Crystal rolled her eyes, stepped into the room and turned on the light. "veeeery funny", she said smirking. "but you won't ever find anything anom-killing in Aegis, so nice try." she brotherly hit his shoulder, looking around. "hmmm..."

Her freshly scarred, shaking arm lifted a few inches, wanting to grab the hand. But she couldn't move. She was weaker than ever, on the verge of death.
There were wings. Macon didn't have wings.
It wasn't Macon...

Her pale face turned even paler, her dead eyes full of disappointment.

Jim's eyes widened. "What?" Staring at the moon for a moment, he turned around again and stumbled out of bed. "Where is he? We gotta find him!"

"it really is me", Mac whispered softly and stroked her cheek, leaving a trace of light that slowly faded. "i found it all. She asked me to stay. but i couldn't."hesitatingly, he approached, hugging her softly. she was so fragile. he quickly ran into his lab, do get injections and everything for hunter. after a few minutes, he was back, immediately starting to vet her."darling i'm so sorry i had to go...", he whispered silently. "but now everything's so clear..."

Rachel softly put a hand on his shoulder. "hunter and him will need some time alone now."

Hunter couldn't even react to his hug, neither to the fact he was just putting injections into her - and she was terrified of those.
"You...", she whispered, her voice silent and dead. "...promised me to...never leave me again..." Another tear ran down her cheek. She didn't even notice it anymore. She had been crying every second of the past week, it had become normal for her.
"Kill me. I want to die."

Jim nodded and sat down on the bed, rubbing his eyes. "I hope he's fine. And that Hunter hasn't killed herself yet..."

Macon looked up from his work. "yes, said i would never leave you. and i said i would come back. i said i wouldn't be gone forever." he softly took her hand as he was done with his first aid. "and i was right. i never left you. ii was gone for some time, but i have never left you, like left left, you know? it was like...a buisness travel...?" he sighed and looked into her eyes. "all te time i tried to send you signs. the flower in the desert. the shooting stars yesterday, the morning dew on your window sill. " another sigh. "i said i'll come back. and so i did."

Rachel sighed an nodded, leaning her head against jim's back. "it's been one horrible week."

"I couldn't believe you when you said you would come back...", she said, her voice shaking, tears streaming down her face.
This was all too much. Just too much.
"Everybody who left me kept saying they'd come back...they never did...so why should you? Come back for this worthless wreck?" She pointed at the wall behind him. There was a chair.
And a rope hanging down from the ceiling.
"Everyday I stood there...but they always came in just as I was about to throw the chair away..."

Jim sighed. "Probably one of the worst we ever had here in Aegis.", he said, looking at Jack's bed. Noah had been sleeping there for the past week, while Jack had then slept between Rachel and himself in their bed. "Do you think everything will get back to normal again?"

Macon stood up, grabbed the rope and threw it out of the window. then he went back to hunter and hugged her tightly. "i would come back from everywhere for you.", he whispered. "go through hell for sixhundred-sixty-six times with nails annd glass shards in my feet."he looked into her eyes, softly leaning his forehead against hers. "i missed you so much."

Rachel was close to falling asleep again. "i hope so...", she mumbled silently. "i can't handle that much further...." she sighed exhausted, closing her eyes, listening to jim's heartbeat.

Hunter cried even more, wanting to hug Macon as tight as possible, but she was still too weak to move. "I missed you more than life...", she whispered, shaking slightly.

Jim nodded. "Me neither.", he mumbled, wrapping his arms around Rachel and closing his eyes, just enjoying her closeness.

"I'm here", Macon whispered softly, hugging her as tight as possible without breaking her. she was so fragile right now. he didn't know what else to do or to say. he softly stroked over her back, hiding his face in her hair. "i need you just as much as you need me, darling...", he whispered. "probably even more."

Hunter softly pressed her forehead against his chest. "I...want you...", she whispered silently, still shaking. "...to promise me on your son...that you will never...hurt me like this again..."

Jim softly ran his hand over Rachel's back, smiling sadly. "Hun, you really need to eat more..." Everybody had been alone most of the time for the past week. And therefore Jim hadn't also been able to control Rachel's eating. She had probably stopped doing it...maybe even without knowing. And while she had been suffering so much, he had just been boxing and training in the old abandoned HACK outpost...to forget his thoughts.
