"Uh...Don't you just pick them up?" Nodding slowly in agreement, he continued to have Dog trot onward. "Hm. Probably. How often do they need to eat? Twice a week?" Shrugging, he glanced at her with gleaming eyes, happy to feel the sense of freedom spring like wings. Blinking, he glanced at the sky, realizing the two should probably find a place to stay. 'Not yet. She doesn't seem tired yet, maybe we can travel for only a bit longer..
We will need food though. Maybe I can find some food in the morning and then we continue.' Sighing, he chuckled softly,
happy to be out in the wilderness. It felt all so right, the way the fresh air seemed to be breathed in, how the soft and gentle breeze caressed his face.

Feeling more relaxed in the log for a second, Krogoth's confused gaze made Sauci smile as he praised himself for the clever trick. In the matter of seconds, the retreat he was in was soaring the air, Sauci feeling himself scramble desperately, claws digging into the the bark as he was just barely able to see the world spiraling outside. With a loud crackle of the log bursting open, Sauci landed on his side, the impact causing the pain to flare up inside his limbs as his body violently trembled in shock. Dust crawled around the spot where he landed, Sauci struggling to get on his claws. No sense of balance was present, the world seeming uneven after the hard landing. Panting, he felt the ground slightly tremor as the beast neared. His emerald gaze quivered uneasily, Sauci now trying to get up even faster, his wounds only opening even more as the unfamiliar red liquid trickled down his battered body. The fur wrapping around his neck fluffed naturally in attempt to make himself look bigger, Sauci glancing up from time to time to watch the nearing human make his way. Quickly, he was plucked from the ground, all the escape attempts wasted. Glaring at him dead in the eye, his teeth fastened into the handle of the dagger. Right then, the guy had the idea to take the dagger from his, Sauci's slow strikes of his claws batting at the air. Too stunned to do anything furthermore, he could only hear the longing ring in his ears, the golden dragon feeling a sense of defeat rise in his lungs. "So. Think that was a smart choice, do you?" He could only continue to keep an unsteady glare on him, Sauci continuing to pant for air. 'Oh, ancients, please don't tell me this is only the start...' He frowned, Sauci pulling himself away. The way the fingers dug into his nape, keeping him hovering off the ground made his belly twist, his tail dangling down below. His ears pressed against the back of his cranium, his nostrils flaring. Small puffs of smoke rolled out from the corners of his mouth, Sauci feeling himself getting heated up. Keeping his muzzle shut, he continued to glance towards the dagger, longing for it to be held in his jaws.

She left like a ghost, faster than she had appeared. His gaze was focused on the spot she was in, disappoint flooding in his heart. 'I didn't even try to keep her. She didn't care. I did something wrong, haven't I?' Scolding himself,
he returned back into the cocoon before feeling himself shutter. 'I am probably going to die here. She has left me for good. The musky air clogged his lungs, dust sprawling about. A cold sensation creeped in body, his gaze wandering to the arm. He didn't bother making a theory or reason, it was all too strange for someone like him. Groaning, he flipped onto his side, fingers ruffling through his black hair. Ember didn't care, she left, and will probably forget about him. Maybe she will move onto the next guy in line, leaving him behind. Fixating his dark blue eyes on the walls, his eyes closed slowly, hoping that he could die soon very quickly and effortlessly. Staying in the silencing, which was stretched out for too long of his liking, Luck slowly rose to be sitting upright, a frown on his face. 'I should at least occupy myself.. somehow..' Debating with himself, he began to crawl out the door, dragging to blanket with him. He made his way back to the room with the log, his gaze searching the place. An ax was perched on the table, a pile of wood near the open door, and other items scattered about. He pulled himself up, reaching to grab the ax. Holding onto it cautiously, he glared at it, spotting the red flecks of what appeared to be blood staining the blade. Freezing, he felt himself go cold. "Was I really a murderer? How many did I even kill? Who did I kill? Is that why she left?!" Choking up, he shoved the ax away, Luck pushing himself towards the log as he trembled, unsure of what to even make of the scene. The pain returned to his left hand, the hue of the scales becoming richer. He gave a wail, expressing his pain before dropping back closer to the ground, panting as he fought for some form of breath. His lungs seemed to be clogging up, Luck trembling as he continued to cough for a breath. Bubbles of tears gurgled down his face, the pain over whelming him. Body pressing against the log, the ax laid far away, where it should be, his legs pulled tightly to his chest as his body crunched around the sore arm.
