With a whoop, she neared the lake and watched the geese on the lake fly away frightened by the thundering hoof beats. "Almost there. One more lap!" River called, not looking over her shoulder this time.

Maddox was silent as he saddlled up Kairos's horse. Once finished, he dipped his head, and went back to brushing another horse. He would usually speak, but it's too early for that. Maddox yawned, and the horse whinnied in response.

william rolled his eyes so hard he swore he could see the back of his head. " don't deny it, kitty. there was the 'kitty' again. he couldn't go long without calling her by this special nickname he had for her. " i could see it in your eyes. " this was true, he could read her as if they were an open book. perhaps the eyes really were the window to soul, or at least kimi's soul. the dark-haired prince walked fairly fast, and his pace only quickened. although, when the maid told him to slow down, he obliged.. a little. his pace was slower, but not by that much. but it didn't matter much because only a mere second passed after he slowed his pace before he heard a small yelp come from kimi. she tripped. he whirled around quickly, catching her mid-fall by wrapping his arms around her tiny waist. their faces were close yet again; maybe even closer than they were just a couple minutes ago. he grinned, arching an eyebrow at her. " you should really be careful. i don't know what i- we would do without you around. " he stood up slowly, which allowed for kimi to regain her balance. he realized quickly that he was hugging her more than he was actually breaking her fall. he gasped, releasing his arms from her waist and stepping back. he rubbed the back of his neck, whispering an apology. " s-sorry.. "

It was a nice day to be out and about collecting medicinal herbs and since it was summer the lake was filled with lily pads and coontail, very useful for effective medicine. Maybe she could even have a swim while she was at it, well she needed to get into the lake to collect the lily pads. She walked through the castle grounds across to the lake where she took off her shoes and coat that all castle doctors were required to wear. She was about to jump in when she heard the beating of hooves on the ground and familiar voices coming from ahead. The sound of the hooves scared the geese swimming in the lake, "That could only be one of the royals..." she mumbled giving a sigh. She slipped into the lake wading in further to grab some of the lilypads. Although this was a struggle for Lucia since she was quite small for her age, a small petite and slender girl. She pulled a lily pad towards her putting it in the pouch slung around her back. Just thinking of all the things she could do with the spatterdock made her hungry. The leaves could be used for soups and stews, the seeds could be dried and ground into flour, and the flowers could be used for tea. She looked up to see that River was on top of her horse waiting for a her brother, Kairos. How would she explain why she was in the lake to the two.

⚜ Aiyana Havelock

The youngest Havelock daughter crept silently through the castle. She was being careful not to make a peep as any amount of noise would alert her teacher to her whereabouts. Her personal professor would have started her school right about now but Aiyana would not have it! She found school rather boring and she had decided to skip class today.
Aiyana snuck stealthily out if the castle and fast walked down towards the stables where she would hopefully be safe. She had to be wary of her older siblings too for they would most likely force her go back to her teacher. When the girl finally reached the stables she nearly freaked out at the sight of River and Kairos on their horses. She sighed in relief when she realized they had not seen her. She then slipped quietly into the stables and ran right into the stable hand, Maddox. The horse he was brushing snorted in annoyance and Aiyana backed away from the male and looked up at him.
"Oh! Hello Maddox! Heh... Sorry , I didn't see you there." She said with a slightly embarrassed smile.

"Hey kid... It's fine." He said, with a small smile. "How are you?" He asked, looking down and his smile didn't falter. "Wait a second...Shouldn't you be inside?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at the girl. "I don't want any of your siblings blaming me for keeping you out here." Maddox stated, turning back towards the horse.

Cyella sighed and stretched out in bed. The back of her eyelids were red, so when she opened her eyes, she saw the strips of light seeping through the curtains of her bedroom window... Suddenly everything rushed back to her and she remembered where she was. "Oh my God!" She gasped. The castle! The maid cursed herself before jumping out of bed and racing to her closet. She dressed herself as quickly as possible. Before leaving her room, she stood herself in the mirror, checking how presentable she was. Her hands combed through her waxy, brunette hair, untangling the strands of her hair from their traps. When they was all free- or as free as the were going to get- she tied her hood around her neck and dashed out of her chambers. Cyella quickly grabbed a basket and began gathering the laundry from around the rooms. When she was finished, she dropped them off in the washroom, and headed to the stables to make sure there were no blankets or souls to attend to. Upon arriving, the maid quietly opened the doors to the stables and walked in. "Hello?" Cyella spoke just loud enough to be heard.

