Our world has proven itself to be very, very, very eccentric multiple times throughout history. Mankind, however, explains that causes of these odd and strange events and people with science, witchcraft, and even deities they've invented with their imagination. While most are caused by these things, there are still plenty of events too queer to explain.

In our little blue space rock, their are creatures that are abnormal and hide within the shadows. We label them as monsters, treat them like monsters, and slay them like monsters. An organization that has been around for most of human history keeps the monsters in their place below mankind. This, however, is about to change. As more unexplained events occur, humans are slowly beginning to realize their sins at keeping a wondrous world hidden. It is up to the next generation of monsters and hunters to see if the hidden world is revealed or not...

Hunters have been around for several centuries and severed as the "guardians" of mankind from the world of monsters. Acting like watchdogs, they patrol and hunt down monsters who try to let their real selves out. They're trained to be top fighters and assassins due to how they do not posses powers while some monsters do. The Hunters have a strict pure-blood human policy so no hybrids are allowed. Sex, race (not species!), religion, sexuality, and nationality do not affect one's chances at being part of the Hunters as they only have one mission: Secure humanity, suppress the scum [monsters], and sever punishment to both humans and scum [monsters] who try to destroy the secrecy.

Most members are young have have been trained from a young age. They all have their own talent that makes them important and special. These talents can range from being stronger than the average person (Not hulk strong!), having a excellent memory, or even being able to sense monsters. Either way, they are treated well, aren't abused into training or hunting, and brainwashed in a sense. Hunters are merciless towards the scum, but this could easily change with the new generation who have been assigned to capture their first monster....

Monsters. Hearing the word is just enough to bring in the images of blood thirsty, wort covered, deadly and mindless black skinned beasts. This, however, isn't what they really are. Irony plays its part well in this story as monsters were far more docile than humans. To add on to that, most live in fear or anger that is suppressed by intelligence. If you slip up, you and your whole family could easily disappear.

Monsters are very protective of not only their family, but their community as well. If something is seen that isn't normal, it's a matter of hours before the whole community knows about it. This makes hunting them a bit tricky.

Species range, but all have human form whether it is another form they can shift into or the aid of magic. Magic users, especially witches, are seen as saviors as they can create potions that can grant monsters who can not shift a human form. Humans having relationships with monsters isn't uncommon and has been growing greatly in recent years. This has angered the Hunters as they see this as a corrupted disaster.

The Hunters have a special ritual when it comes to making their apprentices official members. Each apprentice is paired with a monster on the Hunter's capture list. This monster is around the same age and in the same area that the apprentice lives in. These monster are not to be killed unless they prove to be too dangerous or tricky for capture. If the monster is killed, however, the apprentice is given another chance to prove themselves, but must wait another year for the next Fresh Hunt. Those who fail are frown upon by the Hunters.

There is a time limit of three months. There are no excuses if one does not complete the mission within that time period. Those who bring in their assigned monster before the the first month are given great honor. The record for this is seven days, which all apprentices dream of beating. Of course this mission is hard for beginners so most usually come no where close to this record.

When a monster is brought in, they are usually never seen again. No one knows what truly happens to them, but all know not to give pity to their assigned monster....

There is only three rules to this mission: Complete it in time, do not sabotage other's trials, and do not betray us in the end...
