Kaoru wiped his face, hearing no reply from Rei. Suddenly, he jumped a little. "Damn it, too early." The voice came from somewhere around him, but where? The room was dark, almost pitch dark. He sighed, waiting a few moments till his eyes began to adjust well enough to the dark so that he could at least somewhat see the room. Kaoru listened closely to the dead silence, seeing if he could any other noises. Eventually, in-between the creaks and noises from outside, he heard slight sleeping noises. Steady and calm breathing. Kaoru followed the noise, leaning onto the bed. His eyes then caught sight of a lump in the bed. It was Rei.

A wave of relief washed over him. Rei was here. Rei was with him. He thought he had never felt so thankful for his friend, but in that moment. Perhaps it was because of the dream? Or maybe...or maybe... Kaoru smiled, as he leaned down towards his friend. For some odd reason, he wanted to touch him. Kaoru froze, Did I just think, to, touch him? Kaoru pulled back, scolding himself. But, the more he thought about it, the more he wanted to. He wanted to hold Rei. He wanted to touch his hair, and- Kaoru stopped himself yet again. But either way, he had to do something. He couldn't hold back any longer.

He looked down at Rei, who was sleeping soundly. Suddenly, a smile appeared on Kaoru's face. He chuckled a bit, reaching out his hand. He gently touched his friends cheek, before resting his head against his. "Rei. You're such an idiot." He muttered. Yet, he loved his friend.

Love. Did I just think Love again.

Its just a friendly love. I love him as my best friend... Kaoru's eyes opened, and he moved away from Rei. But was that true? Kaoru wouldn't admit it, he couldn't be honest with himself. He suddenly thought of what would happen if he lost Rei. Not again. If that happened, if he lost Rei again, he couldn't go on. The Rebellion would do nothing for him. What was the real reason he ran The Rebellion? as sanctuary for 'special' ones. Right? But what was really his drive...He was lifeless before Rei and him were re-united. And, to be honest, he was on the verge of...death. He was once at such a dark place. Now, because of Rei, he had a reason to live. Someone to live for. Love. Kaoru repeated over and over again in his mind. He once heard, that if you were really true in love with someone, you wouldn't be able to live without them. You would be willing to give your life for theirs. And, when it came down to it, Kaoru would die for Rei. Love. Rei. Kaoru jerked his head upwards, as his eyes widened. Do, I love Rei?

No. Its not natural. Right. Not natural. Kaoru wrestled with himself. Knowing the truth. I love Rei. As, a lover. At that moment, when the thought appeared in his mind, Kaoru couldn't push it away, like he had done in the past. The truth was too strong, too vibrant. It was there, right in front of him. All this time. Kaoru chuckled, wiping his face. "God, I'm such an idiot." He muttered. Took me long enough to see. Kaoru turned to look down at his friend. He felt like smiling, and like, embracing-
A dangerous and threatening thought entered his mind. Rei must feel differently... Kaoru's smile faded. Rei doesn't 'love' my like that. I mean, look at him. Kaoru sighed, And, whats wrong with that? He probably likes...Riko? Asami?? Girls. Kaoru turned away, trying to hide his expression of disapointment. No matter what. I will support him. I love him. Kaoru smiled a bit, feeling his fill up with water. I'm not afraid to think it anymore. I can at least think it. I love him. He wiped his eyes, And, I'm not crying. I'm just...happy... Kaoru lied down, resting his head on the soft white pillow. His back to Rei. Tears continued to run down his face, while Kaoru began to fall asleep, with a smile on his face.

I love you Rei. No matter what. I will always love you. I will protect you. And, I will never let anyone take you away from me again. Ever.

Kaoru was well aware that this may always be a distant love. That Rei would love someone else, and Kaoru would always remain but a friend. But, as long as Rei is happy. He would be happy. Kaoru couldn't love anyone else, because, Kaoru loves, Rei.

