The camp was quiet for a while; people lay down to sleep or just rest their tired bodies. Too soon, the peace was disrupted. It all happened in an instant. Black mist-like fog consuming everything. Kaoru yelling. Seiji's entire body went stiff, ringing sounding in his ears. His eyes watered, not like he was crying, but more as if he was in pain. And he was. His ribs felt too tight for his body, and the entire world shifted to one side when it should have been straight. He steadied himself against a tree. Hissing out a breath. And then, that was it. People had flooded into the camp and he stopped. Momo.

Where was he? He was out collecting wood and- he was there. A surge of happiness took hold of him, but it was short lived. Chains. He wasn't safe. In place of the happiness, he felt an anger he had never felt before. And overwhelming feeling of keep him safe even if it kills you. He shuddered, hand gripping at the weapon on his hip. He should have known something was wrong then, the ringing in his ear still. His body felt too light. His eyes focused too well. He could think too clearly, and at the same time his thoughts were jumbled. Instead, he moved.

The newly sharpened and hardly used sword in his hand slammed into the side of someone's head, who had tried to grab him from behind a tree. A stinging pain emerged from his shoulder, but he brushed it off. It didn't matter at the moment. Not while everyone else was in danger. Not while there was a danger around him. Before he knew it, he wasn't in his own body anymore. No, he was in it, just not in control of it. His limbs moved too quickly to be his own. Too precise, too non-human. His eyes were a brighter blue.

The demon. Don't worry, Seiji. I am only here to help. That was it. Done. Seiji couldn't compete with the demon then. Wounds were slashed into each person attempting to grab at the demon. Something was off. The blood was flowing out of their shallow wounds in copious amounts. That wasn't possible. But his hand was outstretched, literally pulling the blood from their bodies. It simply pooled at the forest floor, and then they were gone. Possibly dead. Seiji couldn't bring himself to care. His body moved to Momo who was on the ground. Seiji crouched next to Momo, hands shaking at he examined the chains. His back was turned to the leader of the attackers, but he didn't care. The anger melted and overwhelming, icy fear took ahold of him. He couldn't save him. He couldn't save anyone. Don't back out now. We were just getting to the good part," the demon cackled directly into his mind. He was pushed from his mind, remember that part of the deal was for the demon to take his place if he seemed weak. So, Seiji let him.

As soon as everything erupted into fighting and black mist everywhere, Matsu shivered and backed into the darkness, crouched next to a tree. His brown eyes were wide and scared as he attempted to make himself as small as possible. He saw the leader, Kaoru, go down. The small creature's body emerged from the shadows and he called out to the redhead, his eyes darting to the other pale being with red eyes. Matsu wanted to curl up somewhere safe, like he could when he would get home from an especially bad day at school. His mother would hold him and tell him everything would be okay, even if it wouldn't be.

"Please stop," he all but whispered, his entire body frozen in place. What could he do. Nothing, absolutely nothing. This was the worst case scenario. It was worse than being called names and running home to his mother. It was worse than being surrounded on each side by bullies, who demanded he gives them money or buys them food. Or to do their homework. No, it was much worse. He could lose his life. He could die, right here, with everyone else. He would never be able to see his family again. S-sir, why are you... hurting them?" he asked to the white-haired man who had knocked down Kaoru. Oh. These must be the bad people. Stop, don't talk to him. Run. His mind screamed, but he was frozen in place. He felt the warm stinging of tears rolling down his face. You're crying, like always. His mind yelled. Where was the lovely angel at when he needed her? He needed her calming voice, so much like his mothers, to calm him down. To help him as much as she could. But no, he was alone. Just like old times. He stared at the man like he was the worst imaginable nightmare come to life. And maybe he was.

Taiga had flown quite far but he hadn't noticed the fog, he was too captivated by the view he had missed for so long before he was suddenly brought back to reality after hearing Souchi's caws from the distance, they didn't seem like he was giving a dire call but if it meant Asami was troubled or in danger he had swore to himself that he would be there. He soon found himself doing a 180 turn and flying back towards the camp, he wasn't too sure where the camp was as he had been drifting off into his own world for a while but from Souchi's calls he was able to at least find a general area of where it was.

He was gliding through the night sky quite happily, there were some flickering lights that had come from the camp, catching Taiga's eye. As he flew lower he had suddenly spotted it, the unearthly black fog that was seeping through the forest and inside he could spot small amounts of movement What is this? he questioned himself, Souchi hadn't called him for a dire situation but this seemed pretty dire to him. He flapped his black wings, allowing him to stay stable in the air as he scanned the camp for Asami, he wanted to be sure that she was okay but his eyes were blinded by the rising fog Damn I got too close. Taiga thought, shaking his head in an attempt to rid himself of the blindness but it only made him more helpless as he began to fall from the sky, losing all of his coordination which caused him to lose his transformation abilities.
He hit the ground with a loud thud, the height at which he had fell at gave him concussion and he almost immediately lost consciousness, "A..sam..i.." he whispered before he had the feeling of being dragged and all consciousness was lost.

Hiroki heard Kaoru's shout, he looked around to see the sleepy campers before his eyes shot towards the heavy fog that was immersing the camp, he gave a blank expression to the predicament before he saw the figures in the fog that soon became more prominent but instead of quivering in fear, a shiver of excitement ran down his spine as he found himself clapping his hands delightfully. His time with cotton candy head had been cut short but it had been replaced with something that, in Hiroki's opinion could be counted as much more 'fun' and he couldn't help but laugh when he had noticed that the groups beloved leader had been captured, wrapped in tight chains "This is simply wonderful." he smirked, edging slightly closer to the fog to get a better look at the soldiers that were descending upon the camp.

