She'd glanced at him when he'd answered her, seeing the quick chance in his demeanor. By now she was used to it and paid it no mind. It was just something that happened now. She stepped into the kitchen, aware of hm following behind her, and reached into the cabinet to obtain a glass before going into the fridge to see what was left. By the bare look of it they would next to take a trip to the store sometime soon as they hadn't brought much with them when they'd move dinto town. Now those small amount of supplies were running low. There seemed to be a little bit of apple juice left though and so the beta happily claimed it for her own. With the bottle in hand, Kathrine closed the refridgerator door and a fluttering piece of paper caught her attention. She reached down to where it had fallen, fishing it out from between the fridge and the counter, finding it to be a piece of construction paper. A crayon drawing covered the page, showing a house and yard with a happy little dog and cat sitting in the windows of the house.

This made the blonde woman frown and the words she heard him grumble only made her frown deepen. This is why they were here, to protect those who were left from these creatures who were tearing these families apart, separating some and completely destroying others. Whatever happened to this family didn't matter. The fact that the pack lived in their home now was enough to say that their happy home was nothing more than memories now. Kathrine looked over and saw one magnet still remaining on the fridge and reached over to replace the drawing upon its surface. "No matter what kind of misery any of the pack might feel, it is nothing compared to what these people have suffered.." SHe stared at the page for a moment more before returning to her glass and pouring the juice into it. She threw away the empty bottle and turned with her back against the counter, leaning on it as she went to take a sip after saying, "That's why we are here after all. We came to protect those who can't protect themselves against them and that is never a mistake."

With a tremendous bang and a blast of cold air, the door to the cabin flew open, Roxy's foot on the other side.
"I am the slide tackle master!" she declared, striding confidently into the living room. "Oh, hey y'all," she said, noticing her kinsfolk still waking up. Strange, that, she'd been up since dawn. Which, given the circumstances, was probably odd in and of itself, but still. Being undead hadn't changed the fact that she was an early bird.
With a satisfied sigh, the fledgling flopped down on the couch, throwing up a cloud of dust. "So, what's new with you two? We gonna smoke us some mutts today?"

In the distance Cora heard the sound of the cabin door being opened rather hard, followed by some cheerful banter. She identified the voice to be Roxy. Cora stood then and leaped to the ground, landing gracefully despite the height. She looked at the sky, thankful that the morning rays were weak, allowing her to make her way to the cabin by sticking to the patches of shade cast down by the canopy. She slid through the door past Roxy, her timing allowing her to catch the fledgling’s last remark. ”As tempting as that is, we have to be smart about it,” she commented. Cora held a deeply rooted hatred of the wolves, and frankly could not wait to tear them apart one by one, but she knew that the mutts had the advantage at the moment.

ᴇʟᴠɪʀᴀ - age: eighteen - role: healer - tagged; Vincent
Elvira lowered her gaze, nodding hesitantly. "Yes, Vincent." She stepped to the side, allowing Vincent to walk through the door. Honestly, using nicknames wasn't her thing and changing her ways wasn't going to be easy. Shuffling to the bathroom Elvira hurried inside and changed out of her nightgown. Like every day, she brushed her hair back, braided it, and pulled out her trusty strawberry chapstick. The winter time was brutal to her lips and like most people, her remedy was lip balm.

Glancing in the mirror, Elvira felt ready to face the world... Sort of. "Wait for me!" She called out, hoping that Vincent wouldn't leave for the hospital without her.

𝑨𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒓 - age: v v old, looks twenty-five - role: original - tagged: Roxy, Cora, Patrick.
"Hello, morning Patty." Patrick came closer commenting about the weather. Alistair nodded, noticing the discomfort. "Yes. Hopefully, these next few months will fly by." Sitting up, Alistair swung his legs off the couch and leaned forward. Even from so far away he could tell Roxy was going to be bursting in any minute from now. Hurried footsteps and... There she was. The door flung open as Roxy strode in, presumably having taken another poor soul by surprise. Cora slid in after her. He wondered where his sister was, but he didn't bother to look. She'd show up soon enough.

Roxy flopped down beside him, asking about 'smoking up some mutts'. Cora quickly interjected, saying exactly what was on his mind. "Like Cora said, we have to be careful." He took a deep breath adding in, "Or not. You could go out there and kill one and find five others willing to rip you to shreds." Shrugging, Alistair faced Roxy with his usual deadpan expression. "Which do you prefer?" Keeping the fledglings in line was one of the most difficult tasks ever. With power comes cockiness and the thought that you're invincible- He didn't want to lose another to such stupid and idiotic impulses.

