got a good look at who'd tripped her. "Wait, aren't you a student here?" She asked. She couldn't remember a name, but she knew she'd seen pink hair before. "Shouldn't you be at initiation?"
