When Magdalena approached, Linnae looked at her and smiled, hiding her uncertainty well. "Hello! Hungry?" She reached into the sack she'd brought, taking out a generous portion of wrapped meat. "How are you feeling today?"

Magdalena didn't answer, only glared at Linnae with ice blue eyes. Her wings were half open, making her look even bigger than she was. "I don't suppose this is straight from the wild, is it?" she asked scornfully. Of course not, it was packaged.

Linnae's friendly expression faltered and she averted her attention to the meat. "It was once, I'm sure. But to keep it safe, it has been wrapped. Do you want me to remove the packaging for you?" She never was able to speak with Perry like she was with Magdalena, so this experience was very new to her. She pulled the sack closer to herself.

Magdalena huffed. "I might be imprisoned, but I'm not disabled yet." she snapped before reaching forward quickly and slashing at the package in the girls hands, exposing the meat inside.

Caden watched the tempermental harpy, ready to intervene at a moment's notice. She reminded him of a harpy he had been assigned to, back when handlers were assigned. He rubbed his scar absentmindedly.

In her surprise at nearly being slashed, Linnae dropped the meat to the ground, which fell with an oddly satisfying muffled thud into the mulch. "Oh..." She met Magdalena's gaze evenly. "Now, you know I'm not meaning you any harm. It is my job to make sure you're healthy and happy. There's no need to lash out." Linnae looked a little flustered, but she did well to keep her cool. "Would you like some more, mulch-free?"

Perry's attention moved from Dr. Caden now to Linnae and Magdalena, his feathers flattening closely on his body to demonstrate discomfort. "Careful, Mag," he growled. He knew human skin was extremely delicate. A single slash from talons could be devastating for them. He looked at the meat that now lay on the ground and felt his stomach grumble. If she was too fussy to eat slightly dirtied meat, he'd gladly take it.
