Hiroko rested against a tree in the forest, sitting down on the floor with his large oversized sweater drooping down. In his hands, he held a dull butterfly knife that could do no harm, though it sure did scare the townies whenever he pulled it out; only people with actual senses and no fear could figure out that butterfly knives weren't used for threatening others. Hiroko was using it to cut an apple that he'd bought from the local grocery store, and though he had gathered a whole dozen of them, the young kid decided to only grab three apples and stuff them into his pockets. Fortunately, they did fit despite being slightly larger than regular apples, much to his luck. Cutting the apple into multiple slices using said butterfly knife, he quietly (and happily) munched on them, savoring the sweet taste. After cleaning make-shift apple slicer using his sleeves, Hiroko shoved it into his left sweater pocket, popping another apple slice into his mouth. What time is it.. he thought lazily, listening closely for the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling. Hiroko definitely had to admit; being alone in the middle of a forest surely was frightening, but he needed to prove to himself that he was no boring kid with a boring life. So for now, Hiroko continued to eat apple slices in the forest all while listening for the birds.

"Why're they so scared? She's so tiny," Itsuki placed a hand on top of Mercy's head, patting her sheepishly. After the act she had done by saving them, there was no way he could be angry at her now. Itsuki silently hoped she wouldn't be mad or annoyed at him either, seeing how he had enough problems to handle.
