Ember glanced back at Luck, seeing his expressions change so dramatically. She bit her bottom lip, glancing at the bed as he spoke. His voice was now calm, which made her frustration melt away. Now he didn’t care what she did or where he was, which was relieving. “My pleasure, really.” She chuckled slightly, listening to him continue. But please don’t feel like you have to stay here. I mean – I don’t mind if you stayed but I don’t want to be forcing you to be trapped in here.. “It’s fine - I have nothing better to do either.” She said to the man, raising an eyebrow, jaw gaping slightly for a short moment. She rubbed one hand against her arm for a few seconds, watching as he slowly slid in the bed. She turned her head away from him after the awkward silence dulled her thoughts. She pulled her hands down on the bed, pushing herself up as she walked to the other side of the bed. She pulled herself into the covers next to him, gingerly wrapping her arm around his neck. She drew closer to him, gently resting her forehead on his as their lips met.

Sage wobbled behind him, not expecting him to walk away. She stared at his long strides, wondering how he could stretch his legs that far. She had to pick up her pace in order to keep up with him. The girl listened to him, hopping a few times whenever she was falling behind. “Yeah…There’s a lot of people like that though…I think.” She said, glancing up at him when he asked her a few questions. “A dragon hybrid?” She mumbled half to herself, trying to think about it for a second. “Well, my daddy was a dragon, but not my mommy. I don’t know if I am.” She said, thinking about other dragons. “Or is a hybrid thing where a dragon can shift into a human? I know of other dragons that can do that…They all live in this little cave thing that’s not that far away…” She mumbled, memories of going in the sanctuary. She looked up at him when he looked at her, now able to walk slower when his strides were shortened.

Jack could feel Seth’s body slowly getting tugged away from the sword, which made him shake his neck more so. The sword would get pulled down several times, but then it would be driven further up his throat. His jaw was roughly clenched from the pain, wanting to fight back but also wanting to give in. No...Sage and Ria need me. He thought with a small growl, causing adrenaline to flow through his body. The sound of his bones getting dislodged from the rest of his body sent fear down his spine, which pained him both mentally and physically. His dull eyes glanced at Seth a few moments after he was thrown to the floor, which gave him the opportunity of tearing the sword out of his body. He tried to lower his neck towards his legs, but that parted his vertebrae even more, so, instead, he tried to grab the hilt of the sword. He reached forwards, his claws skimming the tip of the hilt, but he couldn’t quite reach it and get a good grip. His legs shifted slightly, and within a few seconds, Seth had gotten a better grip on his weapon. Jack violently jerked back and forth, not able to throw Seth off of him once again. His strength was fading – along with his hope. His neck twisted at a slower pace, which was when Seth had wanted to pull it out, but it only tore at his vertebrae. He roared once again, but this time, it had a dulled sound. The knight then started to sever at the neck, causing his bones to part. The sword dug between his spine in whatever way it could, which limited his amount of moves on Seth without hurting himself. Come...On...Don’t give up... He thought, about to collapse on the ground and let the mad-man finish him off, but it was his daughters that drove him this long.

⚜ The thrashing had sped up, and had finally been exhausted after the following, enthusiastic blows. The dragon roared and clawed, but now he was growing duller, his irises were growing duller and he parted his jaws and roared softly. Seth hadn’t noticed the slightest. Flecks of bone sputtered into the air, he drove his blade inward, and he cut it between the selected two vertebrae. His sword dragged over the neck, and he pounded, over and over, the bone dragon’s head was swaying limply now. Seth drove his weapon in again and cracked area between the vertebras open. There seemed to be some interesting development on the dragon at this moment, as he shot forward and nearly separated the entire neck, the dragon head only dangling, he lost his hold and came falling down, the blade in his hand, he stared up at the nearly-headless creature from the ground. Smoke was seething up from its gaping skull. Its dying golden irises had burrowed into the Knight’s face. He was still, eerily so, watching it stand just a few feet from him in grotesque anticipation. ⚜

