Feeling something grimy and wet beneath him, Nikolai gave a soft grunt as he sat up. He was on top of a mess of seaweed, near some rocks. Looking around, the crash came back to him and he stood quickly, glancing up and down the beach. The easiest way to go was by the sand, so he set off down the coast. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, just looking for the sake of it.

Abigail took a step back from the brush as Rafael stepped forward, her eyes not leaving the potential threat. She could hear the hawk, Tatum, above them, wanting to attack. Her hand shifted around in the sand, until she felt a rock, about the size of her palm. Picking it up, she aimed for the tree behind the mysterious being, hoping if it was just a small creature, it would get scared off. Might as well just go for it, if it really is a threat, the unknown would attack either way. Abby held the rock in front of Rafael, giving a sign of what she was going to do. Before he could stop her, she threw the rock. Abby could see the rock hit the tree, but only heard it fall. Suddenly, she felt a shooting pain up her back, as if she threw the rock at herself.

Rafael was about to say something, raising his hand up to stop her, but dropped it as she threw it anyways. He clicked his teeth impatiently. Could have been food...he thought slightly annoyed. He was certain the creature would have ran away but this island looked like it had never seen the likes of humans before so maybe it was still there. he couldn't really see it from here though he noted Tatum definitely was looking at something there. Tatum craned his neck, as if trying to get a better look though he really didn't need to. He cocked his head and flew down to a lower branch at the tree the girl had thrown the rock at. He made a crowing noise at the creature.

"Um, sorry?" she whispered to Rafael awkwardly, since her idea did absolutely nothing except mysteriously strain her back. The hawk no longer looked threatened, for he wanted a closer look. Abigail crawled towards the area, to hear a small whimper. She gave Rafael a quick look of confusion, then began to pull away what blocked them from the creature. She could see a tuft of dark red fur curled up in a ball. She looked again to Rafael as if to say, should I touch it?

Ashley; Lyth - Tags; Open

Ashley found some dull, wet wood that seemed to have come from the shipwreck. " Well, at least you look better than I do. " She said, crouching down to examine the dull wood. It didn't seem to be burned or anything, just wet, so Ashley pick it up and headed inland. It was dark, and there wasn't much to do at night, so she arranged the wood to lean onto a tree to make a small, temporary shelter. Ashley had found some large leaves a few steps away from the tree and decided to lean them onto the wood. Once she had finished that, she crawled inside the shelter and chose to wait until daylight to scavenge the rest of the shipwreck and look for others.

Rafael shook his head giving a shrug. He walked around her still in a crouched position and raised a brow lifting his stick and lightly prodding the creature on the ground with it. Tatum looked at the creature inquisitively through narrowed eyes. He put his arm in front of the girl reflexively to keep her from proceeding any farther. It was a fox. Not necessarily known for their friendly natures. He also doubted the rock did particularly much to the critter anyhow. Tatum flapped his wings stepping up next to the fox and lowering his head to peek around it. He kept a small foot length distance though just incase.

Ashley played around with the pebbles until her stomach grumbled, indicating that she needed some food. She cautiously crawled out of her small shelter, making sure she was out of harms way. Ashley searched the ground for a rock, large enough to kill a small animal if she were to throw it. She searched up and down the woodlands until she found one. She held the rock tightly and carefully exited the woods and onto the sand, hoping to find a crab. She walked down the beach, glancing at the pieces of the shipwreck. She stopped in her tracks when she spotted two silhouettes which seemed to resemble two humans. She squinted at the sight and walked closer, taking cover by the debris. " Hopefully they're not hostile, I don't have much to defend anyway. " She whispered to herself.

Elizabeth- Pet: Storm Tags: Open

After barely managing to start a small fire, she decided to make a torch and look around a bit. She thought scavenging the shipwreck for food or other supplies would be a good idea, since she had no idea when she might be able to hunt anything. The buffalo was still following behind her, and would sometimes gallop ahead- almost like it knew where she was going. Near the ship was a gigantic rock and a few fallen trees. "Those might make a good shelter..." she said to herself. She didn't feel like getting wet, so she stayed very close to the shore, only letting the water get up to her ankles. There were a few broken crates and a soda can or two- nothing of much use. However, she thought she might be able to fashion some planks of wood from the crates into some sort of door or wall eventually, so she took some and placed it near the fallen trees. Then, she broke off a few branches from the trees and make a fire. "Might as well stay here for the night, buffalo."

"I think he's hurt... crap, did I do this?" Abby whined. Out of instinct, she reached her hand out to pet the fox, definitely not one of her brightest moments. As the blonde touched the fox's soft head, she realized that she was touching the fur of a possibly hostile or even worse, rabid fox. She thought about pulling her hand away, however, it was to late now, a sudden movement could set the red critter off. She began to lightly scratch behind it's ears, "Woah, did not see that one coming" she said as the fox began to purr. She looked to Rafael and whispered "This is amazing" with a huge smile on her face, completely forgetting the part about being trapped on an island.
