"Ey, leave me out of this." He suddenly hissed. He knew he should have left sooner.
He put his hands over his face at Dians reply, sighing with annoyance. These two were talking like they intended to have a fight.
"Oh my god...." he murmured, before looking back up.
He had to remind himself that this was what other men did. If they were caught with their reputation on the line, they'd start a fight. He'd seen it a lot in the underground safe zone.

Jay thought about the new offer for a moment. He knew that it would be good for him to make friends, as he had seen in his books, but when presented with the opportunity the hybrid was a bit nervous. What were the social norms, even in a place for irregularities like himself? The teen found himself nodding in acceptance, not wanting to take her food even if she claimed that she didn't need it. "I... think I should try to get my own meal. And if you don't mind, could you perhaps help me get something?" After his carefully worded request, the hybrid threw up his hands- one normal, and the other a bird's talon. "You don't need to, though, if you wouldn't prefer it or are busy with something else. I'm sure it will be easily figured out." It was clear that the younger student was embarrassed. The girl's next words, however, calmed him down a bit. She was new too? Perhaps they were in the same boat, then, despite Jay's strange past and inexperience with the world. "Then... maybe we could find someone to help us together. Or at the very least find the actual school." He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "I... I honestly don't know what I'm doing. At all. I haven't been here for very long."

Murdock had just awoken from his nap. This sleeping pattern made him feel terrible. Skipping an hour of sleep could drastically change his schedule for the worse.
He sat up, swiping his hand across his face, feeling groggy and filthy.
He could feel the sweat on his back grappling onto his shirt.
Murdock let out a sigh, staring at the wall blankly.
He just wanted to stay in his dorm room, away from the academy and live his old carefree life. He had to remind himself that the time had already slipped away, he should just forget then, and love what was in store for him.
'Will I see you around?' The same faint voice rung in his head.
He looked at his feet, a small smile stretching to the corners of his cheeks.
He wouldn't give up now...
There was always a second chance, right?
He stood, extending his wings, stretching a bit.
murdock got changed, and took a short little shower, making sure he didn't touch any of his roommates things in the bathroom.
There was a chance he wouldn't see the lovely hybrid again.
The thought forced him to glance at his book lying on his mahogany desk. He hesitated, but reluctantly snatched up the book, leaving his dorm.

He eyed him and rolled his eyes while wishing he had more pages of comics to read..
Sadly he had read every single page since he had arrived to the town.. and did not like reading things over again
"'ow did you figure zaht one out, Sherlock?" he huffed at the other's epiphany and looked at Dian before looking to Darius
He smirked a little at the other male's annoyance and shook his head a little
"Do not worry yourself, mon amour.. I will not 'urt your friend zaht bad.."
Before looking to Dian and flashing a dangerously sharp toothed smile
"I might as well invite you in.. ze pool is my grounds.. I rule ze pool."
And put his gloved hands under his chin while wiggling his eyebrows a little at him

And grinned while chuckling softly
In all his years here at the Academy, not once had he ever had a 'family' in his dorm

He moved to pick her up bridal style, no matter what she said about not wanting it
His strong army arms didn't care and seemingly thought that this was mere warmups
"Come on.." he grunted while moving for the academy, heading for the indoor pool
"You'll be okay soon.."
And kept his eyes on Fletcher so that he wouldn't get lost
Being who he was.. he had gotten lost on multiple occasions

Dian looked at Darius for a moment, then turned his attention back on Aristide.
"I am not after a fight," he said. He shoved his empty mug aside. "I've been in more than enough fights already."
Though he was interested in the pool, he didn't want to fight. He didn't see a reason to fight this guy.
He looked at Aristide. Was he challenging him? Flirting? It was tough to say. He should have worked on his social skills more in stead of reading his books.
"Why is the pool your ground? What's your mutation?"
He looked interested. What could this guy do?
"I might accept your invitation some day. Which dorm are you from, anyway?"

