Dr. Thato Ntuli
30 / asexual / South African / astral projection / biology professor
"Sterling and Desmond. Nice to meet the both of you," he said.
He was somewhat startled when Betz came up behind him, and he turned to let her into the conversation. He frowned when she called him "Mister." Dr. Ntuli was very tolerant of most things, and he was generally an easy-going person, but one thing he couldn't stand was being called "Mister" instead of "Doctor." It was an issue of pride for him as he had worked hard to get his degree, struggling to get good enough grades to get scholarships as well as fighting disapproval from his parents who would have rather seen him take up some other profession. He wasn't about to let his achievements be undermined by anyone.
"Ah, ah, ah," he said, "It's 'Doctor' not 'Mister.' But since it's the first day, I'll give you a pass, eh?"
He smiled, quickly masking his displeasure behind a joke. He checked his watch.
"We're supposed to leave in about ten minutes," he said.
He looked up at the growing group of students gathering around the bus.
"Ok, everyone, if you would find a seat on the bus then we can get going faster once the others arrive," he called.
Elen Anda
19 / bisexual / Norwegian / electromagnetic field generation
Elen laughed.
"It certainly would be interesting to try, though I'm not exactly sure how that would work," she said.
Before long she could see the bus and the growing crowd of students in front of the student center. She grinned and resisted the urge to break out into a run towards the group.
"This is going to be so fun," she said, bouncing a little as she walked, unable to contain herself.
Elen was easily excited by a lot of things, having never quite lost her child-like thirst for adventure. Even though mountains for her were nothing very special, she still loved being able to commune with nature.
"I haven't been on a hike in so long," she continued, "and I've never hiked in mountains this huge before. The Alps are twice as big as the mountains in Norway."
She waved to the group as they approached them.
