Caine Micah Bayer

xxxxxThe alpha was taking him time sizing up the situation between the pack. The quiet that settled momentarily between them would serve as some sort of intimidation tactic for sure. But the silence didn't last long. The moment it was broken by the alpha's voice, Caine could feel the hairs on his back stand up. He moved his eyes almost reluctantly back to the woman whose eyes all but glowed against the dark of the forest. She addressed him this time which surprised him, to say the least. He didn't expect her full attention to be him and it was like electricity running through his body. He lowered his head though he wasn't sure if it was out of respect or preparation to fight or run. He tilted his head and attempted to appear relaxed as his mind reeled. He cleared his throat and gave a glance to his alpha before speaking. He didn't want to get snapped at by Blake in front of this new pack. It would look fairly weak of him. He turned back to the she-wolf when Blake made no outward signs of objection to him speaking. "The name is Caine," he spoke quickly as he licked his chops. She turned her attention to back Blake and the disappointment that followed had him reeling. Why should he care? To hide the fact, he took a more aggressive stance. He growled out to the other beta, "we may be calm now but that can easily change." He leaned back on his haunches and exposed his glistening white teeth.

xxxxxJanora was on guard but didn't make herself really known amongst the pack. She hung back until the talking continued with Katrina's acknowledgment of the beta. Oh, how she could rip that cocky wolf's throat out. Just give her a reason. His name was Caine- like she cared. She glanced at her alpha just awaiting her next reaction. She spoke of the calmness of the pack- to which she agreed. Sadly. She wanted so badly for one of them to mess up. At the same time, she understood that any wrong move could cause this deal to disappear and more wolves could die from lack of resources. Her attention was brought back by the sound of the deep, angry voice of the beta on the other side. She felt herself growl out despite herself almost like a reflex. "Watch it Caine," she growled, emphasising his name in attempt to show her disrespect. "Watch your tone when speaking to our alpha."
