After having been rudely awakened by a huge clap of thunder from outside, Jovie was having a bit of a shaky start to her morning. She hated being late for things, and the moody weather wasn't making her feel any more positive. She got changed into her uniform and threw on a cozy sweater over the top, then grabbed her bag and took a slice of toast out of the toaster for breakfast.

Jovie made her way down the corridor, the charms on her backpack clinking together as she hurried along. Seeing the other students nearby when she turned a corner let her relax a little as she realised she wasn't that late after all. Her first class was art which was a subject she really enjoyed, even if she wasn't that good at it, and she happily made her way towards the classroom door.

Jovie walked timidly into the art classroom, choosing to sit at a desk near the middle of the room. She never liked to sit at the back for fear of getting involved with the bullies, but not at the front either because she hated being picked on by the teacher. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and rummaged around in her backpack. She took out the supplies she assumed would be needed for the lesson; pens, pencils, paint, and a sketchbook. She arranged them all very neatly at the top corner of her desk and then sat back in her chair, fiddled with the edge of her skirt and waited for class to begin.
