"Oh, I've done spectacular! I mean, I did use money mainly to trick others into betting (and losing) more of theirs, and spent more than a little buying more pretty, colorful drinks, but it was worth it! Look," Sonia showed Larkin the money she had cheated her way into, "About 300! Not my best, but definitely not my worst. Also, what do you say we hang around just a little longer before we head back? I mean, I feel as if we should be getting back soon. You know the mansion, I'd be surprised if it hasn't been burned to the ground before we return. Still, a little longer can't possibly hurt too much, right?" She gestured just behind Larkin, "Plus, it looks as if those guys over there have been looking over here for a little bit now, and probably wouldn't be opposed to showing off some of their skills before they lose all of their money to us." Sonia gave Larkin a knowing smile- the two had their routine down so well it was like second nature. Humans could be so weak willed, and their vulnerable world was far too amusing not to toy with.

I wish she wouldn't hug him like that... And honestly this is his own fault for even trying with Nicky. If he was stupid enough to believe Nicky cared about him or something, he deserves to be hurt because of it. He needs to suffer. Alone.

Ruty sniffled and nodded quietly, "O-Okay...T-Thanks..." He squeaked. He hugged Lilly and kissed her on the cheek before making his way back through the garden and to the mansion.

I whiped the kiss of my cheek as if it was a bug or something. I walked out the garden and looked for Raven. I was smiling, happy that I could help my friend.

As Lilly walked away, probably to look for me, I ran back inside and went to my room so she wouldn't know I had stayed to watch them.