The knight continuously drove the sword deep into his vertebrae, causing small chunks of bones to chip off and fall to the ground. A small grumble escaped his lips before his body gave in, collapsing to the ground with a growl. The spell...Is broken... He thought, feeling a slight sense of change to his body. He stared at his legs, able to see the formations. Flesh grew on his bones, and above that, sapphire blue scales spread across his body, his underbelly a lighter color. A small purr escaped his maw at the sight of his old self – wings that worked, and his old body - no more bones were exposed. Blood oozed down his neck where Seth’s sword was still tearing at his vertebrae. Calmness washed over him, and his limbs went limp, making it impossible for him to fight back. He glanced up at the sky with his golden eyes, seeing a faint figure of his wife. His eyes glanced down to the ground, a soft murmur escaped his lips as he closed his eyes, the sound soon dying into nothingness, and any expression on his face was wiped clean. Within a few moments, the water dragon’s body shifted back into a skeleton dragon, the flesh and scales becoming nothing more than a pile of dust, and his golden irises had gone with the rest of him. His body lay limp, and the life that he once carried with him - was gone.

It was quite enjoyable spending his time with the child, Muscari kneeling down to match her eye level as he listened with interest. "Cave thingy?" He blinked, unsure of how to respond, Muscari's face squishing up in thought for a moment. 'Ooooh, it must be some summer den thing or whatever.' Wanting to quickly wrap up the conversation with a neat ribbon, Muscari elegantly brushed his hand through his hair smoothly before returning his attention to Sage. "Do you have anything in mind, at the moment?" He asked her in a curious tone, Muscari's eyes flashing attentively. The silence only hung for so long until his stomach gave a growl, Muscari blinking in surprise as her glanced down, realizing the hunger gnawing at his his belly. 'Did I even eat today? Did Sage eat? Poor girl, she must be famished.'

Shaking his head, he scuttled away in the opposite direction, Sauci somewhat positive he was heading in the right direction towards the sanctuary. Continuing his little walk, panic squeezed his little dragon lungs as he realized that the sanctuary wasn't popping up. Halting for a moment, Sauci felt the world around him swirl, as if he was being engulfed in water with chains gripping at body. Shaking his head, his chest puffed, Sauci searching the space around with his emerald eyes. The sanctuary had to be somewhere. Someone would find him eventually. 'I should make the best of it... I mean honestly, I haven't been this far from home ever. Mom can find me, right? Right? Yes, so that means I can explore because I am the boss now.' Giving himself permission, Sauci took a brief moment to decide on the direction he would head. After staring at the forest whom which appeared to be the same from all angles, Sauci quickly scratched a tree's bark, marking his place, before heading in the direction he chose. Scampering forward, his stout legs trotted lightly on the ground, dry and crippled leaves pushed by his twinkling claws as he made his way through the cluttered forest. At times, he faced a fallen log or boulder, Sauci climbing them willingly, adventure scorching in his eyes. 'I can't wait to tell everyone about this! They will be so jealous!' Grunting in praise towards himself, Sauci continued to scramble through, the slight taste of burning fires tickling his nostrils. Surprised by the smells, he surveyed his surroundings, head tilted. 'Am I this close to the sanctuary? Wow! I am a great explorer!' Smiling to himself, he rushed forward, only to presented with the devastated cries and shouting of people. They were down the hill, but he could still see the poor scene. Odd structures were in ashes, the untouched wood poking out of the piles of rocks and tormented hay, as well as crusty bodies flowering. Stunned by the scene, Sauci stepped back, unsure of what emotions he was feeling. Only the cold frost of numbness pulled its way through his quivering body, Sauci's gaze become wilder with shock.