Bracing herself, Janna could tell the footfalls becoming heavier. Were they trying to alarm her? She blinked, the snowflakes slowly melting off her nose and cheeks. Shiloh came into view accompanied by a whistle. "Oh. It's you." Janna smiled, lowering her bow. "Doing your rounds?" Warriors usually would take turns surveying the outside of the pack territory to make sure intruders kept out. She guessed this morning was his turn.

Lowering her bow, Janna approached Shiloh closing up space between them. "Must be exciting."

"One werewolf, five werewolves, who cares?" Roxy asked, stretching her feet out and folding her hands behind her head.
"We're freakin' vampires. I bet I could take ten of 'em, no problem." Really, she didn't see what Alistair was so scared about. Sure,
she'd never actually fought a werewolf, but really, how hard could it be? She was a supernatural creature, they were just plain ol' wolves. A redneck with a 30.06 and a helicopter could probably take them out. "Sure beats sitting around here all day doing nothing."

Jaakko blinked as he stared out at the snowy ground and the empty street. He heard her voice, but didn't reply for several seconds. Finally, he turned around, a lost expression on his face. "I suppose you're right, but..." He trailed off, thinking about her words. He'd never felt so unsure before. "What if these vampires are too strong? What if we can't handle-" He broke off, inhaling sharply. "I can't lose any more of you. My job is to protect the pack, and if even one of you dies, that's on me. That's my failure." The alpha bit his lip, looking down into his glass. He had a worried expression as he swirled the clear liquid around, looking for some guidance.

Patrick Martin | vamp. fledgling | 22/54 | bi | tags; alistair, cora, roxy
Roxy came like a champ and instantly changed the mood fo the room and boy was Patrick grateful. He let out a sigh of relief when the conversation shifted to something he could actually keep interest in. Not that the weather was bad, but it was a go-to conversation piece for anyone who didn't know what to say. "Even if you don't kill any wolves, you can at least stir up trouble," he offered with a smile. However much fun taking on the wolves sounded, it probably wasn't the best idea. Gaslighting them, on the other hand, had the potential to be a fun group activity.

Cora smirked as Alistair spoke, catching the original’s sarcasm as he offered Roxy the awful plan of going after the wolves with guns blazing. She took a seat across from the others as Roxy went on to challenge the reality of how strong the wolves are. Cora sighed, shaking her head. Although her experience was nothing compared to Alistair’s, she had been alive longer than the fledglings, and she knew a thing or two about the werewolves from personal experience. At Patrick’s suggestion, Cora shrugged. ”Whatever we do, we must be careful. Those mutts will stop at nothing until we are all dead,” she said, the last bit muttered in anger rooted from personal experience. ”We have to get one alone, away from the pack. They’re weaker when they are apart,” she added, glancing at Alistair for his input on the matter.

Shiloh Fray
22 / male / warrior
tagged; Janna
Shiloh felt a careful smile tug at the corners of his mouth.
"Don't know if exciting is the word I'd use," he said softly, shrugging lightly, "Necessary more like. But I haven't found anyone dead yet, so if the vampires are hunting, it's not in this part of the woods."
His eyes drifted to the white world around him, looking up into the branches above absently. He almost never used terms like 'vamps' or 'blood-suckers' or any another phrase like it. Unlike many other werewolves, he didn't harbor any inherently negative feelings towards vampires as a species; rather just the ones who chose to be unjustifiably cruel or ruthless. These vampires were destroying this town, picking off citizens with no discretion. It frustrated Shiloh when he knew that there were alternatives to killing endlessly.

Poet Yvonne
Cis-Male - Form - 21 - Werewolf - Hunter - Homosexual - Crush: Hmmm - Tags: Open

Poet walked into the woods as he did everyday, walking to his favorite spot that not to many people visited. He liked the quiet sounds of nature, it just relaxed him beyond words. Don't get him wrong, he loved talking to people but just siting down after a stressful day and listening to the birds, the wind and the trees... It was amazing. He sighed and lay down on his back, closing his eyes and letting his other senses grow sharper. He wondered what the rest of the pack was doing... He asked himself, thinking about the events of the day. He shook his head lightly, trying to get rind of his thoughts. He needed to relax and concentrate on his plans for the rest of the day.
