Raven glanced at his wife and sighed, continuing to eat. He noticed how often he was pushed down in the house, sometimes he felt like the dog. Put lower than the man of the house. In reality, it was clear who the man of the house was in all. Nuri. By a long shot. Axel shut his mouth as his mother cleared her throat, meaning she was getting upset with him too. He looked down and dug into his food. Jaxton lifted his head and looked at the blank space where his food used to be, " What did you do with it? " He asked and looked around before down as the dog scarfed it up. " I was going to eat! " He looked at his mother. Raven began to laugh now, excusing himself from the table as he walked upstairs into their room before laughing out loud. Jaxton glared at the dog and slid off the chair and stomped up the stairs into his room. He shot his father a glare as he slammed the door to his room. Raven caught that glare and stopped laughing, beginning to feel his blood boil with his son acting this way. " Hey! Come here! Now! " He snarled at the door and it slowly opened. " In here. Now. I need to talk to you. " Raven pointed to his feet and glared at Jaxton as he walked over. " Shut the door. " He sighed and Jaxton did as he was told, then sat on the edge of the bed and hung his head, sniffling.
" Jaxton. If you were hungry why didn't you just eat? You know your mother won't tolerate you acting this way for long. She won't let me either... " He muttered then cleared his throat and coughed, " So... I think there's more than the glasses thing that's bugging you... " He sat next to him and looked down. Jaxton was silent but slowly nodded, " Mhm... You. You bug me. "
Ravens face looked momentarily hurt but he pushed it aside, " What have I done...? " Jaxton glared at the ground, " Ypu let them bully us... I was talking to Sora about this, you do nothing to make them stop! You just let people make these lies about you and us and you don't do anything about them! Why don't you say stop? How come you don't just push them aside? Or ignore them? You answer like you are happy to! " He began to cry again.
Ravens face twisted into concern and he looked down, " You don't like the way I handle it? "
" I don't like that you don't get fed up with it. "
" I do. " He mumbled and rested a hand on his cheek, " I get very fed up with it. But I know how to keep my temper down. I must protect my family when it comes to answering those questions. What do you think would happen if I lashed out and began to get physical? I'd put you all in danger... I am doing something for you. I'm keeping you all looking good. Well raised. " He smiled but Jaxton looked at him sadly, " If you get mad... How come you don't seem to be? "
Raven was silent for a minute but them sighed, " Well it... I save that for later. " He muttered. Jaxton looked at him, " What do you mean? "
His father looked at him, " You know when I go on that hunting trip once a week? It's not really hunting. " He looked down, " That anger has to be taken out somewhere... " He said no more. " I do get angry. It angers me these lies... It's not fair. I can't really do anything about them Jaxton. "
His son looked at him critically and blinked, " What do you do...? " He whispered.
Raven stood up, " Maybe... Maybe that's enough. I'll tell you some other time but why don't you go ask your mother nicely for some food and give her a big hug and kiss? She's a softie when it comes to affection. I'd know it anywhere. " He winked and chuckled. Jaxton sighed and stalked downstairs, looking at his mother before running over and giving her a tight hug around the waist.
