Macon looked into her eyes. "hunter..." he sighed. "but you also have to trust me that i keep my promises. I said i'll come back. i promised i'd never leave you. i know it's hard for you to trust in that promise. but sometimes it takes trust." a tear ran down her face. >>how can we ever be a real family when she doesn't trust me?!<<
"when i say i'll come back- i will come back. when i say i'll never leave you- i will never leave you."
he really would like to punch a wall right now. "but tell me what i can do when you don't believe me. and tell me how to make you believe."

Rachel sighed. "i know...but i don't even...i don't know, it's like i'm seperated from my body. no hunger, no pain, nothing...i'm just so empty...I'm..."her psychology lessons flashed into hr head. >>oh.<< "...burned out."

"I do trust you...", Hunter whispered, pain in her voice. "You...you just left...no explanation, only a vague promise you'd be back...I thought you had died." She felt as if she was about to throw up, yet empty inside...

Jim sighed. "I think we all are...", he said and sighed sadly. He hadn't eaten for a week as well, but still. Rachel should've eaten! "I'll make you breakfast in a few minutes, and then we both eat, sounds good?" >>Mac...please hurry...I feel like I'm losing her...<<

Macon sighed again, shook his head and softly kissed hunter. "I'm not dead.", he whispered. "and there would have been no way to explain everything. but i understood. i saw. i finally got it all right. sometimes i will have to go there again, but that will be very very rare and only for a day or so. i never meant to hurt you." he kissed again, loger, this time, and softly pulled her closer.

Rachel sighed, and nodded slowly. "sounds good", she mumbled weakly and closed her eyes. was it falling asleep or blacking out? she wasn't even sure. she just knew that she was dead tired and barely able to move a finger.

Hunter closed her eyes, feeling how her heart lightened up a bit. Macon was there. He was back. "I...I buried my necklace...", she whispered sadly. "Because I thought you were dead and because that was the only thing I had left from you..." She grabbed his hand, and looked into his eyes. Her sparkling was slowly coming back.

Jim smiled softly and stood up. "First, you gotta sleep a few hours more.", he said to her and pulled up the blanket. "You're dead tired, and you can't eat when you're tired."

"well then i will dig it up again", Mac said smiling, looking into her eyes. he softly ran his fingers over her cheek. "i love you so much", he whispered, hugging her tightly. " i will have to show you one day. it's so hard to explain...but it's so beautiful."

Rachel hadn't even heared him. she was snoring silntly.

Hunter looked into his ice blue eyes and smiled softly. For the first time in that week - which had seemed like an eternity to her - she smiled again. "Try to explain it to me...", she whispered, leaning her head onto his shoulder.

Jim smirked. >>Cute.<< Walking over to a chair where he had put his leather jacket, he rummaged around in its pockets, taking out the handcuff. A good thing he had discovered how to open it without a key. Putting it around it wrist, he nervously started to twist it around.

"one second", Macon said, slowly stood up and checked the infusions. he exchanged two empty ones with two full ones, regulated the dripper agan and checked her pulse. it was getting stronger. >>luckily...<<
"darling i'm back in a second,okay?" he disappeared into a cloud of mist and came back with a sandwich. "you really have to eat. and don't start discussing with me now. you eat, i explain. okay?" he sat down beside her again and held out the sandwich.

Hunter took the sandwich and stared at it for a moment. She wasn't hungry, so why should she eat then?
"Do I have to eat...?", she asked, looking up into his sparkling eyes. >>He's here...he's back...he's here...<<

Jim was walking around in circles, what he always did when he was stressed. How was his brother? Was he losing Rachel? Was he losing himself?
His thoughts were racing. >>I need distraction...concentration...<<
Dropping to the ground, he started doing push-ups. >>Concentration, distraction.<<
And this had been happening all the time the past few days. First nervously walking in circles, then panicking, and then distracting himself by either doing push-ups or boxing against something. And then all over again.

"you have to eat", Macon said nodding, his voice soft, but also not allowing any discussion. "i can't feed you artifically with these infusions forever." he softly wrapped his arm around hunter and began to explain, hoping she would finally start eating then.
"okay so, ummm...you know how it looks when the moon shines on the sea, don't you? and now, imagine everything is sparkling like that, dipped in beautiful silvery light. the seas were glowing as f they were made of ight and when you ran your hands through the grass on the meadows, millions of glittering particles flew up, like tiniest fireflies...the moon was bigger, big enough to lighten up everything, but still the stars were sparling and..." he sighed. "she was there. she really was there. and she told me a lot of things."

Hunter had almost reached the half of the sandwich now. She was eating - but slowly, really slowly.
"Sounds like a dream...", she whispered, looking at Macon, her eyes finally sparkling again. Maybe even more than they did before. "And...what did she tell you?"
