Pierce sat cross-legged on her plain white bed, flipping the pages of a book with her slender fingers. As she read she fidgeted with the collar around her neck. It was a subconscious habit the girl had developed after wearing it a little over a year. There was a time when it had been quite bothersome and she'd tried every method in the book to remove it. What she had needed was the key, though she'd never been lucky enough to set eyes on the correct one. Drawing her attention from the book, Pierce's sharp yellow eyes flicked to the other side of the room and trained on the second bed. It was odd to think about the newbies. After only a year the girl felt as if she'd been living in isolation for a lifetime. There were the people that worked there, but they weren't exactly what you'd call friendly. Not that she was looking for friends... No, allies was a much better word for it. As much as she would've loved to brag about being able to escape on her own no problem, that wasn't the case. The Institute was no small town prison. It had what seemed like a million guards, no foreseeable exit, and of course there were security cameras trained on every corner. Escaping the Institute was not a one-man job. So for Pierce, the new hybrids could open up a sea of new opportunities. And I won't have to take responsibility for them, she reminded herself. We'll escape, then go our separate ways.

He yawned and walked around, he didn't know what to do at this point. He looked around and lazily pushed himself on a chair.

Alex was in the middle of trying to snatch one of the keys. Her collar was driving her crazy, and she was the best at stealing things. She grabbed what she thought was the right one, then darted out the room, only to hear sirens wail, so she immediately dropped the key and scrambled to the common room, and grabbed a book, pretending that she was reading. And the book was upside down.

back to the wall, reis sat in silence, his silvery eyes closed. to the outside world, he appeared to be meditating, sitting cross-legged against that cold stone. but rather, the brunette was thinking. and thinking. and thinking. his quick mind was alight with possibilities, running over scenario after scenario. after a night of painful poking and prodding he was glad to escape to the peace that made up this room. quiet was good for the brain. with no one to interact with, reis was free to wallow in his thoughts. of course, that wouldn't last much longer. in this room, there would be two beds. another would be coming.

He stopped and looked at her and chuckled. "Hey, your book is upside down, love." He smirks and looks her up and down, hearing the sirens.

Alex heard Jason, and her fox tail bristled a bit. "Oops. Thanks" she said. "Well that is the 15nth time I've tried. They upped there alarm system, probably because I actually achieved 11 times… with the wrong key" she sighed, then propped her feet up on a table, and her ears twitched slightly.

He chuckled and his ears perked. "I noticed that." He grins and leans back, "This place..I hate it." He grumbles and pushes himself off the chair and lazily stretches himself out on the floor, in front of Alex.

[Sorry if I didn't make this clear before, but all the hybrids will be starting out in their cells, and will have just woken up. They won't really know where they are or what's going on. Sorry again!]

Alex woke up with a gasp. She sat up, her head pounding. She got up, her legs a bit wobbly, and felt somthing … furry behind her. She screamed a little when she saw her tail, and almost fainted when she looked in the mirror and saw two orange ears. She just stared at herself, then felt dizzy after she saw retractable claws on the tips of her fingers. "Hello?" She called out.
