the year is 2192 and no one knows what's happened to the world. technology didn't advance as
fast as everyone thought it would. the first mars mission was 2060. the first successful mars
mission was 2087. and of course, just like the many, many people before him, some super-duper
famous science predicted the end of the world to be 2091. not one person believed him, and he
was locked up for proposing such a thing. but, something did happen. no one knows what, but
something happened. february 4, 2091: the world ended. well, almost. people died. millions and
billions of people died. but, people lived. only about 127.3 million people remained, but
though they survived whatever had happened, they didn't really get to live. they didn't remember
a thing, you see. well, about the apocalypse. the last thing they remembered, and every single
person on the planet remembered the exact same thing: trumpets. it was unexplainable. how
could one single sound be heard across the entire plant. well, forget that. how did everyone end
up within the walls of one massive city? one, massive, futuristic city, with technology no one
could explain? even now, no one can explain it. but now, there is a system. no one remembers
who exactly decided on this system, but one day it was there, and it's worked every since. there
are nine categories of people: the kings, the queens, the rooks, the bishops, the knights, the pawns,
the southerners the reapers, and the unseen. the kings make up the males of the royal family who
run the kingdom. similar to the kings, the queens make up the females of the royal family. the rooks
are the royal families personal guards. the bishops are the castles guards. the knights are the soldiers
owned by the royal family. and the pawns are the civilians of the city. now, where do the other three
come in? well the southerners are the upperclassmen of the pawns. they are friends with the royal
family, are rich and powerful people. all other pawns don't really have a name, they are just the low
class and middle class, but, in this massive city, there are also gangs. now, there are many gangs, but
two specifically influence the others above the rest: the reapers and the unseen. though the two
avoided battles with each other, they had their problems with the rest of the gangs. the reapers took
control of the east and north east of the city. it was a generally middleclass, and generally the
members of the reapers were middleclass as well. the unseen had the west and north west of the city
to control. though mostly middleclass, their territory also contained the lowclass neighborhoods. it
was difficult for other gangs. with the two big gangs controlling the majority of the city, no including
the richlings neighborhood, it was hard for them to get around. most small gangs were considered to
be 'color gangs' with colors to represent them. every member wore a color. but the reapers and the
unseen did not wear colors. they were invisible, and it made them dangerous. now, our story is about
what happens to the city, when the hidden soldiers of the pawns start their own wars.
