Noctis was silent for a moment. Sophie took this very seriously, despite her leaving not effecting him at the moment. But he had to take her word for it since she was older.
"I said, it's alright." He repeated, his sharp gaze locked on Sophie. When he lost Tenma, the boy became extremely bitter and angry at anything, but Sophie managed to change that. He knew it would hurt, a lot if she left, but he couldn't just tell her that and burden her even more. As Sophie continued, Noctis couldn't help but falter in his gaze. The boy slowly shifted his body so he was now straddling the branch and facing Sophie. Her eyes looked a bit teary, but he said nothing about it. "I'm say that, regardless of what you'll do, I'll always be there to accept you back with open arms." He said, his tone and face serious. "If i get hurt...then it's something that could't be prevented. I've already been hurt before, so a second time..." He paused. "...Will hurt to tell you the truth, but I'll be fine. Promise." He stated.

Sophie

Sophie didn't rise her eyes at Noctis for some time, she wasn't too happy about his speech, but had to accept it. The girl kept thinking about every single person she turned her back to, there were more than fifty, maybe just a bit less than hundred, all of them trusted her. Some of them even admired, but once she turned her back to them they were speechless. She also remembered one final person, that turned his back on her and when she tried to return to her previous ' friends ' no one listened or even wanted to look at her. Once she felt that branch was moving Sophie raised her head and saw Noctis now sitting in front of her, making a strong eye contact. " You sometimes don't speak like a thirteen year old at all. " Sophie tried to smile and ruffled his hair again. For some reason it really was something she liked to do to him.

Noctis remained quiet, letting both of their words sink in. It was only when he felt a hand on his head and ruffle his soft locks that Noctis relaxed and leaned into Sophie's touch, clearly delighted with the action. He could get use to something like that...
"Why thank you. I tend to pick up on things that i actually care about..." He hummed as his wings fluttered a bit, causing the leaves around them to blow and whistle faintly. "But for the sake of both of us, how about we stop talking about this...p-please?" He questioned as he put his hands on the branch to steady himself.

Sophie

Sophie enjoyed his reaction, for some reason it felt like she was petting a cat. His reaction was also a bit similar. Now purr! Sophie spoke in her mind, soon chuckling, knowing that he couldn't hear it. " Don't thank me, I just blab out most of the random things I think. " She laughed and stopped ruffling his hair. " I actually wanted suggest a topic change. Something more fun... or should I say funny? " Sophie smiled and thought for a bit out loud. " But what exactly could it be? " Her eyes stopped on Noctis. " You decide maybe? Or at least help me, because I am clueless. " Sophie closed her eyes and smiled widely.

Noctis tilted his head a bit when Sophie chuckled, but didn't speak out on it. Maybe she was thinking about something funny. He did end up laughing himself at her comment.
"Well I think that's a cool trait to have." He smiled before laughing again. "I think that would be for the best." He answered before closing his eyes and putting a hand on his chin, deep in thought. "Hm, I'm not sure myself, how about you tell about the tings you like to do for fun and with that I can figure something else to talk about?" He suggested with a tilted head.
