Mikael listened with a smile as they talked about the horse. She looked at Grece with a soft smile. "Are they willing to sell him?" She asked. Mikael had no problem if the animal was actually for sale. She had been working out a deal with the old man who owned the small farm next door for the last month and they were about to close the deal. That would mean that they would have more than twice the land that they had now plus another barn that would be large enough for livestock if they wished. If this was something that she truly wanted then Mikael would do all she could to make it happen. She knew that the kids were more than responsible enough to take care of a horse.

Grace shook her head sadly "the camp owner had him destroyed because he was "too dangerous. However I did hear about a colt that he sired a few months before he was put down. The colt is about a year old now, the colt is out of Midnight Drummer by War Dancer. Last I heard the colt is up for sale. I can find out more information on his price." she said softly. She had been thinking of the colt ever since she had seen the first photos of him months ago. Ari smiled at her sister knowing just the right gift if they could get War Dancer's colt. "Who would know that we are wolves just listening to us right now" Ari joked feeling a little better about the shared bond between them. Talon smirked "as if you aren't busy enough working with your metal and now dance and track. You're gonna be getting up even earlier." he teased his elder sister knowing that she was not opposed to hard work and little sleep.

Triko listened to them with a smile. It was not often he had company, less so ones that reminded him of his children when they were young wolves. "Castiel would probably be a good teacher for you as well. He is more patient than Novak." He thought that with how her change was and not knowing what she was. It might be easier for her to learn the way that Castiel had.

Mikael listened to Grace talk about the horse and was glad to see the joy that even the thought brought to her. She listened as the other two chimed in and smirked a bit. "Well then. See what you can find out." She told Grace. "I have condition though." She looked at ach of them but paid particular attention to Grace. "If we get him you have to promise to get sleep any not run yourself ragged trying to do everything around here." Mikael held a seriou look to her eyes. "There are five of us living here. So there is no reason to try and do everything by yourselves." She looked at each of them this time. "You finally have the chance to do things that you want to do and be kids for a while. I would like for you all to enjoy that. To focus on school and your sports. You will have to decide what goes on the back burrner for now. What can wait for breaks and summer?" She knew that they each had things that they tried to do to have money in their pockets. She also knew that this seemed like something rather important to them. "I just don't want you guys running yourselves raged."

Jessica did like the idea of castiel helping her but would Novak be ookkay with that? Turning her head to the healer, she frowned. “I made a promise with Novak though.” She never broke a promise, no matter how difficult it was. Though she would definitely pick castiel’s brain, like she normally did when she was with him anyways. Finishing the cup of tea, her heart rate was normal as it was going to get because she had an irregular heartbeat, and her body felt calm. As if there weren’t going to be an attack in weeks. “That tea really helped. Thank you.”

Castiel looked at Jessica. "It took me about a year and a half. Because for a year after I was bitten, I was alone and had no idea how to control it. I had no one to teach me until I stumbled upon the wolf that bit me. He taught me everything I needed." He looked at Triko. "I am highly doubtful that I would be a good teacher," he said. "Besides, like she said, she already made the promise to Novak.
I'll always be here though," he said. It wasn't like he was going to leave the pack any time soon, or not check up on Jessica.

Grace nodded "alright. I know I can forgo a lot of my work in the forge but I want to make all of the colt's shoes myself. I do want to keep up the work though because it does bring in some extra money. There are a few things that can wait till breaks. The colt won't be able to start riding till after he turns three but I can start breaking him getting him used to the saddle and bridle. That of course can wait till breaks and summer. " she said with a bright smile. Talon cocked his head "I know we can cut back a little on our runs and our sparing sessions." he added then after a moment added " there are maybe a couple more weeks where I have a few yards to mow and then it will be raking leaves and shoveling snow. Some of the repairs on the house can wait till summer and breaks. Although I do want to get that porch roof fixed before it gets too cold." Ari smiled "It's not going to be long before my garden is done for the year but I can get some of the plants going in the greenhouse. We have never really been kids and our birthday party might be a good way for us to start." she teased knowing just how important it was for Grace to get the colt that was sired by the stallion that had been such a big part of their lives for a while.

Jessica looked at castiel, interested in his past. “Why did he even bite you?” She frowned. “Is that even possible?” Her face scrunched up into a twisted grimace. Her heart rate was rising and the pressure in her spine started to get stronger. “Can I do that to Shane?” She started to get sick.

Brahn's body rose quietly, his muscles tensed and his glazed eyes stared out into the gorge as a deep growl vibrated from his throat. The growl was a deep, warning but it soon soften and his body relaxed but his eyes still stared out at the gorge. Soon his ears slowly flatten against his head and he lowered his head as the glaze look in his eyes disappeared but not before he whispered. "...Modo.." He blinked rapidly, pulling himself back into reality then releasing a deep sigh. He looked down at his paws quietly, only glancing over at Novak briefly. "Please don't die." he whispered.

Triko nodded. "It usually helps to keep things from getting too bad with those who are just learning to shift." He told her as he sat back in his chair. "I'll send some with you tomorrow for your training." He offered.

Mikel nodded. "Alright. Then we're agreed?" She asked them. "Find out what they want for the colt and I'll see about getting it. I'm not backing down though. If you don't get decent sleep and take care of yourselves." She looked at each of them. "You'll be grounded until your thirty." She knew that they were good about keeping their words but she didn't want them to overdo it and end up having a burnout. "Any ideas on who you want to invite?"

Novak's ear twitched to hearing Brahn's growl. He was awake but remained as he was. Still and with eyes closed, he listened. He heard the name that Brahn spoke. He had heard it on and off throughout their lives but did not know who it was. He had never pried into his past any more than the warrior had pried into his. He knew that he was speaking to him when he heard him asking him not to die. He remained silent for a while before he opened his eyes and looked at Brahn. "I will try to prevent what is to come. The future can always be changed." He told him quietly. "For now. We could both use the sleep."

Jessica nodded at his offer but asked “is it true I can hurt Shane by biting him and him turning?” Her eyes were filled with concern. All the better reason to learn how to control first before seeing him again. The last thing she wanted was to harm her long term friend and family member.
