We've never been understood correctly, people just think we're oddities in the universe and should never have been born. We have to hide in plain sight, it is killing us, the tension of being found and captured. We still live normal lives, but always with that risk. We cannot control our emotions, and they can trigger the shift. There is a forest just outside of town, where the more sure of their shift form stay, and we must do the same. Our kind kill count is becoming higher by the week, we must take refuge in the forest, and hope they never find us. We are the Shifters.