By about four o'clock in the morning, Griffyn was just riding back into the stables on his friesian horse, Pitch. He quietly walked the horse into the Stables. With a graceful movement, he easily dismounted Pitch and gently led him back to his pin. Once the horse was secure, Griffyn stroked his steed. "You did a good job today, boy." He smiled before reaching for a burlap sack and tossing it into the pin, unleashing over a dozen apples. The prince headed tiredly to his chambers. By the time he had laid down in the bed, thirty minutes had passed and he fell asleep immediately. His dream slate washed clean from exhaustion.

"I'm good. How are you?" She inquired. Maddox's question caught her off guard a bit. Did he know where she was supposed to be? She paused before shaking her head. "No, it's not like I'm doing anything... I was actually wondering if I could help you with anything." Aiyana said with a smile. At the sound of a female voice she turned her head and saw Cyella. Her eyes widened and she turned and ran up to the young woman and attacked her with a hug. "Cyella!" She exclaimed gleefully.

"Oh. Good morning Cyella." Maddox called over his shoulder, turning and blinking. "Someone's up a little late." He teased, smirking. "There's some dirty blankets in the corner, if you don't mind picking them up." Maddox said, politely, and went onto brushing the next horse. "Thank you." He added, looking over his shoulder and smiling.

The maid staggered back a moment when the young girl tackled her in an embrace and Cyella grinned ear to ear. She always loved seeing Aiyana due to her sweetness. "Hey girly! How are you? The girl tilted her head in genuine concern. "Sorry I'm late Maddox.. I overslept.." She ran a hand through her hair. The maid looked over at the pile of blanket that needed attending to. She wasn't used to much attention and her cheeks reddened when Maddox thanked her.

kairosa small chuckle of amusement escaped kairos as his sister sped ahead once more. she was so full of energy that she almost served as a reminder to kairos that enjoying life aside from his duties as the eldest son was important, too. "i can see perfectly fine, sister. after all, i am your older brother and taller," he teased, urging his mare to follow river as they rounded the lake. once river slowed, kairos came to a halt beside her. out of the corner of his blue-green eyes, he caught sight of a head of blonde hair nearby. waving at who he recognized was the castle doctor, lucia, kairos greeted her with a warm smile, "good morning, lucia." tilting his head slightly, causing his chestnut brown hair to scatter, he asked, "might i ask what you're doing here at the lake?" of course, she was free to go where she pleased. kairos didn't mind, and he respected each of the castle staff members an individual.

kimikoif will could read her so easily, then what else could he figure out about her? perhaps he knew things about the maid that even she didn't know. after all, her thoughts were always about the havelocks rather than herself. it wouldn't be surprising. knowing each other since they were children since kimi's father had been a baker in the castle certainly gave william plenty of time to get to know kimiko.

kimikokimi's eyes squeezed shut as she thought she was about to hit the ground. how embarrassing! right in front of will, too, and there'd likely be no end to him teasing about how clumsy she had been. when she felt no impact and instead strong arms around her middle, she hesitantly blinked her dark pink eyes open only to find herself gazing right into will's eyes. had they always been such a charming shade of blue-gray? or had she just not taken notice? what was she thinking? her own thoughts and their proximity, which seemed to be even closer than before, caused kimiko's face to redden drastically. her mouth gaped open slightly in surprise at the situation, unsure of what to do with even herself. "w-will..." she muttered feebly, incapable of finding any other words to say. "... thank you. n-no, i'm sorry. it was my bad," she quietly added as he allowed her to stand on her own before letting her go. a hand held up to her cheek as she averted her gaze from the prince, she attempted to laugh off her awkwardness by saying, "w-were you just about say that you wouldn't know what to do without me, you royal pain?" she offered a cheeky smile and continued, "it's okay, will. i know you can't even tie your shoes by yourself," kimi giggled and winked at the male. hoping to let their little encounter slide, kimi nodded her head down the halls where they would find the private dining room, "are you still up for breakfast? if you want to eat cake, you're going to have to wait for the cook to go on their break. i get yelled at for stuffing you all with sweets," she commented with a small mischievous smile.
