Brooke listened as he spoke. "I'm glad I have a job too," she said with a smile. She listened as he spoke all the thoughts that she had kept to herself. She also appreciated that he told her his jobs even though he didn't need to, it made her feel that he was comfortable with her. "It's fine, I was going to ask what your jobs were anyway, so you are one step ahead of the game," she said sweetly. Brooke watched as they passed the art room, and the way he seemed to want to be in their badly. "I must not be very exciting or fun to be around," she thought. He then read off the next destination. Brooke seemed to be a human calculator so she enjoyed the easy class. She looped her arm through his and took a left turn down the long hallway that would soon lead to the math room. "Nice choice in food," she said while thinking about the delicious food which made her slightly hungry. His next question seemed very well phrased as to not offend someone which made her smile that he cared about people's feelings. "Well I like gentle men, but I guess I am really attracted to the person's personality. I think liking someone by looks is terrible considering if you liked me by my looks, I can change quickly and that person would no longer like me," she said with a sad smile knowing that was one of the reasons her family discarded her. She did not look normal and did not fit their perfect family image. "Well, what do you like in whatever gender it is you are attracted to," she said hoping he would not respond with looks considering the way she hated those people. Brooke didn't want to hate him.
Despite his sexuality, Jason immediately agrees. "I prefer personality, as well." He answers politely. "Even though it may take time for somebody to take away my anti-romance armor," he adds, his tone joking. He thought for a moment, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Could we leave the school grounds? I have no use in being here, honestly."
