Hope smiled and dipped herself under the water, sinking to the bottom to rest on her hands and knees. The shirt floated up to reveal the rest of her legs, up to her hips, showing the white swimsuit bottoms before she pushed herself back up, wiping the water from her eyes. "I haven't swam in so long. I forgot how nice it is." She said softly, going into the position she was in before. Hope turned as Osuma waved and waved back with a grin, leaning her back against the edge of the pool and leaning her head sideways to rest her cheek on Alex's knee.

Lucy frowned. "That's not good. And don't wear yourself out if something ever happens to me! I would rather I get hurt before you do." She grabbed onto his shoulder lightly and swam in front of him, saying the last part quietly to him with slightly narrowed eyes.

She glanced at him still not daring to look at him straight on. She let her legs down and put her hands in her lap. "I understand that, but you probably don't like me very much." She said.

He smiled warmly at her. "That is very sweet, but, I'm afraid if it came to something like that, I would do anything for you." He said. He was already worn out from that little bit he did just a few moments ago, He went to the edge of the pool and leaned his back against it. "Hey guys." He said yawning slightly.

"And I, for you..." She whispered, watching him go to the edge of the pool. Lucy sighed and swam back over to the edge she was on when she got mad at Avery, and the girl hauled herself up onto the side, looking around a bit.

Jay sighed and ran a hand through his hair before hugging her close to him. "You really need to learn how to read people, Mai." He told her.

"Hey!" Hope said cheerfully. She shuddered a bit looking into his eyes, picking up the memories of what they had just done. Her face fell. "I'm sorry about Avery. She goes too far sometimes. And you guys are a really cute couple!" She gushed with another grin.

Lucy shuddered and buried her face I. Her hands, hearing what Hope had said. "D*amnit..." She muttered under her breath, curling up into a little ball and blushing in embarrassment.

Alex stroke her hair absentmindedly. "It's been a while for me too; I stopped swimming after I entered high school." He sighed as an unpleasant memory surfaced.

Hope nodded at Alex and glanced at Lucy, her face falling again, looking flustered. She fiddled with the hem of the t shirt she was wearing, lifting her cheek from Alex's knee. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to see it, I just.." She stuttered, struggling for words. She hated when people disliked her.
