Sophie thought for a bit, thinking through some more plans and dangers they could face there, then she looked at Noctis and put her right hand on her stomach. " You can call it business, but I will get hungry again. " She smiled, looking at the distance as warm breeze began brushing her hair. " Yeah, humans are impossible to trust. One second you think that finally you have a friend, sometimes even a best friend, but once fame and money get in the way they throw you out of your life like a trash. " She sighted, then admit. " That's why I usually eat kids, I carefully choose those that were broken that way and end their misery. " She shrugged. More than half of her victims were people like that.

Noctis couldn't help but laugh at her comment.
"Oh, well then that means we kinda have to go then." He smiled before shutting his eyes as the warm breeze cause a bit of his hair to blow into his face. He then brought his attention back to Sophie with a slightly more serious expression on his face. "I see...then, what about us?" He asked. "What if something like that happened to us...w-would you throw away our friendship for something like that?" He asked the girl with loosely clenched fists.

" Yup, but not now at least. " Sophie smiled back at Noctis and moved a strand of her hair behind the ear. Once she heard his another question Sophie took some time to think. It wasn't something that could be answered easily and had to admit. " To tell you the truth... " The girl frowned, but continued. " No one can answer to that kind of question truthfully. I might say one thing now, but once that situation is encountered I could run after that. In my case it wouldn't be fame or money. It would be something else. " Sophie sighted. " But I don't know if I would do it, nor does anyone. First we have to encounter that situation... " She then suddenly remembered what he told about pure hearts. " Actually, I think that someone with pure heart would never leave a friend in need. "

Noctis remained quiet as Sophie explained how hard the question could be in terms of answering truthfully. Even though it was the truth, Noctis couldn't help but feel a little bit sad that she could possibly break their friendship over something materialistic. But hearing that it can depend simply on what the encounter is gave Noctis a little bit of hope in his heart.
"I see...well, I'll try my best to enjoy the time we spend together now then..." He said with a saddened smile. He then looked up at Sophie with curiosity when she spoke about pure hearts. "Is that so? Then I guess you're stuck with me, regardless of what pulls you away from me." He shrugged, a mischievous smile dancing on his lips.

Sophie noticed how his grimace changed. She knew that her answer would hurt him, but if she said that she's never going to leave him and then one day it would happen, then the pain would be double. " Sorry, it's just how it is. " The girl frowned and looked at her feet. " Yeah, I think that enjoying the moment is the best thing you could do at least for now... Sorry if I ever choose something or someone over you. It's going to be instinct. " She scratched the back of her head, when suddenly she heard him speak a bit louder. Sophie turned her head to see him smile and it cached her by surprise. " Eh? What do you mean I am stuck with you? "

Noctis shook his head a bit.
"I-It's alright. It's better that you told the truth then lied to me." He said before smiling a bit, happy that Sophie was at least enjoying the time they spent together so far. He could tell just by how hard the question was for her answer, and he couldn't ask for anything more. Noctis then shook his head. "Don't apologize. I understand completely." He said, smiling weakly. His smile, however, grew when Sophie questioned what he meant about being stuck with him. "It's like you said. Someone with a pure heart would never leave a friend in need... since my heart is pure, I'll never leave you behind even if you do it to me." He said, nodding softly.

When Sophie heard Noctis say that it's alright, she felt sorry for him. Poor boy, he probably never felt that awful feeling of being left alone... he sighted, knowing that once she leaves it will hurt him a lot, more than even she could imagine. " No, I want you to know that I am really sorry. I know that I won't tell you that then, but once I realize it, it will be too late. " She leaned on a tree with her side and closed her eyes for a bit, but when Noctis spoke that he has pure heart and never will leave her Sophie's eyes began to wet. " You have no idea what you are saying now. It was just my guess, I don't know if it will really be like that. Also, you will just get hurt. " The more Noctis spoke, the more sorry Sophie felt for him.
