Wolf's Symphony could you please change the color of the text in your form? I can't read parts of it because it's too bright.
So the consensus seems to be that Adventure Week is a go! Alright people let's do this.)
Dr. Thato Ntuli
30 / asexual / South African / astral projection / biology professor
Switzerland was very different from South Africa. Dr. Ntuli had traveled all over the world for research and pleasure, but he'd never been anywhere like this. It was strange to look outside the window of his faculty apartment and see snow and mountains on all sides, boxing them in. It was a bit claustrophobic, especially since he was used to the relative flatness of his home country, but it was a nice change of pace, and certainly the mountains protected them from prying eyes. He also appreciated how green everything was, though that was sure to change come winter. But who knows? He might even learn to like it.
However, today was not the day to sit around and watch the sunrise. Most students had already arrived on campus and moved into the dorms, and now it was time for orientation to begin in earnest, and there was a lot of ground to cover. First, however, the university though it would be a good idea to get the students together for some bonding and team building activities so everyone could get to know each other. A sort of "adventure weekend" had been organized that would take the students into the mountains for camping and hiking down in the lower elevations. Dr. Ntuli had volunteered to go with the group so he could see more of the mountains. Hopefully it would be fun. He was eager to meet all the people he'd soon be calling his students, even if some of them wouldn't go on to major in biology.
He checked his watch. Everyone had been instructed to meet in front of the student center where a bus would be waiting for them. He figured he would get there a bit early. He grabbed his duffle bag, zipped up his jacket, and headed out. When he arrived he saw the bus idling in the parking lot, its bus driver standing outside.
"Good morning!" he called, "Bit chilly out today, eh?"
"Chilly? Sir, this is the warmest it gets for fall!" the bus driver laughed, "It's almost ten degrees!*"
Dr. Ntuli laughed.
"Is it? You'll have to forgive me. I'm used to it being just a tad warmer this time of year," he said.
Around twenty degrees** warmer, in fact. He wasn't sure how he was going to survive the winter.
*50 degrees F
** 80-90 degrees F
Elen Anda
19 / bisexual / Norwegian / electromagnetic field generation
Elen was extremely excited for adventure weekend. She'd grown up around mountains and fjords, of course, but they weren't nearly as tall as the Alps. She was looking forward to explore a place that was very similar to where she grew up, but foreign at the same time. She was also looking forward to getting to know everyone. She'd never been around this many fellow augments before, and it was amazing to her that there were so many people like her from around the world.
She finished packing water and a light jacket into her backpack and looked over to her roommate's side of the room to make sure they were up.
"Avery, are you ready to go? We're supposed to meet in front of the student center in five minutes," she said, "I checked the weather on my phone and it's supposed to be really nice out today."