⚜ Blood had washed Seth’s hands and flecks of it covered his face and chest. The dragon blood dripped onto the floor and the man rose onto his feet and stepped back and watched the unveiling of blue scales, no longer in skeletal form – the Knight tightened his eyes, and lunged for the final blow. The rumble ran through the dragon’s throat, he could feel it; he sensed exhaustion taking over until it slipped into death. And at this point, Bloody-Bones had stepped away again. The body of the large beast had collapsed onto the ground, the sapphire neck moved like a winding snake, before life passed through the dragon’s golden eyes, the breath left its lungs at once, and Seth had won. He gave a mighty grin, heightening himself in his pride. The blood on his hands, on his blade, on his helmet, and on his armor began to crust again, it grew dark, and it turned to powder, then dust, and faded to oblivion. The corpse of the large blue dragon had also begun to decompose in the blink of an eye. Its scales seemed to melt; its skin fell into a shade of darkness, the body caved in until the bones remerged, the golden eyes the dragon once had was no longer there. The beast was dead. ‘Wait until I tell Musky,’ thought Seth, and snickered. ‘He’d never believe it – the devil. Ah. I killed an already dead pile of bones...’ He sheathed his weapon. He hadn’t passed the dragon a look as he walked away, but then thought to himself, he came forward toward its face, his shadow in the lifting sun came over the skull like a sheet, and he unsheathed his blade, lifted the hilt up, waved it, and finished decapitating the beast. ‘Just to make sure,’ he thought, and finally turned from the pile of dragon bones and detached dragon’s skull, coming to his black Friesian horse. It remained right as it had been left, and didn’t look to its master. The animal hadn’t even twitched as he mounted it, and obeyed as the Knight pulled at its reins and took it back in the direction of the kingdom. The stallion galloped, the sun’s rays fell over the horizon, its hooves dug deep into the soil as it came back through the meadow, into the forest, and cut between the trees. The village passed afterwards, or what had been left.
Much later the horse and its rider arrived beneath the gates of Erin’s castle, to the stables where Seth parted with his stallion and roamed the stone stairs. He entered the castle, travelled past the other Knight’s with much pride, his vibrant purple cape waved behind him as he arrogantly strode through the hallways, and gradually came upon the King’s doors. As he peeked inside, he was aghast to find Erin hadn’t been there. ‘Whaaat?? He is up and on the move? What kind of backwards world is this?’ It irked the Lead Commander to know that his plans had been crushed, but, he was determined anyway. The Knight turned from the door; he patrolled the first floor to find a girl, someone new checking out the rooms. ‘Stupid little girlie...move out of my-OH king Erin!!’ The King himself had been with this girl. Seth lightly pushed this interferer out of his way and cracked his head out to the side. “Hellloooo my, High King...may I...converse with you...??” The devious madman curled his lips in a chilling grin. “It is sooo urgent. Do you miiiind??” ⚜

Sage smiled brighter when he lowered himself, now nearly the same weight as her. "Yeah, and it's huge!" She said, wanting to go on a small rant about it, but she didn't speak more of it. Do you have anything in mind, at the moment? He said after neatly running his fingers through his hair. "Well...Um...Not really. But now you have me thinking about dragons a little bit..." She said, a small smile still swept across her face as she rocked on her feet slightly.

She moved her eyes to pay more attention to the rooms. They were practically all the same. She paused at one and touched the door knob, the handle made of some sort of crystal like all the others and she opened it. "Got a candle?" She raised an eyebrow, peering into the small dark room. She was almost tempted to grab the torch on the wall. But she could make out a dresser, a small bed, and a few other things here and there. But she felt almost as she was shoved into the room, then hearing a voice like that perhaps once heard before. But at the dresser, there was a flint and a candle and a few other things. She lit the room, looking back at the two. This man had blood on his armor. A exciting chill ran through her

"Pfft," she said outside, not really realizing, before walking over with a newfound confidence. "Dark," she says this carefully, slowly hinting on their conversation more important than the question she was going to ask him. Which was childish of her. She swallowed, holding her tongue, making sure she wasn't interupting something too serious...

When she brought up the idea of dragons, his stretched ears twitched, Muscari's mouth dry. "Spit it out." Although his voice was sharp and quick like steel, his gaze remained delicate and warm on Sage. He flinched at the common thudding of Seth's rambunctious strut through the halls as he passed by calmly to where King Gage should be, a small frown responding back to the echoing footsteps drumming through the decorated halls. Muscari watched him for a moment before gently pulling Sage closer, his gaze alert as he glanced up from time to time, Muscari keeping a watchful eye on the world around him when Seth had made his grand entrance. It was as if a badger had stomped into the tunnels, a family of ducks huddling to the side as they let this beast waddle through.

Ember grabbed his arm gently as he wrapped it around her. Her cheek rested by his shoulder, a smirk still swept across her face as he spoke. "Mmm...Lovely..." She muttered, kissing him gently after he yawned before pulling away. "It's a long day, lover boy...We have other things to do." She said, lazily sitting upright, running her fingers through her hair. She knew she had to be back at the sanctuary soon, but she didn't want to go without spending a little more time with Luck.
