He squeezes his hand. Please call me something nice. I didn't have anything do to other than be on the internet because people hated me oh god please don't judge me for this. By now, he was aware that he was panicking way too much, almost irrationally.

cecil nods, taking a second to process the information.
" that sounds really cool, i cant wait to listen to it! "
he smiles, looking at dan with soft eyes. his taste of music was a bit different from dan's.
maybe he could show him some alt-j or halsey some time.

he smiled. "you're listening to it right now," Dan brought up their hands and kissed them lightly. "I hope you like it."
The last bit came out a but of a murmur, and he dropped their hands. Dan didn't want Cecil to know what a nerd and hopeless romantic he was. When he was in his tribe, he spent most of his time on him laptop reading up on what's up in the world and what type disorders or kinks he might have. People never really talk to me, but I'm glad you do. he smiled bigger, the next song coming on. I hope you really do like it. if not, I can change it, I mean, to something you'd like to listen to, which is completely up to you, just not my poetry please. that stuff is gross. you don't want to know how depressed and anxious I am. nobody does. I want to show you the nice parts of me, not the rusted ones that don't quite fit right, or try to explain why I shouldn't have body heat. that's boring.

cecil looks over at the other. he actually was enjoying the music, it was different from what he liked, and yet almost the same. he saw his smile, and couldn't help but smile himself. this was so nice, so peaceful, so calming. he takes a deep breath, taking in the moment while it was still here. dan was so kind, and cute, despite what he might think.

cuter than I might think? oh gosh. Dan blushed vibrantly, which looked very much like rosacea from where Cecil was standing. he likes the music! I'm so glad. it took a lot of courage to do that. especially with him. I hope he doesn't get any closer. without consciously noticing, Dan scooted an inch closer to Cecil. am I creepy? hopefully not. I wouldn't blame him if he thought that, though. I have flour whit skin, my hands are cold but clammy, I don't smile, I'm so quiet... ugh.

he felt dan scoot closer, and he smiled. this music was fantastic, dan was fantastic, everything was just fantastic. cecil glanced over at him, then over at the window. it was so dark outside, as it always was at night. he hated it. the dark freaked him out, it was the scariest thing he could ever imagine. but he had dan. dan was the light when the darkness got to close. the thought was calming, and he let out a deep breath.

Breathe. Breathe, you're safe. You're holding his hand. You're okay. Just let the music flow through you. Relax. "So, uh, where am I going to sleep?" he said softly, almost inaudibly. He was about to fall to his knees out of exhaustion. Today had been overwhelmingly amazing and scary and everything in between. Even if he felt like his brain was trying to jump out of his skull, he tried his best to stand with shaking knees. Cecil knew about his teeth. He knew about him. Showing him his music was showing him a piece of his soul, and Cecil took it with warm, comforting hands. Dan was almost to tears, as he had never, in his life, felt the urge to hug someone more. Or even have the opportunity to. Even though Dan did like Cecil very much, he was very worried about his boyfriend.

He's pitying you. God, can't you see it? On top of all of your flaws, you're blind, too? Surprise, surprise, the cappy twink is starting to cry. Ha, ha, in front of his little crush.

"Shut up," he mumbled.

Oh, c'mon, it's not that hard to see. You've just gotta look a little closer. He's never going to love you.

The tears are running fast and hot down his cheeks, and he's worried that they might burn through. He's never going to love you. Dan just had to pick the most unavailable person in the tribe, didn't he? His shoulders are shaking violently, threatening to pop out of their sockets.