Mina joyfully nodded at the Jay's request. He was lost, and he looked it. She admired his talon hand.
"Of course I'll help you!" She exclaimed. "Do you know what foods you like?" She anticipated that he may not. Since he needed help ordering, he may not know what to choose. He was shy, so maybe it was best that he wasn't alone if he was unsure.
"I can walk you over to the school. It isn't far. Then I could take you to the front desk? Theyll gladly escort you to your dorm!"
She wasn't so sure about going to the boys dorm room with him, but she would atleast get him to the school. If she didn't, she wasn't sure where he would end up. She offered a warm smile and a nod over to where the food line was.
"C'mon, lets get you something to eat."She took him by the arm and walked him over to the line. She was also eager to get back to the dorm. She wasn't sure she wanted to encounter more folks at the moment. The only person she truly wanted to run into was Merdock. She felt a smile creep across her face, but she tried to keep her cool.Hopefully she would see him again. Something in her gut told her she would.

He sighed a breath of relief he hadn't known he had been holding and then stopped to consider Mina's question. "Uh, I didn't get many options back at the la...st place I was. I do like seeds though, and bread..." He hoped that the answer wasn't abnormal in any way, but he figured that a familiar food might make him more comfortable in a place he didn't know. "And that would be great, thank you. I suppose this is the normal meal area?" Jay's brown eyes hovered over the place, to examine the place once again if not to avoid Mina's distracted smile. The half-bird didn't know if that was normal behaviour for her or if she wanted to leave, but he figured that she was just as lost as he was on the campus. When the other hybrid took his arm and guided him over to the line of food, the boy couldn't help but to brace himself for something. It was a normal response with his personality anyway, and he hoped that Mina didn't notice or take offence by it. Besides, the smell of the meals that were laid out caught his attention. "What is that?" Jay wondered curiously aloud as he peered at a pizza slice.

Mina found it adorable how little Jay knew about things. He was like a little kid in a candy store. He was a bird hybrid, so seeds and bread seemed like an appropriate response. She looked over once he spoke, and saw that he was eyeing up the pizza.
"That?" She pointed at the glass."It's called pizza! It comes in many flavors. If you like, you can get just cheese put on it. It also has tomato sauce on it, and its made from wheat, the same as bread."
She smiled, hoping that he may find interest in it. She scanned the glass containers for something else he may like. She spotted a plastic container full of grenola. Since it was similar to seeds, he may enjoy it.
"I was eating a grilled cheese. Its bread, with a slice of cheese in the middle. You may like this,
She asked the worker behind the counter to hand her the box of grenola. She showed it to Jay, and explained that it was chunks of nuts and seeds, and that it was sweet tasting.
"And yes, this is where you would get your food. But you can eat anywhere you like!"
She chirped pleasently. It was easy to help him, and she figured he may try anything, since he wasn't aware of what real food tasted like.

Jay's eyes examined the pizza carefully, his head tilting to the side as he considered it. He recognised it somehow, and he could have sworn he had tasted something like it at one point. Still, if he really had, then it was long ago and he wouldn't have remembered the details. The hybrid looked over to Mina when she mentioned something about yet another food and continued to watch as she ordered it from the employee behind the counter. The mention of fruit made Jay's eyes light up a bit. "Yes, fruit is good. I think that perhaps grahn-ola would be my preference. Thank you for doing this." The blue jay had had fruit before, on special days and if he completed his training very well, but most of the time he had gotten a carefully chosen diet meant for only nutrition. It looked nothing like the food in front of him now, and though he was still hesitant to eat it right away he did think that some of the selections smelled appetising. Receiving his own box of granola, Jay looked up. "If you don't mind my asking... Where exactly did you learn about this stuff? Did you have a different lab or something?" The mid-teen didn't know of anyone else like him aside from the seven other bird-hybrids in the assignment he had been a part of, and to think that there was a whole school dedicated to hybrids amazed him.

Mina was delighted by the expression he made when he saw the grenola. She was happy that it may be something he would like. She listened carefully to the bird hybrid, and the question he asked struck her hard. That's why he was different. He had never lived like this before. He was used to life in a lab. She wasn't sure how to approach the situation now. She didn't know if he would be sensitive to what she may say, and she didn't want to make him feel like he was abnormal. She walked with him over to the table she had been seated at before."Well," She began, as she pulled out the chair to take a seat.
"I don't remember being in the lab. I was very young you see. So I've always known these types of foods."
That was the biggest lie she had ever told. But she wanted to sugar coat the situation so he wouldn't get hurt.It was an innocent lie too, so it didn't make her feel as guilty.
"Have you been in a lab your whole life? You don't have to answer that if you don't want to."
She said kindly with a smile.
