"Hm?' Skyler turned her head to see the vampire looking at her. She brushed her long, black hair away from her blue eyes, so she could see more clearly. Her hands folded in her lap. She tilted her head, in slight question and obedience, expecting the vampire to want something of her. "Sir?" She spoke, her voice as soft and quiet as it always was, and without attitude.

Elizabeth heard Ms. Jin say something and turned around. What she saw made her release Mr. Rinehart and start gagging, trying to shut out the sight. Ms. Jin's shirt was covered with blood, her stomach had clearly been stabbed, and she looked like a mess overall. Then, there was the man in her arms who looked unconscious and bloody, likely from Ms/ Jin's blood. All of this combined for a horrifying picture and Elizabeth hated blood. Hated blood beyond belief. How could anyone be standing after such a wound, let alone survive?

"I want to throw up," she murmured in a high-pitched squeak. "I hate blood!"

Kelly pressed his lips together and let his eyes wonder away, he wanted to correct her since he didn't say that he was only a child, he said that he was an only child meaning he didn't have any siblings. He stayed quiet for a moment, but when she left he wasn't sure what to do.
He thought for a moment, there wasn't much else to do here, but he also didn't want to follow her around like a lost puppy. He concluded that she was heading in the direction of where his home was anyway, so he scurried after her. She had disappeared around the corner during his self conflicting debate. He had to walk around for a moment, but he finally seen her sitting on a bench. "Skyler, hey I-" He started, but his sentence was cut short when he noticed her posture then a Vampire standing not too far away. He froze, his legs wouldn't move even if he wanted them to. This wasn't good, not at all, zero good would come out of this situation. Vampires rarely came to The Slums, they usually tried to avoid the place when possible. The one standing before them was finely dressed, so the alarm that had gone off in his head started getting louder. The green haired teen averted his eyes to the ground, he started to chew on his lip nervously.

Zyon raised an eyebrow at the girl's response. "I merely said hello. You have no need to fear me, I'm not here to harm you. I was wondering if perhaps you would be willing to aid us in an.. endeavor of sorts." He explained, keeping his posture relaxed. Zyon glanced up as another human approached. He eyed the newcomer carefully. HIs panic and fear were obvious. "If you're going to panic, could you refrain from passing out? I really don't feel like dealing with that kind of commotion." He stated, teasing. In reality, if the boy panicked, worse things may arrive out of curiosity.

Skyler's pale blue eyes moved away from the vampire and she turned her head towards a familiar voice. Kelly. He had begun to speak and she was ready to listen, but he stopped as his eyes moved to the vampire. She looked at him worriedly, but with an expression that spoke without words. It was her way of telling him to keep quiet and remain calm.
Her attention then turned back to the vampire. She tilted her head once more as he assured her she had no reason to be afraid. However, Skyler had never really been afraid of vampires, nor death. Not even pain, as it was so common to her it numbed her. No. She wasn't scared of that. It was the darkness she was left in afterwards that scared her. Being alone in the silence.
Despite her will to tell him she was fearful, she remained quiet and listened to the rest of his message.
Skyler nodded silently, and stood to her feet, facing him. "Aid you in an endeavor." She repeated to herself. "As a citizen to Sangieum, I am in obedience to Her Majesty, whether I'd like to be or not. Whatever the task at hand is, my answer is yes. I will aid you." Her voice remained calm and gentle, and held a form of respect. She often found disrespect to get her a lot of trouble. She then turned her head towards Kelly, realizing it could be a chance for the two of them to leave the city. "May my companion come as well?"

Kelly's gave turned bright red at the Vampire's comment, did he really look like he was going to pass out? Honestly, that chance wasn't completely off the table. He could feel his heartbeat skyrocket when Skyler asked if he could come and help with some kind of situation, he didn't feel like he missed much since she sounded like she didn't know what he was talking about either. His eyes flicked up to Skyler, she clearly wasn't as much of a nervous wreck as he was. His eyes went back to the ground, if they wanted him to go then he would, it's not like there was much of a choice in the matter.

Zyon felt a stab of pity for the two humans. "Forced obedience is not what I'm seeking. This must be your choice. You can say no. If you do not want to help, you will be free to walk away. Make this choice carefully, and choose only for yourselves. Not out of fear, or out of a need to obey." He stated calmly, looking at each in turn. "If you chose to aid us, it will be a difficult and dangerous mission. However, you would leave this city, and go beyond the borders of the land that we vampires hold. It is a once in a lifetime chance, and if you choose to go, I will aid you in any way I can." Zyon stated. He wanted them to make this choice of their own free will, as well as know just what they would be getting themselves into. This mission would be dangerous. If they were discovered. They would lose their lives most likely.

"I apologize if I lead you to believe I was fearful. I assure, I don't obey because I have to or because I fear what would happen if I didn't. I used to, but not any more." Skyler's eyes turned from the gentle dullness they always held, to piercing and fierce. This wasn't something she was doing out of fear. "I suppose you could say I have a sense of natural obedience. It's simply my nature." She glanced at Kelly, hoping he would just stay calm and quiet. Once the words "outside the city" were spoken, her eyes widened slightly. They looked at Kelly in a manor of stating a fact. 'This is our chance.' she managed to say with her eyes. She looked back to Zyon and stood slowly to her feet. "I'm not sure if you realize this, but it's dangerous for us to be here. So leaving on a 'dangerous' journey isn't going to effect me much." She responded. "And death would only be a gift. A way out of this cruel world." Her eyes turned dull once more as she looked at Kelly, already knowing he would want to go if it meant leaving the city. She looked back to Zyon and nodded. "We'll do it."

((Sorry, I re-read my last post and realized that it said "Despite her will to tell him she was fearful-" I meant to say wasn't fearful. That may have lead you on to think she was scared. XD My bad. But in all truth Skyler's history has basically killed her emotions, giving her a dull, serious, and fearless personality.))

Zyon merely raised an eyebrow. This girl spoke of obedience yet her eyes told him she had a fiery streak that even she seemed to be unaware of. Perhaps it had been buried long ago?
"I assure you, when I mean more dangerous than here, I am not exaggerating. Very well. If it truly your wish, than follow me." He stood up and began to walk towards a back exit of the slums. These two humans certainly were interesting, and Zyon was curious to see how the outside world would change them. Regardless they seemed prime candidates for the mission.

(I read her bio so I actually meant Kelly's fear. The forced obedience thing was directed at Skyler though. Because she seems to simply obey, not desire anything for herself.)

Sky's feet felt as though they'd been stuck in concreate until the vampire asked that they follow him. Once her feet began to move, she felt a slight pang of relief. She steadied her walking pace, keeping up with the vampire, but wanting to stay by Kelly's side. The last thing she needed was for him to freak out and get left behind. Walking beside him was her way of comforting him, though it isn't as though she knew much of comforting others. She'd been alone most of her life, and only had faint memories of the ways her mother would comfort her as a child.
A lullaby. Yes, that's what it was.
Her pale blue eyes moved to Kelly and she wondered if singing would ease his nerves. But no. It would be awkward. Any attempt she could make at helping would him, would most likely drive him away. "You okay?" Her voice was quiet so only Kelly could hear her words. "We'll be okay." She assured him in the best way she could, as her feet continued to move.
"Do you believe that this place is dangerous to the point where a vampire as yourself couldn't survive?" Her voice was dull, and questioning. Not in a manner of mocking him, but in the manner of the need to be informed.
