    . joya "jay" everett .
      .. demigirl . sixteen . telekinetic . dorm 5/student . entry hall . lesley ..
Jay stared at him a tad curiously at the boys behavior. She wouldn't describe him as shy, but pleasant she guessed. At his quick apology, she allowed a small twinge of a soft smile go onto her lips. At least he had the decency to say sorry; some people in this place didn't know what manners were. Joya allowed the smile to stretch a little wider when he leaned against the wall beside her and introduced himself as Lesley while giving her an awkward smile that resembled some reassurance. "Ah, I'm Joya," she said then glanced over to the crowd of people, "but call me Jay." Her voice was quiet as she spoke and noticed his impatient sigh. "Initiation is kind of fast depending on what they talk about. But same here, I just want to sleep." said Jay, letting out a small chuckle. "I already lost my schedule and stuff though when I walked in so...I kinda have to be here." She gave a disconcerning shrug.

    . anarchy "archie" johnson .
      .. male .. twenty-four . bear shifter . dorm 9/cook . outside . koa
Anarchy was walking back into the school when he saw a pale girl. His first thought was she might be a vampire, but he doubted that. Archie trotted over casually nonetheless and stopped a bit behind the girl, putting on the kind smile he was so good at. "Hey! Are you new here?" He asked calmly, tipping his head. "I'm Anarchy; I'm a cook here." The girl seemed very nervous and reluctant to enter the immense building. That wasn't good, the academy was an extremely safe place for anybody. Maybe she was new. Archie waited her response patiently, a thing he was rather adept at.

      Luke Santago
      ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
      [ 17 years ] [ vampire ] [crush: n/a] [ location: welcoming assembly ] [ feeling: bored ] [ tags: Open ]
Luke’s shoulder muscles groaned as he finally heaved the surprisingly heavy mini-fridge into position next to his bed. Turning to the cardboard box on his bed, he started unpacking the contents into the fridge. Anyone who didn’t know what he was would be alarmed-and they should be. A teenage boy packing bottles of blood into a mini fridge was certainly not something you’d normally see every day. When he was finished, he stood back up, closing the door with a lazy flick of his wrist. His room was now ready, and now he had to go down to the welcoming assembly. Oh joy, people. Luke hated interacting with others. He wasn’t shy, no, he just preferred his own company over that of others. With a grimace, he opened the door and headed down to the assembly. Just before the doors, he made sure that no one was around and promptly shifted into his bat form. He hung around the ceiling until someone went through the door and swept through, too fast for anyone to see anything but a small black streak. Swooping up the the ceiling, he settled down and got ready to listen to whatever they had to say. He just wanted to get back to his room and listen to his music. Draw something, maybe. It didn’t matter, really. Just as long as it was away from people.

❁|Quenna " Queenie " Rose
17 | Bi | Faun | Location: Entry Hall, On way to assembly | Tags: open

The light clicking sound of hooves against pavement erupted from Queenie as she made her way to the entrance of the school. Frankly, Queenie had no idea if she was doing this " school " thing right. She'd never stray farther than the familiarity of her forest and the rest of her kind. Faun's had school as well, but not ones nearly as expensive looking as this one. She recalled her first reaction to the place when she first saw it. " Places as pretty as this really exist? I thought they only existed in books! Hey, mom? Are you listening? " was what she said. A small grin forms upon her lips as she adjusts her backpack, looking down at her schedule within her hand. Apparently there was supposed to be some sort of assembly today? Queenie found that sweet. As she made her way into the school, she really got a good look at the students there. Some exceptionally tall, others incredibly short. Some looked normal while others took the latter form. She figured she was no different, with clacking hooves and all. Too stunned by all of the strange new sights, the faun took her time looking at everything.

... Except where she was going.

Queenie felt herself skip a step and fall right into another figure. Letting out an embarrassing goat-like bleat, the faun fell back,
landing with a light thud and a slight click! as her hooves hit the floor.

Gabriel looked at his watch. Good, it haven't started yet, he thought. He slowly started making his way into the hall with a light, silent and elegant steps of a shadowhunter. He couldn't wait for the speeches to finally begin. They were quite amusing especially since some of the teachers usually forgot what to say or didn't even knew what to say to begin with. He never really had a problem with that. He looked around the hallway and noticed students walking and talking. This year many students joined. He couldn't recognise many of the faces. As he walked towards the hall, he could hear many students greeting him. He just nodded towards them in response.

