Soren smiled and gave a faint laugh. "Hello," he responded, a bit amused. He hummed softly as he listened to her, seeming to remain peppy. "I understand that- doing the same thing every day is so dreadful." He gave a dramatic huff and shook his head, shrugging slightly. He grinned as she said she'd wait, and nodded. "Me neither! I'll be quick about it," he responded, returning to his lower tone and giving a happy little laugh.
He headed up the stairs and to his own room, combing through his belongings. He decided to pick up his sabre for the day, probably one of the more intricately designed of his swords wise of its hilt and the sheathe it bore, something he helped to draw out the design for and something he adored for it. He clipped the sword to his side, scavenging his room for something else. He got mostly little things, anything he figured might help, including a couple bottles of water that he carried under his arm for the time being. He looked for a while longer, but satiated with what he had before he spent any longer than a couple minutes searching, knowing it wasn't still the dark hours before the sun would rise like it usually would be when he gathered up supplies.
He headed back down stairs, steps silent as could be, wings tucked in close to avoid accidentally bumping anything with them. He happily made his way back to Basil, smiling brightly and holding a water bottle out to her, tucking a bit to the side to be out of the way. "Here! It's important to at least have something to drink- though I don't actually keep snacks in my room or anything..." He gave a small sigh, looking a bit upset with himself. Not that he had a reason to have snacks, so it didn't bother him too much.
