"Is trying to suppress them really the best option?" Haris asked softly after a moment. "Would it not... be better to try and work with them? Otherwise you'll just always be fighting against them, and one slip up could cause chaos." Her eyes move back to Lola once more, frowning. "You're lying, aren't you?" It actually sounded less like a question and more like a statement.

They sat crouched on a fairly sizable rock, tail flicking back and forth as they did their best to balance themself with their right arm, sword in their left hand. Some... creature of some kind had been after them for a while now, circling the rock but not steady enough to actually follow them up it. They were still holding out hope that it would give up and search out some easier to catch prey, but so far that hadn't happened, and honestly Zeri wasn't confident enough in their abilities to try and take the creature. {This is why they had originally trained with a crossbow, dammit.} The didn't have much hope for a convenient rescue, either. Which meant it had devolved into a waiting game, who would give in first? Should they make a run for it, or just try to wait the creature out?