"Oh" He said opening his mouth and then quickly closed it adding "Nice to meet cha!" He said with a light smile. The other boy didn't appear to be very happy to have a roommate. He honestly wasn't surprised, he guessed living in a dorm alone is more... comfortable? " Umm.... are u perhaps going to the hall? "He asked the boy. He honestly didn't want to go by himself. "Cuz you know..." He started mumbling but then stopped" Never mind" He said with a small laugh escaping his lips.

He then took something out of his bag and shoved it in his pockets. His cards. He started to clean them, they were his most precious possession as an exorcist and a normal person. A few cards given from different family members. He truly treasured them, but now he had a more important thought. Who IS his roommate. He didn't meet many other beings. He was very close to other exorcists and a few vampires. But that was really it.

lyndon wellbelove / male / seventeen / witch / tags; jay

lyndon hummed idly in response. jay seemed.. nice, for lack of a better word. chipper, but not to the extent where lyndon found the trait annoying. all in all, this guy already had a leg up over his roommates of the last two years. "for initiation?" he asked after a moment, considering his answer. "naw, it's really skippable. there's nothing you learn there can't be learned from someone else." when jay turned away from him to pick through his bag, lyndon took the moment to study him. he didn't have any noticeable non-human features, but that didn't mean much. glamours were really popular nowadays, not to mention there were a variety of ways something to be concealed. he wondered if it would be rude to ask jay straight out. ' hey man, what are you? ' ...yeah, maybe that wasn't the best approach. even for lyndon, that was a bit too blunt.

after getting up from his own bed, lyndon decided to organize the contents of his knapsack. he had only been able to pack a couple of personal things that morning before leaving, so there wasn't too many things in the bag. the rest of his belongings, his clothes, books, and other materials should be arriving soon, within a day or so. he put up a couple of pictures of his parents and friends on the desk on his side of the room, and unrolled a poster depicting the flash, one of his favourite superheroes. he'd have to sticky it to the wall later, as he had forgotten thumbtacks. lyndon turned around in time to catch sight of jay pocketing a deck of what lyndon thought were cards, though he wasn't sure. from his brief glimpse, they hadn't looked like normal cards, but he didn't think it was a tarot deck like his own. "so, this is your first year?" lyndon asked, attempting to make conversation before the atmosphere in the room turned awkward. it was always bound to be awkward the first couple of weeks. two strangers attempting to navigate the room and figure each other out.

" Oh I see," he mumbled and then added slowly" I guess I will skip it then as well." He giggled slightly and then looked at the other boy. He noticed the brunet unpacking his things. He noticed that the boy was putting his stuff on the desk. He was really tempted to take a peek, just a little one at the photographs and ask the other about the people on those pictures.

"Yeah I am, is it easy to notice?" He asked cocking his head to the side, " Last year I used to go to normal school, but stuff happened and my parent decided to move me here" He said scratching the back of his head, small laugh escaping his mouth. " How about you?" He asked out of sheer curiosity. It seemed as if the other was here longer but decided not to assume stuff. He took his cards out and carefully chose the 'sight' card. Hoping the boy wouldn't notice. His eyes turned slightly red and barely visible sparkles were emitted from his fingertips. He threw the card on the brunet's desk and closed his eyes. He could barely see anything from the card due to it's position. "Dammit" he mumbled to himself. The picture was barely visible from his point of view. He decided to play it cool in order to get his card back. "Have you perhaps seen a card?" he asked "It has a golden eye on it, pretty easy to notice" He added, hoping the other won't question how the card got where it is.

This was the huge minus in his ability. He couldn't summon his cards or anything like that. So if one card is lost the only way he can find it is to use the card's ability.

lyndon wellbelove / male / seventeen / witch / tags; jay

oh oops. as an senior student wasn't he supposed to encourage the newbies to attend initiation? oh well, it wasn't like what lyndon had said wasn't true. if jay had any questions, lyndon was more than capable of answering them. or so lyndon hoped. his two years had to count for something, right? he noticed jay's gaze straying to the pictures he had set up on the desk and arched an eyebrow. if jay wanted to ask a question, he should just go for it. unless it was super invasive, lyndon didn't really have anything to hide. not that he was an open book, but questions about his mum and brothers were pretty innocuous. "it's my third year," lyndon answered, turning back to his bag. he'd brought his most prominent crystal with him, an uncharged quartz that his mother had given him three years ago. this he set on the windowsill, where the light of the moon could catch it perfectly.

