"Rabbits are nice and cute." she replies, and she had to think for a moment before she replied to Soetsu again. "Be ready for my bad jokes then, ok? I'll be here to make you laugh." she smiles and looks to Soetsu, trying to think of a good or bad joke to tell. Her mind rushed as she searched for elementary school jokes and middle school jokes. Those ones are bad. Finally, she remembered one, and smiled as she did.

"What kind of pictures to turtles take? Shellfies." she giggled, her mind going into full bad joke mode. Bad jokes. Her specialty. She smiled and looked towards Soetsu after she told her bad joke. "Yeah.. I'm sorry. My jokes are terrible haha." she apologizes, though still laughing at her own joke.

Asami grinned, but worry for him still shone in her eyes as she walked alongside him, not wanting slow down for fearing that they might draw attention to themselves. She looked to the slightly-taller male as he took effect extended handkerchief, a feeling of relief washing over her for some reason. Chuckling slightly, she continued to smile as her purple orbs darted to look ahead of them. "Did you not notice you were bleeding? I do that too sometimes." she said, pulling her bag over so she could pull out a few of her tarot cards, fumbling around her bag as she tried to look for specific ones. Normally the right ones just came to her hand, but her brain jumbled and flustered out of embarrassment and she just had to find the cards manually.

When Taiga apologized about being more of a burden to her, Asami immediately waved him off, a small smile on her face as she finally found the cards that she was looking for. "Oh, don't worry about it!" quickly rolled off her tongue. "You could never be a burden to me... And besides, the one great thing about my powers is that they're versatile." Showing him the three cards she had, they were in consecutive order - right-side up sickness card, right-side up lovers' card, and upside down sadness card. A glow came from her opposite hand as she shuffled them together, and in between the card appeared another handkerchief, which she also offered to Taiga. "There's definitely more where that came from - one of the reasons why I am beta is because of the strength and versatility of my abilities." Asami didn't often show off, but she wanted to show Taiga that he wasn't being a burden to her - he could never make her feel that way about him.

Taiga finished wiping the rest of the blood that had been planted on his upper lip, he let out a small laugh at Asami's words, realising they both shared the same obliviousness when it came to bleeding. He pushed the used handkerchief into his pocket, he didn't think it was necessary to return such a dirtied rag back to her after she had given him courtesy.

He watched as she fumbled around in her own bag, he was slightly curious about what she was looking for until she pulled out some cards. He had never really understood tarot cards himself but by the way she used them Taiga had the feeling that she could easily handle herself and it honestly made him happy although he didn't fully express the feeling.
Taiga was admittedly impressed by Asami's skill, he understood that she was chosen as the beta because she was not only strong in her physical strength but also there was something that pushed her mentally, whether it was good or bad, he was just glad he got to see some of her other sides.

Taiga raised one of his cheeks to give a wonky smile as he took the second handkerchief "I'm glad you can take care of yourself." he said, his eyes softened as he reached out with his spare hand and patted her on the head, he had become accustomed to the feel of her silky brown hair "I just...don't want to see you get scolded by Kaoru again..." he murmured quietly, unsure of what he was saying to her but at the same time there was something making the words come out.

At Momo's words, Seiji's face lit up again. He rubbed his hands over his face, shaking his head. "Oh my god, Momo." He laughed a little, pulling his hands from his face. Again, following Seiji's answer, he kept quiet and a peaceful quiet hung over them.

Momo was the one to break the quiet, the blonde's skin prickling at his words. "Oh? About what?" He asked, glad the heat disappeared from his face. The cool breeze probably helped with that, as well as the fact that he excepted Momo had just kissed him. He almost groaned aloud at the thought, though he kept himself quiet and turned his head to look at the redhead. "I hope your thoughts aren't too terrible," he hummed, stepping over a log that lay lightly in the way of his walking.

He waited for Momo to speak, however. His thoughts already intrigued Seiji simply just by the way he phrased his words. 'Left alone with his thoughts?' he thought, brow furrowing slightly. That didn't sound good, especially after they'd just kissed. A small blush crept up his neck, but he forced the red down. His eyes traveled to look around the forest, taking in the greens and browns. Once they were done with the mission, it was back to buildings around them and hardly any living beings beside humans - and more so those who had made contracts with demons or angels.

Asami did register pain - it was just slow. She was grateful for it on occasion, but most f the time it sucked. Especially since she burned her hands a lot when attempting to cook, and she'd feel it later but never right away. She felt his eyes on her as she messed with her bag to put her cards away as well, and her face turned a light pink as he showed her that goofy smile. ... That's adorable. she thought silently, feeling even more heat rise to her cheeks as he patted her head.

When he spoke, his voice was quiet, although she didn't have to strain to hear him or anything. Still, she looked to him with a little bit of a cocky smirk before she chuckled. "While I do really appreciate the concern, he did say that I had to walk to the back of the group, but he never said that somebody couldn't walk with me." Asami said, pointing out a rather obvious flaw to Kaoru's orders. "Would you, ah..." she stuttered over her words. "Would you care to walk with me?"

Taiga was taken aback by Asami's sudden moment of rebellion, he had to admit that her idea was quite smart, he himself probably wouldn't have come up with it easily so he found himself being once again impressed by her.
Still fighting his conflicting feelings towards wanting to accept her invitation in order to spend more time with her and rejecting so she didn't have to deal with Kaoru's rantings again. At that moment he felt Souchi's presence in his head, which was not something he often felt due to the bird lack of thoughts worth sharing Go on Taiga, just man up and accept the invitation you idiot. the crow said, somehow the bird knew more about Taiga's feelings than he himself did and he wanted to help the boy, he felt some form of connection between the two.
He took a moment to look at the sky before looking back at Asami, his conflicted feelings had resolved the problem "I'd be happy to join you." he answered confidently, trusting Souchi's decision.
