Tom stooded up alert. No. They couldn't have just hurt her. He growled as he followed after him. He stopped in horror when he saw it was his sister. " No. It's my fault. I didn't know they would actually do this to her. " He said, taking a step back. He looked at Cora and then at Gabe.

Kat looked over at him weekly. " Gabe. " She said, before her body went limp.

" We have to get her back to the house, quickly. " Tom said. He knew his sister would probably hate him after he told her why they went after her.

Gabriel nodded, quickly picking Kat up and jogging back to the house. Reaching the home, he went inside and and jogged up the stairs to her room, laying her on the bed and going back to get the medic supplies.

Cora frowned, stepping away. "I told you." She said quietly. "I'm sorry." She added in a whisper before turning to run back to her cabin, but she made a stop on the way there to dispose of the two bodies of hunters that she took out. Reaching her cabin, she ran inside and locked all the doors and windows, falling on the floor with her back against the door.
'Why? Why didn't he trust me, when I told him he or his sister would get hurt because of me or Gabe being there?' Ragged breaths left her as she quietly sobbed into her arms.

Tom stood there frozen before he fell to his knees. This is all his fault. His sister has been hurt because he choose Cora then her. He placed his hand on the ground before he punched the ground in anger. " Why? Why? " He said, as he cried. He didn't want to go back to his house yet. Kat would surely hate him now.

Kat wasn't sure what was going on.

Gabe worked quickly on applying medicine and herbs that would stop the wounds from bleeding and heal them, then she would need to rest for a couple of weeks. "Kat, wake up." He asked gently, running his thumb over her cheek.

Cora lifted her tear stained eyes to the window, seeing the sun slowly going down. Letting go of a shaky breath, she stood and unlocked her door, leaving her cabin to go back to the spot they were at earlier. She looked down when she caught sight of him on his knees. "Tom?" She said, quickly wiping the tear stains from her face. She bit her lip, not knowing what would happen in the next few seconds. "I'm sorry." She whispered. "I never meant for any of this to happen".

Kat sightly moaned when she felt him gently rub her cheek with his thumb. She slowly opened her eyes as she heard his voice. She smiled when she saw it was him. " Gabe. " She said, softly.

Tom narrowed his eyes at her before he got up, clenching his fist. " You never ment this to happen? Just please stay away from me. I picked you over my sister. I'm a monster. " He said, looking at his hands.

He softly smiled when she woke up. "Hey." He said, holding her hand in his. "How are you feeling?" He asked.

Cora frowned, as though she had been sucker punched in the gut. "Tom, no you're not. If I had never met you that night, if I had stayed away none of this would've happened, it's not your fault. I'm the monster, the enemy, not you. I'm the cause of all this. " She replied. "Its best to cut ties now, before anyone else gets hurt." Small tears ran down her cheeks, shaking her head she turned and walked away. She didn't look back, didn't want to see the hatred and anger in his eyes.

Kat smiled. " It just hurts a little bit. What happened? " She asked.

Tom watched her before he sighed. " You're not the monster. I'm a monster to her. She will hate me. " He said. He looked down when he watched her leave. He didn't mean to make her cry.

"You were attacked by two hunters, Cora took care of them, I brought you back and bandaged you up." He replied, laying on his arms since he was sitting down in a chair by the edge of the bed.

Cora stopped and looked back when she was halfway to her cabin. Breathing heavy from running non stop until she would reach home. A part of her wanted to just run away, another part wanted to run back. Sighing, she turned and continued back to her cabin.

" Oh. " Kat said. She carefully sat up, wincing as she did so. " Is my brother OK? " She asked, as she was worried about him.

Tom sighed as he begin to walk. He had to go back to the place. She was probably worried about him now. He knew his sister would be freaking out now.

Gabriel gave her a nod. "Yes. He and Cora were talking before I left, I don't think it ended well." He replied. He then added a couple of extra pillows behind her so she could sit up without much movement hurting her wounds.
