"I could tell, Ive studied everyone on campus and your hair is generally not as messy as your hair now on Days you dont transform. its quite unkempt for someone who normally keeps it up and neat." she said. she looked him over looking for any sign that he was weirded out. she really didnt want to be pushed away because she was weird. "Are you new too?" Ripley asked, her voice deeper than most anticipate. She sounds just as bored as the guy across from her. She thought she might as well try to be friends with him, nobody else at the school was probably brave enough to confront the intimidating boy who could probably make a small child cry and not have a single bit of remorse for it.

Rafael turned slowly almost surprised that the girl was addressing him, "Sure." he said shortly, "Yah, new." he added sounding like he was giving in. There wasn't anything better to do so a conversation wasn't a bad thing. "I guess that means you are too?" He asked his head resting on his desk as he asked. His brow was raised holding up a loose strand that fell out of place on his forehead.

Tatum shrugged. "I Wouldn't have guessed such a thing with only that as my clue, but I guess it worked so...." he stated trailing off, "I haven't really read much about myself. So I didn't realize some were rarer then others. I just thought that ya' are what you are and its not because some transformations are more common then others." he said explaining his own lack in proper knowledge. Maybe to ones surprise, he had never bothered to look up what he was. When he as growing up his gift had been no surprise to himself, in fact he thought most people were like that. Seeing as he kept inside his house taking care of his sister it wasn't like he got into conversations with people about it. "I don't know. I guess it never interested me to do some research on anything like myself." he shrugged again making an apologetic grin.

Michael strolled around aimlessly, He sighed; He was fashionably late to find anyone remotely interesting he moaned 'Now that's what I don't like' he began to mutter random gibberish and began to let the loneliness sink in. He summoned a coca cola from his jacket pocket and sipped violently at it and exhaled.

He didn't come off as such a bad guy but he was definitely misunderstood from what Ripley could gather. "So what makes you 'special"?" She asked with quotation fingers.

she reached up and grabbed a book on shifters. flipping through the book she finds 'Red Shouldered Hawk' and points it out. "You, Like me, are rare. theres only 100 of us remaining. 50 of each Species. We should stick together. so, Want to be my friend and we can fight off danger together?" she asks him and hands him the book. "You can read more about our Species."

He scoffed, "Take a gander and guess." he said knowing fully well that just looking at him didn't do anything for her and did not reveal anything actually about him. He was glad people didn't know what he was though. He felt that it would make them want to touch him or something as just the slightest touch of a finger could send him into some kind of daze. And depending on what he saw it could be awhile before he got out of it. And when people tried to help him they normally just tried to help him up or something stupid like that, which only made matters worse. The overload of memories and emotions he couldn't stop from coming had knocked him out a few times in the past. "Im here, so makes me special enough." he said tartly. His personality made him quite a bother to talk to at times. he didn't open up, and he was hard to work with not always giving straight answers when that was all people wanted.

Tatum was slightly surprised by her sudden proposal. It was like she as asking him to join a secret club by which they would different from everyone else. Which he noted probably not what she meant, but that's how he felt. He had never considered the differences in him and anyone else in this place, as obvious as they were they had remained unspoken. And therefore he had paid no mind to them. Each one of them was different, even though they were all the same. They were painfully different and that made him slightly sad at the thought. He brushed the thoughts away not wanting to seem suspicious or weird for just sitting there and zoning out. "I mean sure we are friends. I mean I'm talking to you right? And your talking to me. So it must be a good sign." he said with a bit of a laugh before continuing, "What kind of dangers do you mean?" His eyes lowly went to the book as she held it out to him and he took it from her examining it.

Michael strolled a little more casually now humming a tune to a song he had been trying to recall the name of for a few hours and it was really starting to bother him. He'd been walking for a good few minutes when he'd stumbled across a girl and a boy talking nearby, something about danger? He decided he'd invite himself to listen a little better. He stood a few feet away and pulled up his phone and started to tap away mindlessly at some random garbage game he'd downloaded on a whim because boredom was an itch and it need to be scratched.

"Yes it is and I guess we are friends. hey, Maybe we could hang out a little later? because youre really nice and you're a good friend. and at the mention of danger even being on this campus, we (shifters) are still a prize to be had by scientists and hunters." she said softly tearing up slightly at the loss of her family. "I know this because i lost my whole family to them." she said and wiped her eyes as he took the book

Ripley laughs to herself, "I'm going to guess Empath?" She says slightly, she didn't have to read minds to put two and two together. Insanely rude boy who avoids people and getting close to them, the accidental touch of a hand or bump in the hallway would send him into a frenzy. If he comes off as rude, and intimidating it is simple to see that people would avoid a confrontation with him. "So, am I right?"
