Rachel turned around. Hearing what the men had said, she turned into a really really scary phoenix-human shift and hissed at them with all the wrath inside of her. The demon inside was playing along.
this time she would work together with it.
ripping some piece off the first soldier, she couldn't see anything anymore.
her eyes were black, not amber as normally. "LEAVE OR DIE!!", she screamed along eith the best inside. somehow her voice suddenly consisted of two voices, making her even more demonic than she already was.
"HAVE I EVER TOLD YOU MY STUPID UNCLE WAS A SATANIST?!" the two voices screamed.
she jist hoped it would play long for long enough.

"rachel once told me...", Macon said "that it was a feeling like loosing all control.
she believes she has a demon inside her, since her uncle was a satanist and had used her for his rituals a few times, when her parents werent at home. ihave no idea if thats true. but she said it was like the demon was trying to rip her apart to escape."

Jim backed away from her. That was scary.
The soldiers weren't paying attention, the door was open....
Jim charged at the one in front of the opening, taking the gun out of his hands and shooting him before he had even reached the floor. The other soldier was still staring at the scary demonic phoenix in front of him, so it wasn't that hard to shoot him.
"Rey!", Jim shouted, trying to calm her down. He didn't know how much time they had left, since the shots were probably already heard.

Hunter shivered. "D-d-demon?" It was clear that she was afraid of darkness, but what nobody knew is that she was...kinda afraid of anything. Hard not to be afraid if you suffer from anxiety disorder. "Hold me.", she mumbled and cuddled onto Mac's chest, breathing heavily. Even though there wasn't that much scary about that story, it made her freak out. She hoped she wouldn't panic in front of him.

"WHAT?!" Rachel screamed. She noticed the soldiers laying on floor, dead. the black curtain faded, just a bit. She recognized that man in front of her. She knew him...her mind was blurry, full of evil thoughts. >>it'staking me over!<< she screamed inside. who was that man? She hissed at him. He looked like he could be a danger. "WANT TO END UP THE SAME, HACK-FILTH?!" she screamed. She knew him, she knew him!! who was that man?

Macon hugged Hunter. "don't worry. She has always been a good one, right? She said she would keep the beast inside, forever."

Jim's eyes widened. What was happening to her?
"Rachel! It's me, Jim!", he tried not to shout at her, but stay calm. "Your boyfriend!"
He lay his hand on her shoulder and looked into her eyes. They were slowly turning amber again.
"It's okay. It's okay."
He could already hear the footsteps of the army of soldiers who were running downstairs.
"You have to come with me now if you want to stay alive. You can trust me.", he talked to her as if they had just met, hopefully she would calm down now.

Hunter just nodded and started to cry.

Memories were crashing through her head, beautiful memories of close moments with the love of her life, horrible moments, seeing him shoot Jamie, Jack, Anoms...
The pictures wouldn't go away!
She stubled after him, blinded by the memories.
can you really trust him?
of course i can, he's my boyfriend!
maybe he's just trying to trap you

look at you! why should he love you?!
"I SAID SHUT UP!!"

Macon sighed. he wanted to be there for her. but he had to look out for Jim and rachel.
"Hunter, stay eith Jamie. I will seek for them. When i found them i will call you." he pulled two phones out of his pockets and gave one to Hunter. "I'll be back soon,don't worry."

Jim stopped. "You okay?"
A soldier came running down the corner, but after a few seconds he already lay on the floor.
Jim walked to Rachel, who was shaking heavily. He kissed her, then took her hand and softly dragged her with him, shooting at the soldiers who were already behind them.

Hunter nodded. "Promise me one thing."

Rachel still couldn't see much, but what she could see were guns aiming.
"JIM WATCH OUT!", she screamed.

"what?"

Jim bent down just in time, shooting the soldier who had almost killed him. "Thanks!", he said to Rachel.
The soldiers were right behind them. The only way out was right in front of them. He looked back. About a dozen soldiers were running after him, following the Major.
Jim shot the soldiers who were guarding the door. He only had a few bullets left. He aimed at the button where you opened the door with, and fired. Out of the nothing, the door opened.
"Come on!", he said to Rachel.
As they arrived at the door, he made a quick decision. It was impossible for them to get away with a dozen soldiers behind them.
He kissed Rachel, whispered, "I hope you'll forgive me.", and pushed her out of the building. The door closed behind her.

"That you will return.", Hunter said and kissed him.

Rachel couldn't believe her eyes. "JIM!", she screamed.
tears ran down her face. "JIM!!!"

Macon nodded. "I will always be by your side, no matter what will happen today." he ran off into the forest.
Where the helicopter had crashed, he found a motor bike.
Macon fixed it eith a few quick tricks,jumped on it and raced in the direction of the hack camp.
When he arrived, all the soldiers were gone. There were little piles of ash everywhere, and Rachel, laying on the floor in a horrible half-shifted state, crxing her eyes out.
"Rachel, what happened?"
she looked up to him with dead eyes. "Jim..." she whispered. "JIM!!"

A tear ran down Jim's face. He didn't want to do it. But he had to, to save her.
He fired his last bullet at the button, so the door couldn't be opened until the button was fixed. Rachel had now time to get away
"How brave of you", the Major said with an overload of sarcasm. "Staying behind to safe your girlfriend. We'll catch her eventually." A soldier handcuffed Jim and took him away.