Momo's head lifted upon hearing Seiji enter the room, and exit the shower. He was reading the newspaper, specifically the weather section. It seemed that not tomorrow night, but the night after, the night they were supposed to arrive at the warehouse, it was going to rain. Or at least, expected to rain. Sixty percent chance. Momo then questioned the reason for him tagging along with the group. Originally, his plans were to deliver information to Kaoru personally, considering they didn't want to use cell phones for this mission and near the city. But, Momo decided he would join on their little trip. After all, he had missed Kaoru's company, and the group was quite an exciting one.

The red haired boy heard Seiji speak once again, and turned to see him waiting at the door. He quickly scrambled to get up, catching his leg on the bed. The boy face planted into the ground, quickly getting back to his feet. He laughed nervously. "I'm fine! Lets go!" Momo came to a stop, upon hearing Seiji remind him of the keys. He had almost forgotten, and if he had, they wouldn't of gotten back in. At all. Momo smiled, turning back to the room. He quickly grabbed hold of the keys, which he had left on the bed, and then burst out of the room. "Foooodd!" He shouted.

Once they had gotten their dinner, and gotten back into their room, Momo took a seat on his bed. "Hey Seiji. Question, what is The Rebellion like now and days?" He gently stabbed a piece of his bread, before closing his mouth around the fork. Humming to himself, enjoying the food, he turned to make eye contact with Seiji. "I've only been there once honestly. At the very beginning." He muttered, turning back towards his food. "And, god, Kaoru sure has changed." He sighed, leaning back against the wall behind him.

The two were near silent as they made their way to get food, which Seiji didn't both with. He grabbed a piece of bread, but otherwise he wasn't all that hungry. He opted to lay on the ground, on his back, and look around the room from his vantage point. He turned his attention to Momo, however, when he began to speak.

He sat up, hands behind him on the ground to support him. "Huh? Oh, well... I don't really know. From what I know, everyone is pretty nice to each other. I'm not really acquainted with a lot of them..." He shrugged, ripping off a small piece of his bread. Blue eyes remained on Momo as Seiji thought for a moment. He internally debated on asking, but opted to anyways.

"What was the Rebellion like before?" He leaned his head back, staring up at the ceiling. "I didn't join until over half the people in it already joined," he said, stretching his arms above his head before walking around the bed, to the window where he leaned against it, looking out into the trees. He was glad they weren't out there walking still.

It was almost like he remembered his feet hurt at the memory of the woods, so he sat on the window sill and brought one leg up, letting the other just barely brush the floor with the tips of his socked foot. Seiji turned his attention from the woods, resting his head back against the window and closed his eyes. If they weren't on a mission that could potentially be deadly, as any mission was, he could almost say it was peaceful. Almost.

Momo continued eating. He then grabbed his drink, sipping it as he listened to Seiji's question. "Before?" He muttered. god, that was a long time ago... He sighed, trying to remember what it was like. "Well. It was smaller, that was for sure." He began, "Although, even though Kaoru seems like a dictator now. Which, he is." He smiled a bit, glancing over towards the blonde as he walked to the window sill. "He was...different." Momo suddenly remembered something. Something he didn't think of before. Kaoru used to always mention a person named Rei...and he said his name. And, that one in the forest. Everything began to click. "HOLY removed!!!" He shouted, nearly dropping his drink. "That guy! that Kaoru is with, right now. That's Rei???? THE REI???"

Momo's mouth fell open. All that time that he had spent with Kaoru, he would always talk about he beloved friend in whom he missed. And, which Momo was almost sure he had fallen in love with. 'Rei.' Momo was never aware that they had re-united. Maybe Rei and him had met before, a long time ago, if Rei had joined the rebellion early on, but he never thought anything of it. And, afterall, Rei was a common name. Was the Rei now, the Rei that Kaoru was sure he would never see again when they were in school together??? That would account for him not seeming so depressed anymore... Momo groaned loudly, letting his body fall back onto the bed. Well, now I have no chance. Not that I ever did, Kaoru always said he wasn't in love with me. Momo sighed, before suddenly realizing he hadn't finished answering Seiji's question.

