Kaoru' xD }As Asami walked, her mind remained blank. There wasn't a lot that she really wanted to think about at the moment either, so she simply observed grouply interactions from the back as they walked. Maybe... Maybe the reason why she learned everyone's names was because she felt so distanced from everyone. It was necessary, Kaoru had said, to not become too attached, but slowly Asami began to realize that she hasn't exactly wanted what she was given. A position of power was nice, but the closest thing she had to friends was Momo and Kaoru, and sometimes she didn't even know what to call them. Sighing, it was at times like these where she wondered if being a part of the rebellion was really what she wanted. Of course, it was only a momentary lapse. Of course, she would always have to remember her main goal - why she became contracted to a demon in the first place... 'Revenge...' she thought silently, her face growing slightly darker as she looked away from the group, glaring at the ground.
"You wanna avenge your old man?" he said with a grin, wings spread out as his horns glinted in the dim moonlight. "There's a small rebellion growing there for people like who you could be - those contracted. Make a contract with me, and you'll become strong. Strong enough to gain a position of power. From there, you'll easily get your revenge. Promise."
She scoffed. That seemed like so long ago that she forgot about her promise sometimes. But still, she would never give up on her quest for revenge. Was that what Kaoru meant by 'not letting distractions get in' her way? She couldn't be sure. Was Taiga a distraction...? No, she refused to think like that. He wasn't a distraction - he was a... what exactly was he go her? Her train of thought paused, and she almost stopped walked, but it was only a brief pause before she continued. She... she couldn't exactly say. At least, she would wait to tell herself that she had, possible, maybe, fallen for him.
