She immediately went silent, turning to watch the arch for any signs of movement from any large animal, still as a stone.

"Why? I can't feel it... I can't ever feel anything except stupid emotions..."

"J-just because you can't feel it does not mean it doesn't hurt your body." He put his hand on hers in worry of what she was doing and trying to reassure her.

Sage tilted their head slightly, watching the arch. It was almost five minutes later when something actually appeared. A pointed muzzle appeared, sniffing, and a few seconds after it did a dusty red-brown fox darted through the arch towards the water. It froze as it spotted them, tensed to run, before it seemed to relax and dipped its head down to drink. About thirsty seconds after the fox started drinking, a second, slightly larger one, this one more brown than red, followed after.

Shyly taking his hand, I stop hitting my head. "I-I gúss you're right... " I sigh softly, leaning against the wall.

He knew it should be getting dark soon with how long this has been. "Please... don't do something like this again," he looked at her hoping that she would stop hurting herself.

She caught her breath, not daring to move, breathe or blink. Though, blinking wouldn't make much of a difference. This was the closest she had ever come to a wild animal, fox or not.

The first fox lift its head back up as Sage made a soft noise. The fox blinked, then moved around the edge of the pool towards the two of them. The second hesitated, before following after. "These two have been hanging around here a lot. The female," they gave a small nod to the smaller one, "is actually a bit more trusting, but the male won't leave without her either way." Sage told Finch quietly. "As long as you don't make any super sudden movements or loud noises that startle her, they'll hang around a bit."

Again she laughed quietly. "I'm not quite sure that's how that works, Drake." She pointed out. "If you want to settle on an age, stick with eleven or twelve, seeing as how that's how old I would be considered if I lived among my own kind, and it's how my family treats me."