He sat back up, laughing nervously. "Sorry. Where was I? Oh. Well, back in the day, he was still a dictator...but he was 'depressed' all the time. It was like he had nearly no emotions. At least now, he seems too. Kinda." Momo turned towards Seiji. He stood up, walking over to where he sat. Glancing out the window, he began to speak again. "Hey. Say. Do you know if that Rei, thats in the group, is he...did...they know each other before The Rebellion? Do you know?..." If Seiji were to say yes, then this Rei was indeed 'The Rei'. What were the odds of them meeting up again? What were the chances of BOTH of them getting powers??? What were the freakin odds. Momo felt a little jealousy, but decided to brush it off. Like I thought before. Not, like I had a chance in the first place.

Taiga was confused by her stuttering but he could just about figure out what she was saying, despite her mouth saying she was fine, the rest of her face was saying something completely different. He felt quite embarrassed knowing he wasn't exactly the handiest person.
When Asami had offered to take his clothes for him and he felt relieved that he could keep his reputation for asking strangers for help, he handed the clothes to her, making sure to keep a good hold of the towel so it wouldn't fall "Thanks so much." he briefly said as he carelessly smiled at the girl whilst scratching the back of his neck.

When she had left he made his way back to their hotel room to wait for her but was suddenly overcome by drowsiness. He took a seat on the couch, it wasn't long before Souchi was hopping up to him, unable to sit on Taiga's skin the black bird flew onto the towel and got comfortable as Taiga gently stroked his silky feathers with his large hand. For some reason he didn't have thoughts about the past as he usually did but rather more of his thought had been on the female beta, Asami. She certainly lives up to the name. he gently patted Souchi, leaning his head on his arm "You'll like h..e..r Sou..." he mumbled before he drifted off on the couch.

Although, in all sense, what were the odds of all three of them happening to be together again? It was like.. Someone punched the odds, so the odds worked in their favor. Reinai had met his angel the day after his sister died, when grief had went ahead and sucked him up, yet had attracted the attention of an angel. Yet he had already met his angel in high school, an angel named Kaoru Yuu that he looked up to. He got his key, continued on for years. He had caught wind of the Rebellion through whispers in Caldera of a rebel organization. More and more rumors of it being a collection of them. Them, us. They were a hot topic, as the Caldera dictatorship was putting rewards on each and every one of them. His Majesty was someone that Rei greatly disliked, even though he was a Calderian anyways. Rei was always slightly ashamed of being one with powers, that he couldn't trust anyone in case they were out to get them. Which, most were. But yet at the same time he was boastingly proud of them, so it all smoothed out in the end.

Rei had nearly jumped out of his skin once he had seen that Kaoru was the blasted leader of the group of the ones with powers. He was the president of the student council, where else would he be? Rei hadn't recognized him because of his fouler attitude, yet Rei basically looked the same. Despite the fact that he had went and got several piercings ( "don't worry kao, I'm too much of a wimp to do that without you" ) and tattoos on everywhere expect his neck and head. Still the same Rei, but his personality had went under a change as well as Kaoru did.

Rei was the grouchiest person before, always snapping and quick to loose his temper. Kaoru's former personality had snapped him of the negative attitude and those failing grades, and Rei had managed to successfully pass into the next year. He was much cheerier then. Because he finally felt smart, all thanks to Kaoru. He would think to himself, why has he changed? Yet, he knew the answer all too well. Rei was all too lonely when Kaoru left. He returned to his unapproachable self, and only returned to how he was when he found Kaoru was in the Rebellion.

Rei shifted only slightly once he took on the feel of someome staring, but he would not wake up. He would not wake up until he bothered to. It was really so sad that Rei was oblivious enough to not have a clue about Kaoru and how he might feel. He had suspected it a few times only, but there was no way Kaoru would ever be interested him him. Because I'm so laaame. Reinai mumbled a.. sound, as he was touched by Kaoru, but he didn't wake due to his extensive lack of sleep and how much he needed it.

A bit of a voice made its way through his sleeping bariers, a sound like a voice. A small, barely there voice, but it was close. Rei didn't wake. Too damn early.

