- Astrid was quietly humming to the music playing in the background when a couple got up and left their booth. She quietly walked over, watching them leave and hearing the bell attached to the door. Gathering the dishes in a small tub she glanced at the receipt and took the small tip they had left. She never required tips and quite frankly hated taking them. but they were always appreciated when given. stuffing the extra cash in her apron pocket she once again heard the tinkling of the bell by the door. looking up she noticed a girl walk in, an almost surprised look coming upon her face. Astrid recognized this facial expression. Many people who had known this as Lucy's Cafe wore this expression as they stepped into the remodeled diner. Astrid could only hope people grew to love this place as much as they did Lucy's cafe.
Gathering the remaining few dishes Astrid quickly stashed them away behind the counter. Pushing her hair back a bit and placing a warm smile upon her lips she walked over to the newcomer who had placed herself at the counter. "Good evening! I'm Astrid, the owner of this diner. Is there anything I could get you?" She asked politely, placing her hands on the edge of the counter and leaning forward a bit. AS she waited for an answer Astrid took a moment to admire the girls looks. She had curly short blonde hair that Astrid could only dream of having. Her skin was fair and seemed almost perfect enough to be an angels. After taking in the remaining few details Astrid's smile widened only slightly, her lips coming together to give her a more naturally happy look.
