Nathan was caught off guard as he felt someone pull a santa hat over his forehead. Realizing it was Dakota, he smiled and shook his head slowly, turning to face her. He set down the cold water bottle which had been in one hand on the counter and arched an eyebrow. "I'm sure it does, Dakota. You have excellent taste in santa hats," He replied, leaning against the counter. "But I'm not nearly as similar to Santa as you are," He chuckled, pulling off the hat and sticking it on her head instead. "It looks way better on you." He grabbed his water bottle slid past her, walking slowly to the window and staring outside at the snow. "I'll need to send out patrols soon. The snow is gorgeous, but it can give us away easily because it'll trace our steps. If we go early, our tracks might vanish soon enough to be safe," Nathan knew that it was snowy and it could be dangerous to go out there, but he had to send out patrols. That was his priority. Even one day of missing patrols could mean missing suspicious activity. And from his experience in the past, that wasn't a good thing. The alpha took another sip of his water, contemplating the matter as he heard most of the pack begin to stir.

Olivia had taken a long, hot shower, trying to hold off the task for as long as she possibly could. The hunter was purely annoyed that, this close to the holidays, she would still have to go out and search for something that wasn't even there. Last time she checked, all of the humans that had gone into the forest on the edge of town had come back alive. And whenever she thought she heard a howl, no one around her seemed to have noticed. It was insane– well, more accurately, it was driving her insane. After her shower, the girl got out and dried her hair thoroughly before brushing her teeth and washing her face. She put on enough makeup to make her look like a city girl that was up to nothing and threw on leggings and a thick wool sweater. She then grabbed her phone, wallet, and the binder, and began to head out through the door, down the elevator, and out of the apartment complex.
Instead of heading into the forest, she went further into the city towards the local coffeehouse. Honestly, she wasn't feeling any urgency to complete the task and was sort of rebelling. Besides, she could use a coffee and maybe even a friendly conversation. After about ten minutes of walking through the streets, blanketed with snow, Olivia arrived, greeted by warmth and the smell of coffee. She walked to the cashier, ordering an americano and paying for it before walking over and sitting at a table. She set down her binder, phone, and wallet as she took a seat herself and waited patiently.