Rei's emotioms about Kaoru were strange. He didn't even now them himself, but Rei knew he was not.. only attracted to girls. He considered himself pansexual, as he realized he held attraction for simply everyone. He left it at that. He felt the bed shift in his sleep as someone else got comfortable, and he shifted a little himself. Kaoru.. He better not get hurt on this. I want to protect him. But what could he do? Rei wasn't very strong.. But he would try. Try for Kaoru the best he could.

Kiyoko began to get seriously tired, so she headed back to their room. "If you want to stay up, go ahead... I'm not in the mood to stay up today though, so goodnight Soetsu." she yawns and almost falls over, her legs not wanting her to walk though she made it to their room. She fell asleep once she got comfortable on the bed.

Her dream. It was like reality. She saw the team getting captured, their keys taken away, and they couldn't escape the Rebellion catchers. But the most terrifying moment was when she saw it, her family there. This can't be true, they may not love me, but they would never turn against me... Would they? she saw the team never being found, and staying in a prison cell. Forever. But she wouldn't let that happen, she wouldn't let the team stay there forever. And besides, it was a dream. Dreams usually aren't true.

Soetsu followed behind her, he didn't really have anything to do in the meantime. He hadn't slept for a while, maybe he should, just to be safe and all. ".. I think I might too. Goodnight." He would, but not right at the second. After a couple minutes or so he peeked in on the room, to find Kiyoko sleeping. He frowned. Maybe she was having a nightmare or a dream. This mission was daunting after all. It could be something else, how would he know? Soetsu lazily flopped on his own bed. "They died two years and one-hundred sixteen days ago." He mumbled, moving over to his side and trying to go to sleep.

Kaoru easily opened his eyes. Glancing towards the window, he noticed the sun rays shining through. Morning. He thought. He sat up, wiping his face and running his hand throughout his hair. Memories of last night began to flood back to him. The dream, the...the...Kaoru blushed, screaming mentally. What did I do last night! The night had truly been full of emotions. Perhaps, too much emotion. The dream had seemed to real, and once he saw Rei, he had almost gone crazy. Kaoru scoffed. "Too many emotions last night. Thats all." He muttered. He stood up, looking up at the clock hanging on the wall. He turned to see Rei still sound asleep. "Rei." He called. But no reply seemed to come. "Rei." He said again, and still nothing. He groaned, leaning on the bed, and lightly touching his friend. "Rei, wake up." He said softly.

Are you kidding me. How deep of a sleeper are you damn it.

Kaoru sighed, walking to the other side of the bed. He leaned down, pulling the covers off of his friend. "For god's sake, Rei. Wake up!" It was thankfully still slightly early, but the group needed to get going. Not to mention, Rei had always been one of those people that took forever to get ready to leave the 'house.' Kaoru remembered memories of standing outside Rei's house, waiting to walk to school with him. Rei's mother would have to invite him in, telling him that Rei wasn't even ready yet. Thankfully though, Kaoru always found some way of getting to school quickly. After all, he couldn't afford to be late. He was on the student council. Kaoru turned away from Rei, assuming he was awake. He began changing into his uniform. Not bothering to leave the room, or go to the bathroom. "We need to make sure everyone else is awake. I also need to check with Riko and make sure we have everything we need before we leave. Inventory wise." He was saying this more to himself, but also speaking to Rei.

Riko. He thought. Suddenly remembering his insecure thoughts the night before. He was almost sure Rei had feelings for one of the girls. Riko? Asami? Kiyoko maybe? He shook it off, cursing to himself for thinking about it again. He had made a promise that night, that no matter who Rei fell in love with, he would support him. Although, it would probably pain Kaoru, never being able to get too close to his friend. If he did, he wouldn't be able to hold himself back. Urges and Passion were something that, believe it or not, is extremely strong in Kaoru. Instilled inside him. Although he didn't show it. Now that he knew his own feelings for Rei, which were revealed to him through a dream and in the dead of night, he felt extreme...want. Kaoru slapped himself mentally. "Want...huh?" He asked himself out-loud. Kaoru glanced towards one of the mirrors in the room. Why can't I just be a normal human being that likes girls. He thought. Because Rei is better than a girl. Because hes an idiot. Because hes Rei.
