Damien exhaled softly. "He was beyond furious when she had told him of her true identity. Mother told him that when I was born, was when her real feelings began to develop. MY father didn't know what to do, so he took his anger out on me and my brother. That was the worst beating we had gotten. After he had cleared his head, he knocked my mother unconscious and dragged her into the basement." His tone was now completely monotone, his white eyes blank and his jaw locked.

Vince grinned and nodded "Yeah. I always knew they'd be together forever." He spoke happily as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

Selena choked back a sob. She couldn't believe what Damien had gone through. "You don't have to go on if it's too hard." she said softly.

Damien ignored Selena. He seemed distant, as if reliving his story. "Father chained mother up in the basement. After our hourly beatings, he took us down there once every day to watch him beat the life out of her. Literally. One day, as we went down there, she was bleeding out..A lot. MY father, being the cruel man he was, has slipped angel poison into the water she got. She was slowly suffering, and we could not do anything about it. Our powers..hadn't developed. We could only make objects shake at the time. We-..we tried to save her."

Selena just stood silently, her eyes tearing up.

Damien's fists were now clenched. "She died that night. He locked us in the basement to stare at her body for two weeks. The smell was horrible. By the time we got out, he was even more insane. Instead of beating us, he forced us to kill humans. Any human that came into sight he treated us like dogs, walking us around with chains on our arms and letting us loose when a human entered our eyesights."

Selena choked back a sob and slid down against a tree so she sat in the grass. Tears were now streaming down her face. She didn't think that Damien's childhood would get any worse but it did

Damien continued his story, still in the trance like state. "He began to tell us that emotion is weak and we will die if we are weak. Whenever he saw a woman like our mother, he would kill them. Keiran soon had enough. We were ten by then. He shouted at Father, angry for killing our mother. He killed my brother by drowning him. I was silent, and he locked me in the basement once more. I was the only of my siblings left alive, he killed my unborn sister when he killed my mother." He spoke emotionlessly.

Selena sobbed though it was muffled by her hand covering her mouth. She hadn't thought than anyone would be so cruel. She wanted to comfort Damien but it seemed like he wouldn't even notice

When I began to hesitate in my killings, my father was so insane he didn't think twice. He took me down to the basement, still coated with the smell of my mother's death. He then ripped my heart out, but had a witch make sure I could stay alive. He had her give him the control to my metal injection site, so I follow any commands from him. He erased all of my emotions to be absolutely positive I could feel no remorse or anger. However, I still remembered. And I did what I thought I should, so I managed to break the device."

Selena looked up at Damien, tears running down her cheeks. "You broke the device?" she asked softly