With Hiroki's teleportation power it wouldn't have been hard to escape the scene and maybe save a few of the group members but he was too selfish to miss out on such exquisite opportunity that he had encountered What a shame it is I can't partake. But at least I can watch the proceedings. he had thought to himself, quite interested in what would happen to the group after they were all captured, watching them squirm and struggle was entertaining in itself though.

Instead of putting up a fight against the oncoming forces or saving himself as he would usually do in such a situation, Hiro happily skipped towards one of the soldiers gaily and held his hands out voluntarily "Come on now, don't be shy." he giggled, winking at the shadowy character before he blew a cheeky kiss towards him "Tie me up real good and extra tight or I might get a little tricky with ya." Hiro cooed, smiling widely. His wide smile was friendly but it was obvious that he wasn't, making it as scary as the shadowy camp intruders as his hands were soon bound by the cold chains that were wrapped around consecutive times "Hey you cheeky devil. You coulda' warmed them up for me, such bad customer service with you people." he complained playfully as he obediently followed the soldier.

Rei didn't feel like talking to anyone at all, so he didn't. He felt tired, but he fought against it and stayed awake. The boiling anger was fading to a lukewarm anger, there, but not. Now he felt more depressed, if anything. He really didn't expect Momo to be so unbelievably rude. Why did you think Kaoru left you? Because he never loved you to begin with. He realized this after attending a new school, and becoming close friends with me. Rei narrowed his eyes. Left him.. Kaoru didn't leave him, right? He did miss him, right? Kaoru was.. Rei's only friend. Only friend. But considering Kaoru's position in school, he probably was paid to even talk to someone like Rei. Momo was right.

Kaoru never even liked him.

Rei ran a hand through his hair idly. From the outside, he looked laid back and relaxed as always. Yet on the inside he felt like he was slowly crumbling apart. He hadn't ever considered a relationship, with anyone. He thought he was aromantic for the longest time, but then, he had.. Felt affection. And that affection was towards Kaoru. Kaoru made him feel different, didn't he..

Rei was completely snapped from his state of being lost in thought when he heard a shout, that sounded distant for a second before coming to clarity. "EVRYONE UP NOW!" Rei weakly obliged, he was pretty tired. He thought he was seeing things when he finally caught sight of the inky black shadows, maybe even dreaming. His thoughts of it being a stimulation gradually faded away.

He blinked a little as Momo's body was in the end revealed. He was a bit shocked at first, but the shock was quickly replaced by a feeling considered sick. Oh my god, was I just happy? "You have a nice group here. I expected it to be bigger honestly, but at least I over esitimated than under estimated." The new face licked his lips of all things. "And, here is our Rebellion's great leader!" Momo fell to the ground, and Rei worriedly glanced at him. "Kaoru Yuu!" The bastard began to clap. "I applaud you all. For following him to your doom." Rei shifted a little, wanting desperately to simply tune out everything which he eventually did, replaced by a steady ringing in his ears. He could use his power on himself, too.. That was new. He still watched, watching like he had simply muted the whole thing for himself. Yet, when chains wrapped around Kaoru, the ringing flickered and stopped. Did Kaoru just..?

"You are pitful." He sat down, of all things, looking incredibly cocky. "Get them all." Came the pale man's snaky whisper. Yet Rei didn't move. I don't have the drive to really run. Is that bad? Murmured his mind, as he lowered his gaze and stared at the ground.

To hell what's happening. Might as well let it happen.

Asami looked around, blinking softly as her heart rate slowed to a normal pace and tears slowly stopped falling from her eyes. Chuckling a bit at her own stupidity at crying over a dream, she wondered why it had felt so intense. Why it had felt so real... Taiga wasn't near her, but the blanket he had been sitting on was now on top of her, Souchi seeming to stand guard next to her. "Are you watching over me, Souchi? Thank yo-!" she was cut off when Kaoru's tell pierced through the night air, and she was immediately scrambling to her feet, purple as wide as she snagged her bag and ran towards him. Someone grabbed at her from behind, and they merely grabbed her coat as she was luckily snaked her way out of it. Running towards Kaoru, she listened to the man speak but she couldn't get over his eyes. They were red.

He spoke lies about Kaoru, but he had to be lying! "You! You're wrong." she growled, pulling out three cards from her deck as she tried to shoot at Seikai with lightning. "Everyone, retreat into the tree line!" Asami called that back at her friends before turning back to face him. "You will leave these people alone!" she all but ordered, more cards at the ready as she seemed to be terribly outnumbered. This was awful! They... no. She couldn't believe that her predictions were coming true. She had foreseen this, and it was all her fault. Coughing, she staggered, her vision blurring in and out as she tried to stand on two feet. Hearing a soft but faint voice somewhere behind her, she could have sworn it was him. "T-Taiga!" she gasped out, becoming delirious from the smoke as she almost dropped her cards. She was in no condition to fight, yet still she stood, clenching her tarot cards until her hands turned white.

He's in it for the lulz.
Regarding timing, I was mainly referring to the slow pace between AsamixTaiga (because slow paces seem somehow more romantic so that's what I felt it was like). teehee.
