Marik's Treasure - Low Fantasy RP

[Pirate Spawn]

The Anglo-Spanish War occurred between 1585-1604. It was a war between England and Spain that caused problems for civilians, merchants and sailors alike. During this war at approximately 1592 occurred a race to find the famous treasure that belonged to the infamous pirate Captain Marik. This treasure was believed to be worth over millions of doubloons - enough to make every crew member as rich as the King of England. Pirates and Privateers made several attempts to find the treasure but it was impossible without Marik's map. What many didn't know was that the map was ripped into three pieces. One piece was given to Marik's closest friend, the second was given to his son and the third remained with him.

Over the years the first piece landed in the hands of the captain of a ship called Amity's Revenge. The second was found I the hands of the captain of a ship called Golden Serpent. The third piece remains lost and now the rival ships have been at war to gain the piece from each other. During this race the crew will face against sea monster, magic and unbelievable events. So who's side will you join?

Personality: Usually calm and collected when she isn't ticked off. Otherwise she will probably pick a fight with someone or something. If she can't find someone she will probably be found attacking the mizzenmast of her ship. She has always loved the sea and is often anxious if she is on land.
History: As a descendent of Marik, Elisha now holds the third piece of the map. Unknown to her crew she fought her brothers tooth and nail to get it - possibly killing one of them in the process - and making enemies of the rest.

Berk huffed, leaning back against the rail of the ship. It had anchored off the shore of Boston, just out of sight of the main shore. The captain and some of the other members of the crew had gone on an 'outing' and he was left in charge of the rest. A boring job for a boring day.



Watching quietly, Elisha waited at the corner of two busy streets. She was waiting for her target to leave for lunch before she entered Boston's city hall. The third map had rumoured to be inside the bank and she was there to check it out.

With the ship docked, most of the crew had taken the chance to explore the new city. Arlyn, not wanting to be left behind, had disembarked as well, but he somewhat regretted it. He hated stumbling around the city (he had never quite gotten used to walking around on steady ground), and most of it didn't interest him anyway. "Just need to find my way back to the dock, and I'll help Berk watch the ship. I'm sure he'd be happy to have the extra company. There's nothing weird about that, right?" The man mumbled, bracing against a lamppost. It was a wonderful plan in theory, but as the mermaid began to look around, he realized that he had no idea which way to head back to the docks, or even which way he had come from. Aryln swore under his breath, reaching for his compass. "I hate cities."

Initially, Victor had been ecstatic when Captain Elisha announced they'd be traveling to Boston for the third piece of the map. After all, he had joined the crew in hopes of a great adventure. Now, stranded in a city full of people talking in strange accents and wearing strange clothes, he began to feel a bit out of place. He had "accidentally" wandered away from the rest of the crew a while ago in hopes of getting a chance to explore on his own, but Vicky was beginning to regret it. After all, at least they were familiar, even if he had only known them for a matter of months.
