The blue-haired boy's expression changed back to one that a deer might have if spotted in the woods- not exactly frightened, but surely conscious of the situation. He was aware that he made somehow made the situation somewhat awkward. Following Mina back to the table she had been at, his picked at a few bits of granola. It tasted good, but Jay didn't exactly know how to react to both it and the sudden shift in the girl's demeanour at the moment. "But there was still a lab..." He muttered softly to himself after hearing Mina's harmless response. Was the school just a big lab too, then? The half-blue Jay blinked to clear his head before looking back up at his temporary companion. "I suppose it's different in every place." He commented, his irises moving to peer at the ram-hybrid when she asked him about his own experiences. "Not when I was very little, I don't think. I don't remember having limbs like this either... but it was a while ago, and I was taught to not hang onto such memories." He explained briefly, his eyes flickering upwards as if to recall the instance. "Honestly I don't really know what happened in my life... They made us train to survive in multiple instances, and if we were fast enough we got treats. Uhm," Jay scratched his head "they taught us some stuff every few days too, and I read a lot in my free time. It was during one of the training exercises that I was found by some human hunters. They're the ones who brought me here, I believe. And... That's pretty much it." He finished with a shrug. "The others I didn't really get the chance to talk to. They were other birds, but they could actually fly. I think that about sums it up..." The boy explained, pushing a now empty container back and forth between his hand and his talon. "I don't think it was particularly eventful. Did anything strange happen to you?"