lyndon turned back to his bag, only to stiffen when what felt like sparks danced across his skin. it was a feeling he knew well, having been surrounding by sigils, magical artifacts, and many different forms of the craft since his youth. magic. or well, magic-like. he side-eyed jay without turning his head, picking up on the reddening of his irises and the slight sparkle emitting from his fingertips. it seemed like jay had flicked something towards lyndon's own desk, but at his current angle, lyndon couldn't quite tell what it was. what he did know, however, was that it appeared jay was messing with his stuff. accusations tipped his tongue, but by the time lyndon had opened his mouth to let them fly, jay had already asked a question. "what?" he asked instead, the word sharp and acidic.

remembering the blurred object that he had thought jay had thrown to his desk, lyndon made his way over. in hindsight, the card was incredibly obvious and, as lyndon studied it, a bit familiar. an exorcist's card. before today, lyndon hadn't met many exorcists in person. his mother had worked with exorcists in the past though, hiring them on occasion when the coven was in need. during those times, lyndon had been given the chance to study their decks, objects he had presumed to be magical artifacts infused with strange powers. he recognized the symbol too. the all-seeing eye of sight. as a witch, lyndon could probably charge an object in similar ways, though it would likely be less powerful unless he took time to map out a ritual. leaning over, lyndon picked the card up and tossed it jay's way. if his throw was a little wild because he was irritated and just a little bit hurt, then so be it. "dude," he stated flatly. "if you wanted to learn more about me, just ask. don't spy on me."

"Oh" He mumbled under his breath. He then noticed the crystal. It was breath taking.

Jay noticed that Lyndon was probably really mad at him. He then barely caught the card and then hugged it to his face mumbling under his breath: "I'm sorry honey, I will never throw you again." He said that with a lot of care evident in his tone. This was the second most important card he had. The first was the Joker, one of the rarest cards that was passed through his family. There were only five of those cards. Sight was also very rare but was not as powerful. He put the card back in his pocket and then he noticed the other boy speak.

"I'm so so sorry, it's a bad habit of mine." he said looking at the floor, but quickly he looked up. "But I wasn't spying." He said scratching the back of his neck, grinning like a child. He admitted to himself that he did wrong. He should've asked. But why didn't he? " I'm not really used to asking questions" He said in barely audible voice. Since he was small, his parent decided to train him. It wasn't anything bad, mostly focusing on his senses and common sense. He was not allowed to ask personal questions. If he wanted something he had to find it his own way. Just like he will have to in the future when he becomes an official exorcist.

"It's not really like I wanted to know anything particular anyway..." He added under his breath. He stood up and then bowed dramatically and asked in the most serious tone: "What can I do for you to forgive me monsieur?" after that Jay dropped onto his bed while trying not to laugh at how stupid he sounded.

lyndon scowled, before folding his arms over his chest. this feeling of being genuinely irritated wasn't something that came naturally to him. he was a background character, someone who just went along with the flow. but five minutes in and his new roommate was trying to snoop on him? that was a bit ridiculous. "it's a bit rude." lyndon retorted softly, "and calling it a bad habit doesn't excuse it. it's just, some people probably wouldn't take you snooping as kindly as i am.." was he taking it kindly? lyndon wasn't actually quite sure on that front. he was never truly angry for long. perhaps a more accurate description of the feelings welling inside him would be 'hurt'. lyndon finally had thought he'd score a nice roommate in the lottery, but then the guy had to go and fracture his trust literally within the first ten minutes of meeting him.

"listen, i think i'm going to take a walk." lyndon said after a moment's pause. he wasn't quite sure what to make of jay suddenly being goofy, especially while lyndon was still kinda chastising him. "i think i'm going to go to initiation after all..." looking over to the knapsack still lying on his bed, lyndon studied the leather bag for a couple of seconds, before reaching down to swing the strap over his shoulder. "uh, see you around." he muttered, giving jay a half-hearted wave before starting for the door.

His nervous smile dropped" Yeah you're right it doesn't. I'm sorry." He mumbled not looking at the boy. "I'm so so sorry" He muttered under his breath. He didn't know why but he really regretted it. A boy who rarely feels regret. He also felt guilty building inside him. " I'm sorry" He said scared to even meet Lyndon's eyes.

"Umm.. yeah, see you around I suppose" He said with a half smile. He noticed as the boy was getting closer to door. But he did nothing. He could've stopped him and so something, anything . But he didn't. He just stayed on his bed playing with his cards.

(Sorry for the short post, I can't post anything longer right now)
