The cool cloth on Juniper's forehead seemed to help. He murmured a small " Thank you", opening his eyes to look at Aurora. Juniper couldn't even begin to tell her how much he appreciated her and Leo's help. They had saved him from the forest fire. But it was to late for Ash... He stared up at the sky, silent tears running down his throat and choking him slightly. But, a familiar voice startled him out of his sorrow. " Ash!" Juniper croaked, sitting bolt upright to see if she was okay. He let out a hiss in pain, his hand going to his side. The ground seemed to sway again, but Juniper remained stubbornly upright.

" What?" Hawthorne was a bit surprised at her question. He had forgotten how well Arkady could read his emotions. He looked over at her, his hazel eyes held a faintly melancholy expression. " No, no It's not you. You didn't do anything wrong" He said, sincerely. Hawthorne sighed, but smiled slightly. " I'm just worried I suppose. And I've suddenly come to realize that I've stopped believing in fairy tales. " He said, though it was a bit of a mystery as to what he actually meant. It was strange how his emotions were so mixed. Hawthorne nudged her slightly, " But enough of my troubles. Here's your room " Hawthorne stopped in front of one of the lavish guest rooms, opening the door for her. " If you need me, I'll be just down the hall or in the training room."

Arkady frowned at him, and had no clue what he meant. "Goodnight Hawthorne, and… thank you." She hesitated before walking into the room and she closed the door behind her. Arkady slipped out of the gown and draped it across the back of chair. She put on a pair of midnight blue loose, silky shorts she found in the drawers of a dresser and a white shirt. Slowly, she walked over to the bed and laid down, to tired to admire the room. As her head hit the pillow, she found herself unable to sleep.

Ash heard Juniper shout her name and she laughed hoarsely before coughing again. She put her hand up to her mouth and it came away with specks of blood. While she did come back alive, it didn't mean she was healed. "Juniper, be careful." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she spoke. She could see stars and everything was out of focus.

" Good night Arkady" Hawthorne said, smiling a bit more " Sleep well." After she closed the door, Hawthorne walked down the hall towards his room. His broad shoulders were slumped slightly. He couldn't seem to get his troubles off of his mind. Not only was he worried about Arkady, it was very late and his siblings still hadn't returned. Hawthorne sighed, walking into his bedroom. Unlike most of the rooms in the palace, his room was fairly simply furnished. He changed into a pair of dark green pajama bottoms and a grey tee shirt. Then, he lay down, but he couldn't seem to fall asleep. Hawthorne aimlessly stared up at the ceiling with his hands behind his head.

Arkady shifted and turned, trying to get comfortable, but sleep did not come. She sighed and rubbed her eyes before sitting up. Her eyes fell upon the door and she swung her legs over the side of the bed and jumped out. Arkady rushed over to it and turned the door-knob to find it still unlocked. Slowly, she opened the door and peered outside. She was tired but couldn't sleep, and figured she could do something in the mean-time. Arkady walked out of the room and closed the door behind her quietly. Nobody ever said I couldn't leave my room, did they? Her footsteps were silent as she made her way down the hall.

" I'm okay" Juniper insisted, hoarsely," Are you okay?". Though, that wasn't exactly true. His wounds from the fire and from breathing in the smoke were severe. Juniper looked as if he were going to pass out again. His face was pale and covered with soot from the smoke. Juniper rested his head back on the ground afraid that he was going to faint. His head spun dizzily, making him feel sick to his stomach. But, his heart felt a lot lighter knowing that Ash was alive. Losing a fellow packmember was heart breaking. Juniper almost couldn't believe that she had survived, but he was thankful that she was okay.

Hawthorne tried to fall asleep, but there was too much on his mind. He sighed as he threw off his blanket and sat up, rubbing his eyes. " This is no use..." The captain muttered to himself. Looking over, he spotted his sword by his bedside. " Maybe a little training will take my mind off of things." Hawthorne said, perking up a bit. He grabbed his sword and padded out of the room, barefooted. Hawthorne walked quietly down the hall and into the training room. Which, essentially was a very large gym and weapon room combined. The room had many different training equipments, including a few different balance beams and a thick rope that hung from the ceiling for climbing. Blades, staffs, even bows and arrows lined the walls and sat lined up in large racks. The training room's floors and walls had removable blue mats on them. Hawthorne looked perfectly at home here. This was undoubtedly his favorite room in the palace. He always came to the training room whenever he was stressed.

Arkady's footsteps were silent as she walked down the hallway. She passed multiple closed doors and one she guessed to be Hawthorne's. Her senses were on alert and her guard was up. She went by a room she could only think to be the training area where she found Hawthorne to be, but Arkady didn't go inside. Instead, she continued walking. She saw the library along the way and had almost stopped to look at all of the books but decided not to. Arkady had been wandering for 30 minutes before coming across a room that peaked her interest. A faint light shined from the crevice under the door and she found it to unlocked. She entered and saw no one in there. Weird. Inside was paintings hung up on the walls, almost like a gallery. It's beautiful...

Oliver | Dining Hall (Palace)

Finding himself alone at the dinner table was rather odd so he made a couple of the staff sit with him, eat chocolate, and keep him company. He liked to discuss how they made the evening meal, actually finding it an interesting topic especially when he'd find out there was veggies thrown into the meal that he disliked. He would then try to guess at what sort of breakfast he would be made in the morning, always allowing the chef to surprise him so he could look forward to waking up every morning. Despite trying to stall for time, no one else had arrived to dinner and he grew grumpy. Of course, the staff cheered him up easily by bringing up his crush or his friends and pried for any new updates in his social life. Being the dramatic kid he was, he told stories of his bravery and recalled tragic tales of his crush so brutally brushing him off. Grinning after his epic tales, he bowed to his staff and grabbed the last chocolate fudge. "I bid thee farewell" he said, then laughed softly when the staff played along and bowed as well though were not as dramatic about it.
Whistling happily, he went made his way to his room but paused in the hall and glanced towards Soren's room. He did still owe his brother a prank.

She slowly nodded and tilted her head to look at Juniper. "I'm f-fine." Ash looked back up at the darkened sky and felt the cool air of the night envelope her. The heat from the fire she had been so used to was now gone and goosebumps rose on her skin. 'We need to get b-back to camp." Ash wondered if the other Howlers were scared about the sudden danger in their woods. She thought of the possible reasons of the fire and couldn't help but think about the humans. Maybe they brought this upon us on accident. I'm sure they didn't mean to. And I doubt it was the Quell. Most are to scared to come aboveground and they wouldn't want to make us angry at them and have a reason to declare war.
