personality quiet and reserved, jay's not much of a talker, unlike the bird he was named after. he likes solitude, but is forced to sleep in cabins with other people as he's not a normal human. as a shape-shifter, jay has the advantage of pranking and sneaking out, but he's never in the mood to do that. also, he's settling with the other mutants and gradually growing more comfortable around them. his reticence is actually a cover of his inside feelings. his moods can change extremely quickly, like from frustration to anger in only a matter of moments. this is only one of the downsides, there are many more to him. but, once someone gets to know him and even befriend him, he's just one of those quiet, loyal and supportive friends who are always there when you need them.
